  1. Today, my iFi experienced the exact same thing. but I always left my iFi muted whenever I is not in use. As I played with the volume knob, only left speaker working, or right speaker working or only the sub working. Worst yet, when I plug in an iPod on top of it, the volume went 100% with high pitch! Please help, is there any spare parts I could order to solve this problem? I honestly love my iFi a lot.
  2. Hey, I have an exact problem as well. And my question is exactly like you, whether replacing the Controller would solve the problem entirely? at the moment, when I fiddle around with the controller either the left speaker on, or right speaker on, or the sub is gone completely, or the volume is like 100%? Basically I can no longer use my iFi. I would appreciate any advice at this time. Thank you in advance. Still, I really love my iFi.
  3. ok Yes, I replaced with a new battery and tried to press +/ - volume, and tried also press the play button for 15sec, both while the dock was green light or amber. But it still didn't work.
  4. Hi Andy, Actually the remote is new, I lost my old remote, so I bought two new Klipsch iFi remote. but now I realized it didn't work and require sync. I have also replaced to a brand new battery in case, but didn't seem to resolve the problem. But I will try again today.
  5. Please help, my Klipsch iFi remote doesn't work anymore. I tried to press on the play button on the remote for 10 sec, and I have also tried to press Mute/STBY button for 10 sec and it didn't work. Any ideas how to sync it? My Klispch iFI is SouthEast Asia version. Thanks
  6. Thanks Andy for your confirmation, I really wanted to get a confirmation from the Klispch side. When I went to the store I was about to pay for Slow Blow and then the store owner said it was best to use fast blow to better protect the system. I tried it and the fuse kept on blowing up twice in a week. Now with Slow Blow, I will try. I will use 2A Slow Blow and will move up to 3.15A Slow Blow if it still doesn't work out well.
  7. Just wondering because I saw they sell 2A Fast Blow Fuse, and Slow Blow. I noticed from the look of the fuse, it looks like it's a Slow type. But what is the true standard fuse for iFi? Thank you for advice.
  8. I own Klipsch iFI for over 2 years now and I just bought Jamo i300 today. Well, honestly I'm very impressed with jamo i300 since I didn't expect such a small speakers to sound so big and very musical in fact. Although Klipsch iFI is still superior in terms of overall Sound Quality compared to Jamo i300, but Jamo i300 comes very close to the iFI. It's amazing especially Jamo i300 is much smaller and more compact than iFI. I would recommend Jamo i300 to anyone who is looking for a good 2.1 speakers, especially now that Klipsch iFi is already discontinued. I heard Bose Companion 5, it sounded muffled, shouty, and digital compared to jamo i300. With jamo i300 you could actually hear the musical substance, such as liquidness, decay, body, articulation. The Major differences: Jamo i300: Great high, Great high midrange, good bass, lacking lower midrange, Stereo imaging is good, compact size, esthetically pleasing. Klipsch iFi: Slightly Rolled off high, AWESOME MIDRANGE very full and rich. Bass is VERY DEEP and articulate well. Stereo Imaging excellent, Huge size. I guess now it's time to move on. Welcome Jamo i300.

  10. Any recommendation on what else to buy to replace iFi? Because iFI is such a great system.
  11. You won't FEEL the bass, that's for sure. I have heard of folks putting bass shakers on their chairs for when they wear headphones. Bruce Uhm actually Ultrasone Edition 9 headphone when you pair it with a proper amp like m902/Rudistor RPX-33, you WILL FEEL the bass down your spine. Ultrasone Edition 9 is pretty well known for its quality bass.
  12. I own Etymotic ER-4S and they are an excellent IEM. Their foamies provide exceptional noise reduction. In terms of isolation, it's the best I have heard rivalling custom earphones out there from Ultimate Ears, Westone, Sensaphonics. It's nice to see Klispch finally jumping into the IEM market. I'm also very eager to hear how Custom 3 would compare to many top IEMs out there. I Love iFi Sound signature a lot, it would be nice if Custom 3 has similar sound signature.
  13. Uhm the cable rumble is most headfi community calls it microphonic. Everything else has been nicely explained by Mark. I have used many earphones before, and yes, I own the smallest earphones like etymotic before(Not sure whether Klipsch will be even smaller) and it did suffer from microphonic. And I had to put the cable over my ears to reduce the microphonic effect.
  14. I have been using iFi for over a year now, and it's such an EXCELLENT system. It's definitely the best computer PC I have heard. Very musical, emotional, the bass is superbly tight. The midrange and natural decay are worth dying for. I tried Creative Z600 sounding very dynamic and digital, but also clean, clinical, and digital. No decay, emotion nor musicality like the iFI. Altec MX5021 sounded boxy, harsh, not thickness and thin. The bass was also not deep enough. Altec FX series was not in the same class as iFI. What to do next if iFI decides to break down since I believe it has been discontinued?
  15. Hi TheEAR, I think you used to be active in 3dsoundsurge no? Anyhow, the reason I'm asking is because Sonus Faber monitors currently on sale 50% off in Australia. From AUD$1800 down to AUD$900.- which is very attractive. the Klipsch costs the same price as the Sonus Faber monitors now. I guess I'd better go for Sonus huh?
  16. Are they actually comparable or Sonus Faber wins totally? Anybody has experience with both of them? Thanks for the advice.
  17. Why?? no news with any new version yet huh? I hope Klipsch will release a much better iPod version soon.
  18. In terms of the high, it really depends on the type of music and quality you are listening to. If Rock, R&B, they may give fatigue to your ears. But if you are listening to high quality recording, Jazz, Blues, it's beautiful and detailed.
  19. After I have been listening to my IFi for a month with Default EQ as well as Treble Booster, I decided to leave the treble booster on. I find with treble booster, IFi sounded better with sparkling, airy, refreshing, better soundstage and not stuffy and boring like default EQ. I don't have sibilance problem with Treble Booster on. I thought I would like to express my opinion.
  20. Why not going Lossless since you all own an iPod? I own a 60GB iPod and have been using Lossless with high quatlity recording CDs such as Orchestra, Jazz,Classical. And AAC for pop music, Rock, R&Bs.
  21. Yeah it's a ripped off. Pissed me off too. but I have no choice where I come from no bargain for Klipsch IFi. I bought it from www.leapfrogglobal.com since I'm currently located in Indonesia so there is really no other alternative. Yes I'm in Axis with the tweeter. I just needed a little bit more treble since I was coming from FX6021 and, Sennheiser 650. I guess it's just my ears have been accustomed to something a little bit brighter. All I need is just a notch brighter hehe. The Transient in IFi is just amazing makes it sound rich.
