  1. The same seller has Khorn's, Forte's and Cornwall's listed on Ebay. He lives in Grass Valley, California. I don't know the seller but I probably live within 10 minutes of the seller. If anybody would like me to check the speakers out for you or assist with shipment let me know.

  2. WOW! And look at those manuals!

I picked up a pair of JBL 4311B in great shape at a garage sale for $10 yesterday. Heavy little buggers.

That's a great deal on the 4311B's, a friend of mine has had a pair of those for years and loves them. A used pair of tweeters for those sell for more than $100 on Ebay. I have a pair of 4312's. the old school JBL's are quite nice.

  3. Does anyone know of a thread or a document that describes all of the different Klipsch logo badges that have been used on the Heritage speakers, including pictures of the different types and details of what speakers they were used on?

From things I've read the expets on this subject seem to be colterphoto1, HudsonValleyNoah and Groomlakearea51, sorry if I missed anyone. Here is the best data on the forum that I've found:

Klipsch Heritage Codes Reference Data compiled by Groomlakearea51. This is the most comprehensive information that I've seen that provides the "decoder ring" for understanding all things about the Heritage speakers.

Colterphoto1 sold a bunch of logos a while back and his thread titled MORE logo badges had a picture of many of the badge types. It's the only time I've seen many of the types in one place.

  4. Has anyone put a protective grill on the passive radiator? (why?/why not?)

I have seen a forum thread where someone has put a protective grill on the passive radiator but I can't find it at the moment. I believe they bought them from Parts Express, they make them in lots of sizes and do standard and heavy duty. A friend of mine put some of these on the passives on his Forte's, I'll see if I can confirm which ones he bought or another forum member may be able to find the old thread.

  5. If you have an older receiver or pre/pro that doesn't have the DAC's for the new formats using the multi-channel inputs seems to be a good way to go. It looks like lots of the new home theater receivers don't always support all of the new higher quality audio formats. It also looks like only some of the Blu-ray players have multi-channel out and not all of the early ones supported all of the new audio formats. The new formats hold the promise of providing very high quality audio but the average consumer will probably have no clue how to get things configured to take advantage of the new technology. I'm sure there are much newer articles on the subject but I found this article published in 2008 very useful.
