  1. This one is from a 1985 comedy: He'll buy that boat from that stupid boat catalog he's been making me look at for the last two months, and he will crash that boat off Catalina Island, and he will drown and die and seals will eat him.
  2. years ago, i lived in the same town as captain beefheart. i've met him on several occasions. he's just as different of a person as his music. last i heard, he was very ill--undisclosed illness; however, rumor has it that he has MS.
  3. my brother told me that ted nugent and alice cooper were the loudest concerts he's even been to.
  4. You get a free pass for that one; just please don't add a link to their website. Many of us obviously are still suffering from circa 1970's post concert traumatic stress disorder. But I will admit, when one of my kids was little, I attended an Alvin & the Chipmunks "Chipmunk Punk Concert." But, I balanced that out by taking her to an REO and a Guess Who concert.
  5. Anyone care to mention either their worst concert experience or an "embarrassed to admit I went to this one" concert? My worst was Blue Oyster Cult & Molly Hatchett back in about 1980. Flat tire on the freeway enroute to the concert--stripped lug nuts and no wrench. Finally get to the arena to hear Molly Hatchet's final song (the band that I wanted to see). Blue Oyster Cult was crappy--constant feedback. My friend hits a car leaving the parking lot, then about 2a.m his engine blows leaving us stranded on the freeway.
  6. It's good to see that I'm not the last living YES fan. I was disappointed to miss the 35th Anniversary Tour; but, have the DVD. My older brother got me hooked on Yes--we listened to Close to the Edge on his new 8-Track player. Definately in my Top Four of all time--along with Queen, Pink Floyd, (1970's) REO.
  7. I saw YES in 1978; they had a circular, rotating stage. I have tickets to see Roger Waters performing Dark Side of the Moon this fall. Who have you seen the most? For me: The Guess Who...three times and REO Speedwagon...three times.
