  1. Thanks for the comparison / evaluation. Enjoy both pair. cubdog
  2. In Denver the going rate seems to be from $350 to $450. Not to speak for you but personally I rather sell them for a bit under market value than part them out. At least I would know they are in a home where they were being apprecieated. BTW they are great looking speakers. cubdog
  3. Does anyone know why Klipsch doesn't participate in the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest? It gets bigger and better each year and I was hoping to see and hear the new Heritage speakers. cubdog
  4. I heard those last Saturday at the RMAF. Despite their appearence I was impressed by their sound. At 106db it doesn't take much to drive them. Sorry but I can't remember what was used for amplification. cubdog
  5. Mike, my Cornwalls are driven by an Onix SP-3 38wpc. I may be getting old but I can get insane volume when the mood strikes. cubdog
  6. Your going to love the combination John. cubdog
  7. Welcome Vito enjoy those Cornwalls. cubdog
  8. Willie, so sorry for the loss of your friend. I'm glad you were able to get his speakers and I'm sure Mike is too. Get them when you can then enjoy them in memory of Mike. cubdog
  9. Are the Cornscala II cabinets new or adapted from original Cornwall cabinets? cubdog
  10. Very nice. How much different do they sound compared to your Cornwalls? cubdog
  11. Congratulations on the new setup. Sounds like a wonderful combination. cubdog
  12. KG4's? Well I do still like them. BTW I just got back from Illinios earlier this week. What great weather! cubdog
  13. Thanks to Intotubes, (Mark), I have a pair of Cornwalls. I was able to play with them briefly last night. Powered by my Onix SP-3 tube amp, 38wpc, the Cornwalls have some serious volume! My wife is out of town this week end so I should have some real fun. I'm really happy the search is over. They sound as good as I imagined. cubdog
  14. Thanks, I would still appreiciate feedback on 86 vintage Cornwalls. How do they compare to earlier models? I imagine 86 was toward the end of the original run. The seller says firm but if they don't sell right away he might go down a bit. cubdog
  15. Well the older $800 pair are gone. I called 5 minutes after they were posted on craigslist but the seller just called to tell me he sold them. Damn, they were the pair I was leaning toward. $900 seems a bit steep unless they are in mint condition. This is the second pair I have just missed this month. cubdog
  16. There are two pair of Cornwall for sale locally to me. One is an older pair with the screw type speaker conections in walnut. The paper label is in the old style script. I do not have a date or serial # yet. The second pair is from 86 and are CBR. Both appear to be in excellent condition. The older pair is $100 less than the newer version. Which pair would the experts recommend? Thanks. cubdog
