  1. Caps and reistors..............hell, I don't know, all I know is that they sound damn good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not the expert on this stuff, just know what I like when I hear it and if that means spending some bucks to find out..... I will. Alk, Deang, and Bec are on here often and they all do crossovers, you will need to ask them..... (as far as tech stuff) and I'm sure there are others on here that can explain more than I can.......I'm just a newbie, but trying to lean!! Have owned and listen to Klipsch speakers for many years and never realized that the oldrt speakers need a tune up now and then. This is what the doctor ordered. Im lookin into getting new crossovers for my KG 4's and Fortes as well, maybe even doing the same for my KG 2's.This madness never seems to end.........just bought a pair of Khorns last week and will be picking up next weekend............can't wait (have DeanG crossovers) Pick up a pair (Heritage) and join the maddness [Y]
  2. My first, was 10 years in hell ( can I say this)..........then I met my wife (best friend).......... we've been together now for 16 years, my best friend, bud and lover............... She still is not sure about all the money being spent on upgrades, new (old) speakers, amps and the like, but she seems too enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!(new diamond ring) She even agreed to let me build in the garage for my ultimate listening room (work in progress and new diamond earings). Just bought some Khorns last week and she's traveling with me to pick them up.......what a gal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!( Not sure what this is gonna cost)!! She is the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and I LOVE HER DEARLY []
  3. In my two channel system, I'm running two subs (would this be 2.2), one for each belle........ to me it sounds great. The subs are run quite low, just to accent the positive!!!!!! It really gives the whole sound a fuller (is this a real word) sound. More live sounding. Is'nt this what Klipsch is all about........... the live sound. When I'm sitting in my sweet spot.....................feels like I'm there [H] Could it be the ..............not sure........but it sure sounds good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Brad, I have personaly not listened to the extreme slope crossovers. I really took the advice from the people here on the forum and from reading posts. But I believe that the choice I made was a damn good choice!!!!!!! Cjgeraci makes some really good points on the difference of the crossovers than I could ever make, since my only comparison is the difference in the universal vs the AB that was in the belles. I too, have recently purchased a pair of Khorn's which I will be picking up next weekend. They have DeanG crossovers in them and am very excited about listening to these.......who knows, I might invest in somemore ALK's for the Khorns. BTW, your choice on the amp, let me know what you think when you get them. My choice, when looking for a new amp was between Craigs VRD's and some Mac's. I did chose the Mac (MC 275) but am still open on the possibiltiy of getting some VRD's, have heard alot of good things!!!!!!!!!!! .Blueberry X (with cream) would be my choice, especially if your going to be using a turntable. Have one, and I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck and can't wait to hear the choices you make...............Let us know!!!!!!!!!! Shinerman
  5. Brad, Still learning here as well. But made the decision from talking with Al and and reading posts of others who have his universal crossovers. Also, I'm one step closer to upgrading to an extreme slope crossover, if I decide to go that way later. To me this was a great choice, the belles have never sounded so good. The AB network was in the belles when I purchased about 6 months ago. I would highly suggest going with one of Al's crossovers.......
  6. The universial and it's made a big difference!
  7. Got home tonight and low and behold, a box at my front door delivered by Fed - Ex.............. and to my surprise was a box from ALK [] New x-overs could it be []. To my delight thats exactly what it be[] So I pulled out the old and installed the new and have not stop listening for the last 5 hours..............made the belles sound like new [Y][Y] This has got to be the best mod to the system so far!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Al (ALK), a job well done , Carson
  8. Just purchased a pair of Khorns myself, will pick them up in a couple of weeks. But not replacing my others...................just addin to the collection 5 pairs [Y]
  9. Silversport, Thanks for the info, I have found the threads.........
  10. So what would be the best stuff to use when cleaning or caring for the cabinets?
  11. On the back of my belles the tag says that the speaker type is BKOO, what exactly does this stand for?
  12. If Seti decides not to buy, let me know. I live in Amarillo.
  13. dwilawyer, Have these sold? If not, would be very interested.
  14. I believe it is Donald Bailey, but not for sure.

  18. What is the best way to hook up my sub KSW10 to the blueberry? Any help would be appreciated.
  19. I travled from Abilene to Midland once a week for many years in the mid to late 70's and would stop at "The Record Shop" in Big Spring and would browse for hours. Never failed to find some good stuff. Spent quite a bit of money in that place.
  20. Not local, but price includes shipping and insurance.
  21. Came across a one owner MC2105 for $1300.00 excellant condition inside and out, comes with slant leg wood cab and owners manual. Good deal or not?
  22. Yes, the Yamaha amp I'm running is ss and a 5.1 system. When listening to music I switch the effects off and listen to two channel. When purchased about 6/7 years ago I only had the KG4's and 2's and thought it sounded great. Now with the additioin of the Fortes and the Belles, the Yamaha tends to make both sound a little bright at times. Would prefer new, but open to slightly used equipment. Could spend more, but would prefer to stay within my stated budget or as close as possible. I seldom listen at low levels, tend to listen at medium levels and will crank it at times. I listen to all types of music; Blues, Bluegrass, Acoustic, Rock - classic/heavy/atl., Country - alt./new/old, Jazz and anything else that peaks my interest (currently have about 3500 titles in my library). Thanks to all who have responded!!
  23. Budget - $3500 or less, I'm looking for new, intergrated, but open to looking at seperates.
  24. I'm in the market for a new amp. Just recently purchased a set of Belles ( also have Forte's, Kg4's and Kg2's) and would like some suggestions on a good amp to make these babies sing. Right now I'm running them off of a Yam RX V992. The sound is good, but tends to be a little bright. I have been reading up on tube amps and believe this is the way I want to go but, I'm open to any suggestions. Would appreciate any and all suggestions.
