  1. Hey Trey, Dave, and Mark, Glad to see you guys on here. I bought The Sound Towne from Bruce in August 2005 lock, stock, and barrell, building and all. We are still a Klipsch dealer since the early 70's. I am trying to change some plans around to attend. If you wanna plan something in Texarkana, let me know and I'll do what I can to help. We have been known to kick a few back while cranking on some good old Klipsch speakers. I know some resturaunt owners here if we want to plan something. Just let me know... BTW Trey, how can I get an Authorized Dealer Logo put on my avatar?
  2. Dave you guys be careful down there. I have some friends coming up from the coast tomorrow. Looks like I'm gonna have a house full! I'll talk to Mike and see if he will come for the party. Todd
  3. Hey David, I'll talk to Mike and see if he will drive the Shelby GT500 down. I'll put my ST 70 in the trunk.
  4. Thanks Paul, will do. From what I have researched looks like a mmc20en was the factory installed cart. Which ones will work best on the linear tracking models?
  5. I personally know this seller and he is a great guy. He is an a/v rep in Texas. I have talked to him on these, but thats alittle much for me to spend. I would be a buyer at around 2 grand. I may contact him if they don't sell. If he can get $2700 for them I want him to. If he dosen't sell them, I'll make him an offer.
  6. Thank you very much for the info guys. I am watching a couple of cartridges on the bay now. Missed a good buy on one today. I will keep you posted. Thanks again, Todd
  7. OK guys tell me what you think. After alot of looking and asking I settle on a vintage Bang & Olufsen 4002 (1974-1979). I found the little baby on the bay and got it for $115 bucks. I have to buy a cartridge which I can find used for about $100 bucks. We sold B&O back in the day and Bruce told me the linear tracking B&O's were very good. He also told me he sold Thorens with Rabco arms and they were hard to beat. Do any of you guys have experience with these B&O's? What do I need to do to it to insure it is working at it's best? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Todd
  8. I couldn't have written it better Gary. You are dead on!
  9. Artto, looks kinda complex for me, maybe one of the guys could help me build it!
  10. Thanks for the words of advise guys. This is definitely new territory for me. I am enjoying sound tracks of Dolby True HD and DTS Master Audio on Blu Ray on a RF83 system. This tube stuff has really sparked my interest. Dave let me know when you are stopping by, would be great to meet you.
  11. OK guys what would be my best bang for the buck for vintage gear to use with in the new Heritage Room? BUDGET MATTERS LETS DON"T GET OUT IN LEFT FIELD......
  12. OK the lamp warning message will start displaying at 950 hours. The lamp reset is in the setup menu. Hope this helps.
  13. I am almost positive the lamp on that model is rated for 1000 hours. I remember customers complaining about it. I would not let it run over the 1000 range. I have seem the lamps explode and destroy the projector. Make sure you reset the lamp timer after replacement.
  14. That 1,000 hours comes around pretty quick, be sure and don't leave it on if you not watching it.
  15. The budget for the electronics is going to be tight. Probably need the best bang for the buck. What do I need to look for turntable wise? Whats affordable for a pre and power amp? Still......Looking for a nice set of Khorns for the collection..........
