    A fond farewell

Hello John, a good friend over in the Right This Minute forum alerted us of your recent note to the group. I knew I had to stop by and meet you, as we have never conversed. I will admit, this is a first for me using the computer in this way, as in the past, with friends and family, there were visits to the hospital. All I can is that you are a brave person and have reached out to the Klipsch community with your heart heavy message. I can only wish you comfort from our family and your friends through your remaining time on this earth. Know that you will be surely missed by everyone you know and knows you... Respectfully and with hope, Gary

    What I Got Today!

Hey there Jsaint! This is really very nice! I have loved fans since a kid. I never realized how long Vornado was in business! What year is this model? We have a later generation flagship model at home and TWO of the yellow industrial models at work of the latest model line. Those are VERY powerful fans and when you start them on high speed, the revup is INSTANT, I would say full speed in half a second!!! Keep us informed with your progress ok ?? Great job !! .......Gary

  8. Here then is a final photo for you all................our wine selection for this dinner...........it was from our wine club and turned out to be excellent with this dish... A fine and FUN evening was had by all [Y] My guests walked back to there home just on the other side of our fence and we bid them a careful walk home.... All for now..............here then ends the tour of an actually dinner party Fine Food experience... Hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did putting it all together! Until next time..................put something tasty together and post for all to enjoy... .........Gary
  9. Here is a closeup of my dish..........the meatballs were completely enjoyed.. HOWEVER, the fellow accoss from me was doubtful that he would like the veggie meatballs and asked at the outset if he could speak freely if he didn't like them.............as it turned out, he only tried a little piece of one, and declined to eat the rest. He was just TOO used to the fine meatballs made by his Italian family members........oh well, can't please everyone []
  10. Here is our outdoor table setting, the guests are also seated at this point (Chris too)... Fresh flowers and the ever present oil lamp....
  11. Now on the side burner, I saute'd the veggie 'meatballs' with some XVOO and Lea and Perrins....
  12. After a short time, the baby bella mushrooms have been saute'd, the tomatos added as well as the star herb of this dish, SAGE [Y] DO NOTE, the stock pot has been moved onto the main grill burner to continue cooking...
  13. Meanwhile, Chris kept the guests going with conversation while I began making the pasta sauce................here on the side burner, the garlic, and onions etc. are in the mix.....
  14. Here is a photo of my chair side glass table with nosh dish AND the vino..........[]
  15. Our guests brought a very nice WHITE vino to start our night and accomp. the nosh....
  16. Here is a photo of the nosh that was provided for our dinner guests (us too [] )
  17. To be continued....
  18. Good evening fellow FOOD lovers......... Tonight, we had a outdoor on the deck dinner party..... It was just four of us and our guests were are closest neighbors... I sent them an email asking them to come to our outdoor table at 6:00pm. (they arrived on time) for nosh and a pasta dinner.........they are both Italian, so I knew it would work out nicely... I mentioned that during nosh, I would attempt to cook the complete dinner outside while they watched and talked, ALL of it on the grill !! Mind you, there was NO grilling what ever, but using the 5 natural gas burners as if the grill were an outdoor range. It worked ! Here is a photo showing the added hardwood tables to the right and left... On the left grill wing, ALL my prepped ingredients are covered and ready. The pot for boiling, stock pot for the sauce saute and the saute pan for the meatballs... The rest can be seen and identified...

  20. Hello Boxx..........thanks for the compliments on the photos and dish, Chris thanks you too since that was all his doing [] To answer your question, the marinate time (in the refridgerator) was about 3 hours. The steaks were 1" thick and the grill times were 3.5 to 4 minutes PER side... Chris will also share the potato salad recipe if you would like... He admitted that he omitted the capers [:$] ... Hope you can find some type of fish steaks to grill up and share via photos. All for now... .......G
  21. Oooops, I sadly neglected to include this photo showing an actual BITE................... enjoy....... []
  22. Finally, here is our wine selection for the evening and one that we have had a number of times and very good. Light enough as a RED to accomp. fish... This was NOT from our wine club, but a purchase from our local wine store... There you have it............hope to see others get inspired and show their dishes so that we can enjoy them as well.... Don't forget to include your place setting as I always try to do.. Thanks for checking in........COMMENTS are welcome of course [] .........Gary
  23. Here is a closeup of the dish................ Here we have the fish, AND a great potato salad made from scratch by Chris, it is based on XVOO, fresh dill, white onion, a dijon mustard and apple vinegar dressing (which he composed). Then and also from scratch, he put together the deviled eggs from his own recipe. All is topped with fresh, organic broad leaf parsley from Whole Foods where ALL what you see originated from... []
  24. Here is our table setting.........
  25. Here, the steaks are done and ready to be brought in for plating.................(to hot to eat outside tonight - but a nice AC'ed temp inside the house is what is needed)
