Love Hertz, I have a copy you can have for $20. I also have a LD of Video Essentials if anyone is interested. Both are mint. Let me know. RG

Rob, Where are you located and what type of price do you have in mind? RG

Want to make Quartet or Forte into center channel.
Robert Gervais replied to Robert Gervais's topic in Home Theater
I have the Forte II. I was wondering if I just repositioned the drivers in the cabinet ( put the tweeter in the middle )by constructing a new face plate for the drivers to attach to. Will this work? Do I need to do this or can I just lay it down on its side and get good sound? -
I have a pair of Quartets and Fortes to go along with my Chorus II mains. Can I take one of the Quartets or Fortes and turn them on their sides and use them as a center channel? Would it be best to reposition the drivers, especially the tweeter (horizontally vs. vertically)? Has anyone done this? Thanks RG

I have a 5700 and may be willing to part with it for the right price. I am looking to upgrade to a 5803. I have had mine for 2 years and it is in mint condition. It works flawlessly and handles my Chorus II's, Quartets and KSP S6's fine! Let me know what price range your interested in.

Anyone interested in trading a pair of Klipshorns for a pair of mint Chorus II's and good pair of Quartets? I would also look for a pair of KSP 400 to trade for as well.

Help! Chorus II Blown Tweeter or Mid?
Robert Gervais replied to Robert Gervais's topic in Technical/Restorations
I did more tests and found it to be the mid. I just happened to have a pair of quartets and took the mid from one of those (just happens to be the same driver) and replaced it. It now works fine. No corrosion that I can see. I guess I'll be ordering a mid from Klipsch. Thanks for the insight. -
I have a pair of Chorus II's and last night I noticed I wasn't getting enough sound from my right front. I played a test disc and a 20hz to 20 khz sweep. The bass sounded fine but as it swept up the scale the sound got noticeably softer. I could still hear sound from the tweeter, but faintly. I also noticed a real hiss from the tweeter. Is it blown? What do I do?

Anyone have a Denon DVD 3000 that freezes up, pixelates or won't play a DVD at all? I do! For the second time. Denon replaced the laser in it about 1 1/2 years ago and now it's doing the same thing. To top it off, their customer service is poor. I am a huge Denon fan (5700, 3000, DRS 810, tuner, LD player and more). You would think a company like Denon would take care of it's customers. Klipsch has always done a fantastic job for me. Maybe I'm being a little harsh? Denon fans let me know what you think. RG

Candle Wax on Quartet Grille
Robert Gervais replied to Robert Gervais's topic in Technical/Restorations
Actually I didn't spill the candle wax. I bought them on ebay for $325/pair! Now it's dealing with the wax. I didn't figure I could go wrong at that price. They are in great shape outside of that one grille. -
Candle Wax on Quartet Grille
Robert Gervais replied to Robert Gervais's topic in Technical/Restorations
I am using the "warm" iron approach with a clean cloth to absorb the wax. So far it seems to be working. I am taking my time with it as not to damage the grill cloth. I have a cloth on both sides of the grill and the iron is a little more than "warm' to the touch. So far so good! -
Anyone have an idea how to get candle wax off a speaker grille. I tried to contact Martha Stewart and she was busy. I bought these on ebay for a steal but one of them handle a candle wax run down the front of the grille. I was thinking about taking a blow dryer and heating it up slightly and then trying to blot it off. Any suggestions?

I really didn't do any damage in my house, but I have a DTS Demo disc that I cranked up once. My neighbor came over and wanted to know "What the he** I was doing". Small towns are great! I invited him in and he about passed out. Now this is a guy in his mid 50's so the next time his kids came home, he sent them to my house to see and hear the set up.

I spoke with a rep from Clark Synthesis yesterday and got some good answers to my questions. I am about 90% sure this is the way I will go. Now to convince the wife!

I have looked at the Aura models. I am more familiar with the Clark line of transducers. I want to install a floating floor with two transducers in the floor. Just to shake things up a bit!

Any of you home theater nuts have tactile transducers installed in your home theater? I am looking at purchasing the Clark Tactile Transducers. Have read all the reviews and want to know the first hand scoop. Is it really butt jarring excitement?!!!!!!

Any idea on what issue of Sound and Vision that was. Any other ideas on how to convert my 5700 too 7.1? Thanks
-
Anyone using the Parasound CSE 6.1 or other component similar. I have a Denon 5700 I would like to try this with. I run Chorus II's for the mains, KSP C6 center, and S6's for the surrounds. I just purchased a great pair of Quartets on ebay for $325! I thought I would give 6.1/7.1 a shot with the Quartets in back. Any advice or opinions? I wish Denon would have come out with an update for the 5700!

I have lived in Minnesota all my life. Wellstone was WAY to left wing. I mean out there. Mondale, didn't he bash Reagan for running when he was 74? Shoes on the other foot now left wingers.

Looking for a great pair of Klipschorns. I live in SW Minnesota but would be willing to drive for them. Anybody have some?
-
HornEd, I would love to have a pair of K-horns for the mains and move my Chorus II's into the middle front and back and use my KSP S-6's for the surrounds. That would make me very happy. But I also look at the footprint that some of these speakers take up. I agree that it's hard to beat the sound of the K-horns but if these new speakers carry on the Klipsch legend I would be interested. GMan

Bob G, Where are the pictures of the new THX Ultra2 Certified Speakers? You don't know how long I have been waiting for these, thanks. Now to convince my wife to let me buy them! Way cool Klipsch! GMan

Wanted is a complete KT series system. I have a pair of Chorus II's, a KSP C6 center and a pair of KSP S6 surrounds to get rid of if I can find a complete KT system. Thanks

Anyone have a complete set of the KT series they want to part with? I have a pair of Oak Chorus II's, a black KSP C6 and a pair of black KSP S6 surrounds all in mint condition I could get rid of. Thanks
