  1. Willowbrook, Illinois The Kerry Piper (Irish bar / restauraunt) Klipsch Heresy's on the ceiling, painted the same color as the decor.
  2. That's not the only rule of guydom jb broke when he posted that pic.!
  3. I remember reading a PWK quote somewhere that went something like this: A direct radiator is like a piston moving up and down in a lake, just a lot of sloshing around. If we put a cylinder around that piston, now we can get some work done!!! Dan
  4. I am in Woodridge / Downers Grove, IL. I would love to come out and play!! Dan
  5. Lately I have been spending time with you guys, listening to music on the computer system. In the office I enjoy the music beacause I know the system is nowhere near perfect. Every now and then I run into a piece music that for whatever reason I just have to hear on the "Big" system. It's then that I will walk away from the computer and fire up the real deal. Then I just dissaper into the tunes. Dan
  6. Greg, yep, thats an SVS sub. pc 20/39 Meagain, Thank you for the kind words. The woofer is a Altec 515E 16" mounted on the front of the motorboard. You must have a good calibrated eye, because it is covered with an 18" embroidery hoop streched with grill cloth. That way I could have the "Decorator" look and still protect the driver from the cats and small projectiles launched by my kids. Terry, You are right, these were in a thread titled something like that a few years ago. Back then I wanted to show them off to all the people who helped me here at the forum. I still like to show off now and then so I post a pic when they are relevant to the conversation. Most of my friends don't appreciate my obsession, but I know you guys do. -Dan
  7. I remember seeing pics of your A7s years ago. I don't remember that TT in the room!! What is that thing? (I also bought some tweets from you in '03) Congrats on the Cornwalls. Don't forget to give us your impressions! Dan
  8. Classic Scenario. I think at one point or another we all have a good neighbor story. I have one about a guy who was excited to show off his new HT. He had a party and put his bookshelves in his windows. I let him brag for about an hour then went home and opened my sliding door. Metalica on big horns trumps Aerosmith on little bookshelves. His bragging switched imeadiately to how good they looked in his LR and how his wife liked them. Poor guy.
  9. OK, that's funny. It took me two years to figure out what ROTFLMAO meant.
  10. 3dzapper, What's your avitar about? Dan
  11. Years ago one one of the BB members created a link to what for a lack of a better description was "The Klipsch BB membership recomended TOP 100 jazz albums of all time" or somthing similar to that. I think that was back on the old forum. Does this link still exist? Who maintained it for us? Was it Allen? I wonder how it compares to the titles given in this thread! Dan
  12. Thanks guys, I have been messing around with something called groove mechanic. Demo time is almost up. seems to work OK, but I will check out some of the links you provided. Dan
  13. I just bought a nice TT from Boomac. I want to record some of my LPs to CD. Does anyone know of some decent software for recording Analog to Digital formats? I'm looking for something that would also remove pops and cracks. Preferably shareware. Any Ideas? Thanks, Dan
