  1. I was going to sell my KLF30s and go smaller on my HT, but I managed to finish in the top 600 at the main event of the WSOP so now I get to go BIG. I am going to keep my KLF30s. I'm going to sell my SVS 16-46PC+ (with 12.1 driver, +an extra 12.1 driver), I just bought 2 PB12/2+s for my subs. I NEED to find a black KLF-C7 and a pair of KSP S6s. I'd also consider a pair of KLF10s or 20s. Please PM me if you have any of these speakers for sale or know where I can find them. I havent seen any on ebay in the last 2 weeks. also-PM me if you have interest in my SVS 16-46sub.
  2. There are any number of sat/sub systems that will blow the Bose away...Athena Micra, Orb audio, I think Axiom has one, or try the new bookshelf system from SVS...for $999 you get the 5 bookshelfs and a PB-10 sub. My offer still stands to buy the C7 and perhaps the KLF20s from you. PM me if you want to talk. I had an Athena surround, with F1s, B1s, and a C1 that I gave to my gf when I found the KLF30s on craigslist. I definitely understand the size issue, but the speakers you have will scream if fed enough power. I'm in an apt. that flipped to a condo though, and I don't have room for what I want to put in here(luckily my lease is up soon), so I'm just going to cram it in here until I can move. You could put the center on a shelf above the tv if you want to keep what you have.
  3. Yep, just add a pair of KSP-S6 for the surrounds if you want dipole, or another pair of KLF20s or maybe 10s if you want direct. Or go for what I'm shooting for, and find a pair of KLF30s for the fronts.
  4. A set of 2 KLF20s, a C7, and a pair of KSP-s6s just sold for 1200 on Ebay. Typically, the C7 will go for 250-300. I personally need a black C7, if you want to sell it PM me. Im considering using KLF20s instead of the KSP S6s for my surrounds due to my room shape(I have KLF30s up front)...might be interested in your KLF20s as well.
  5. Hi, I need to get rid of my KLF30s. They are black, in perfect condition. I have the original boxes, shipping bags, and packing foam as well. I can email pics to anyone interested. They are hooked up to a Pioneer 1014 if you want to listen to them. Asking $1200
  6. I work for a lowvoltage wiring company, we do security, HT, intercoms, etc... we are authorized Pioneer, adcom, proficient, etc dealers. If you want to get some decent patio speakers, PM me, and I'll let you know when we have good deals on the proficient AW525s (like sometimes around 115-120/pair)
  7. I guess I won't complain about having to pass those up, I just got a 'like new' Pioneer elite VSX-41 for 150 bucks with BIN,lol. Now I have to decide if I should use that, or my Pio 1014 to run my HT
  8. cool I'm glad you got them. I would have done it myself if they would have shipped them, probably just to resell em. I want to makea center channel to go with my KLF30s, but I doubt the drivers from these would have helped any. If nothing else, part out the drivers and hardware and sell them on ebay
  9. I have a pair of KLF30s for my FL and FR...I currently have a 52"dlp, but am going to go to a projector setup, so I will have a huge area open under the screen for a center. We all know how tough it is to find the KLF speakers, including the C7. Instead of spending 400 on a c7, if I got loose drivers from the KLF series on Ebay, would building a center make sense? Let's say I got the drivers from a KLF10...I'd have the treble horn, mid horn, and 2x10" drivers...what do I need to know about horns as far as orientation? Would I want to stack them in the middle, and put the woofers on each side? Is there any advantage to building a horizontally oriented speaker vs. just getting a KLF10 and standing it in the middle(aside from finding a single KLF speaker)
  10. I would probably buy these myself, but they are local pickup only...cabinets seem a little rough, but I'm sure the parts are worth at least 50 bucks....maybe for some DIYers? ok I can't copy a link, but search for Klipsch Tract Rix, and they should pop up(they are the listing for "37.5" tower......")
