  5. Hey all I was at my mom and dad's in Missouri over the weekend and found some neat old records from the 30's and 40's that dad gave me, and also some Phillips blank recording discs. I think I'll keep one package, but I have another package of 3 that one of you here might want-something from the old days ...Send me a PM and I will get them out to you, NO CHARGE, of course! Here''s a couple of pics.. Kevin
  6. I have a + - phasing switch on my SW10- what does that do to the sound? I always wondered... KG
  7. Ok, here we go with the Abba again... KG
  8. Has anyone heard one of these tube CD players listed on Ebay with a tube amp? Is the sound improved alot? I would like to get a tube CD player and the price seems good. Here's the one for sale - http://cgi.ebay.com/MHZS-CD33-UPSAMPLING-24bit-196k-TUBE-CD-Player-NR_W0QQitemZ130008852796QQihZ003QQcategoryZ3272QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem KG
  9. I'm going to lay in bed tonight thinking of everything I have ever done...Ok, here's a couple of things: Partied and jammed on guitar with Danny Hutton and Corey Wells of Three Dog Night in a hotel room in Memphis while I was managing Tommy Boyce (well they all jammed, I kind of played the 5 or 6 chords I know). And talk about some stories from the 60's and 70's between them...man what I would have given to have a video camera... Went to ASU on a track scholarship in '75-still have the Kennett Mo High School high hurdle record after 30 years... Grew up with Sheryl Crow-does that count? I lost my soul mate too from cancer in 2002- worst time of my life... Met soul mate #2 at my high school reunion and moved to Hot Springs to be with her after 20 years in Memphis.. And of course, I bought my '67 vette!! whew! more later... KG
  10. My girlfriends going to shoot me that I missed this offer... she has been hounding me to get her some Abba CD's. If she hadn't kept me out so late tonight I would have seen the posting earlier, so there! It's way past my bedtime... KG
  11. Now why didn't I think of that??? All that skoolin' to learn how to reed and rite and I can't even figgar out speeker placement... I guess that BS on that piece of paper from 5 years of kollege means sumpin' else...[] Thanks for the info H2 Guy KG
  12. Nice one Pete...Never ridden a Triumph. Used to have a Harley, but almost got run over a few times so I gave it up. At least in the Vette I have a chance. Not much of one, but a little... KG
  13. Yep- couldn't afford the big block- they're about 100 grand more now...crazy...If I can get my schedule right I might try to come to St. Louis for the get together in August. After all, this car was born in St. Louis 39 years ago. KG
  14. Ok, I give up..It shows the pic until I post it then it goes away...I will email it to anyone who wants to see it... KG
  15. Ok, I guess I can't post a PNG picture, so I will try a picture of the picture...How do you keep them from being so big! I never have understood these damn picture thingy's anyway..Does it have to be so complicated? If someone will tell me how to reduce it I will try again. And don't worry- that's not a chip on the door, that's a spot on the pic. I guess I'm just gettin' old...
  16. I have SW10 sub and RC-7 Center along with my 2 pair of 4's, so I have plenty of sound and depth coming from them, although my center is only used for movies... That's my surround setup, but I'm lookint at H2's for my tube amp. I will give the H2's a shot and see what's up. Should have kept the Belle's, but, hey, I should have bought Microsoft too! For you 60's fans, here's a pic of my '67. vette- my true baby. That's me with the hat and a friend of mines dad-the ONLY guy that has driven the car besides me in 4 years... Thanks for the info... KG
  17. Thanks guys..I'm probably going to buy the Heresy's...I have two pair of KG4's I bought in the 80's and may sell a pair of them. I had a pair of brand new walnut Belle's a few years ago, but alas, those are gone...Hope the guy in Atlanta that bought them is enjoying them. I've moved from Memphis to Hot Springs, so I will be in Hope next year! I will be the guy in the '67 marina blue vette convertible, so be lookin'! Kevin
  18. Am I going to tell a big difference in performance going from Kg4's to Heresy 2's using a Scott 222C amp? Thanks KG
  19. Travis I'm interested in your Pre-amp. When are you going to Hope? I live in Hot Springs... Kevin
  20. Thanks Bill There's an Eico ST40 integrated amp I can get for $350.00 and it's all original and very clean- are you familiar with that model? I'm not familiar with Eico product, but will look into it. I've been a Klipsch guy since the late 70's and look forward to being a forum member. Kevin
  21. Help! I'm trying to decide what tube amp to purchase for my KG4's, and my budget is small (around a grand or so). Any suggestions? I've been looking at some Chinese KT88's on Ebay, just not sure of the quality. I am familiar with the Dynaco product- I used to have a Mark III mono amp to drive my sub, but now I have my SW10 and didn't need it so I sold it. I really like the Dynaco ST70 amp and preamp for around $700.00. I would love a McIntosh, but with a preamp I think I would be over my budget. I sold my Belle's when I moved to a smaller home, and would love to get back into a tube amp. I listen to all kinds of music, mainly classic rock and some jazz-lots of Donald Fagen. Nothin' like Steely Dan thru my Klipsch... Kevin 2 sets of early 80's KG4's, SW10 sub, RC-7 Center, KG1.5 surrounds