  11. ______________|___________________ k tv k | | LR | | DR/KIT c | c | c | ____c _____ ch_ | | | | BR | where k=KLF 30, tv=TV location, c=couch, ch=chair. Note doorway in bottom right corner of LR. LR is a 3 walled room, 4th wall is completely open to DR/Kit. How will the missing left wall affect the sound field? I can place the RS KSP s6 immediately to the left of the doorway to the BR, so about 3 feet or so from the corner. I can also mount to the ceiling, if that will help. dimensions- LR is 12 wide(from FL to FR) and 16 long. dr/kit is 16 wide and 24 long How about thoughts of using a pair of KLF10s for the surrounds? I don't know where I could even put the RS though.
  12. emailed you been looking for a pair. forgot to ask u to put the SNs in the email as well, if you don't mind thanks
  13. www.recycledaudio.com has a used ksp-c6 for 250 bucks. Now help me find a black C7 to match my KLF30s:)
  14. Front wall is only 12 feet or so wide, so by the time I get my Bush Scorpion stand, 52"dlp, and the 2xKLF30s up there, there isn't much room left. I'm really kinda digging it on the back wall I think. I work for a low voltage company( we do home theater, among other things), so I had a tech. make me a 40 foot sub cable this morning.(Yes, I can get Pioneer and Adcom at wholesale pricing, lol) What I'm concerned with is mounting the surrounds...the left wall isn't really there, the whole left side is open to the DR/Kit....I wonder how the KSPs will sound with a wall on one side to reflect off of, but the other side doesnt have a wall for an additional 15 feet. My TOTAL cubic volume for the whole area is around 4500, so I'm gonna add another 16-46+ so I can just pressurize the whole thing I guess.
  15. I moved it around some today..I def.like it behind the sitting area better.... now I have some ?s about the KLF vs KSP for surrounds...here is my situation- the room is 3 sided, but one of the closed corners is a doorway, so that corner is really out for a speaker...I don't have a way to put two more floorstanders back there unless I make that door unusable(there is another entrance to that BR, but its through a bath). I can easily mount the KSPs on the back wall though. I figured the KSPs mounted up on the back wall will make a deeper sound field that KLFs on the floor. How do you like your custom center vs the C7?
  16. I just got my SVS 16-46+ yesterday...havent had much time to play with it. I'm currently redoing my HT, I used to have an Athena 7.1 (4xF1,C1,B1, and P400), which I gave to my Gf. My theater room isn't big enough to support a 7.1 I have a Pio 1014 receiver. I acquired 2 KLF-30s for my L and R...still looking for a C7 and the KSP6s. My room is a 3 sided room that opens into a larger area on the left side. I don't have much room up front, after I get the KLF30s placed, for the SVS. I can squeeze it into the FR corner kinda behind the KLF30, but the bassis very underwhelming there..is it likely that I'm getting some wave cancellation from the 2 12in drivers in the KLF30s? I have my receiver set to crossover at 80hz. I can put the sub on the back wall, basically directly behind the listening postion, I just have to get a sub wire long enough to make it there. It's kind of imposing though, having a 46" tall sub and 45" tall fronts, lol
  17. I work for a company that does low voltage work in new construction...we've actually been wiring a few 9.1 setups(for future expansion)..may be something to consider as well. Are you planning on doing a whole house audio system as well? Other things to keep in mind--it is now possible to do component video and HDMI over cat 5 (intellix just announced the HDMI equipment). I would run cat5 to every CATV outlet, along with the RG6. I would also run cat5 to each room by the light switch, and loop any ambient sound speakers through the same box, then back to the media closet. This way, if you want to use the standard analog volume control knobs, you can, or you can use the ABUS systems, or you can use the new Russound type distributed audio/video stuff. Basically, I would run cat5 to every appliance, entry to every room, and every CATV outlet in the house (and I would seriously consider 2 at each TV and 2 at each phone location) If this is a house you plan to be in for a long time, I would think of every possible expansion or technology upgrade you may make, and wire accordingly.
  18. now go back to Best Buy and find the speaker you returned in the open box section and buy it for a center channel
  19. I just picked up a pair of KLF-30s with original boxes, packing foam, and black bags for $450 on craiglist. They are perfect physical and mechanical condition. Now I just have to find the C7 and the KSP S6s to match up.
