  1. This looks like an awfully difficult horn to build. For those that have built horn enclosures in the past, how to hold peices together as they are glued? I would imagine it is impossible clamp them given the angles. Do people typically use biscuits? brad nails?
  2. wow - Thank you JWC!!!! I must say, I was waiting for the day you would share info about these, hoping I would built them. Didn't realize they were that complicated Looking forward to this thread.

    Never seen these...

If the midrange horn and diffusers are JBL - those alone are worth north of $1,000. I sold may pair a couple years back for about $1,100. The 2" Gauss drivers are probably worth close to $400 - $500. I also had a pair of those a couple years back which I sold for about $500. This is a great deal, and I bet that system sounds fantastic. I would buy it in a heart beat.
  4. Sorry guys. I'm only now seeing thits (had a busy weekend). Duly noted Maynard - I will try and take pictures of the underneath within the next couple days.
  5. Thanks Mark. Just to be clear - I believe these amps are not 300B amps. Hopefully someone with more knowlege than me about these can chime in.
  6. Have for sale my Don Allen 1626 Monoblocks. I will say, you will have little luck finding much on these. If you are interested, and are locally within the MD/DC/VA area, you are certainly welcome to audition. These amps seem to be somewhat rare. The are not the last word in audio - but when I spoke to local DIY hifi-audio community, everyone recommended I seriously consider them because of the price/performance factor. I've only owned a handful of tube gears, but I enjoyed these more than I enjoyed my restored Eico, Scott, Fishers, Welborne 300B DRDs, and my Music Reference RM-9. I only have one complaint about them (and the reason for the sale) - I wish they had a little more headroom. Don't get me wrong, the can get plenty lound on my 96db system, certainly louder than normal listening levels. However, if I am listening to one my my favorite songs, and wish to really crack it up - they eventually give up before my ears do. Thus, it is with a heavy heart I have to let them go. I would have sold something else instead, but decided to sell these as they would be better suited for someone with even higher efficiency than my system (i.e., north of 96db - Cornwall, LaScala, Khorn, etc.). PM me for pictures. I was lucky enough to purchase these from an estate sale and my total costs including shipping was $825. It would be ideal if I could recover my cost ($825+shipping). Give the diy-like nature of the amps and silly slow summer sale season, new price for klipsch forum members for $725+shipping Cheers,
  7. Have for sale a Panamorph UH480 anamorphic lens. Looking for $1,200 plus shipping. Don't have pictures at the moment because its with Panamorph (had it fully cleaned and confrimed that its performing to factory specs before selling to the new buyer). Please PM if interested.
  8. Have for a sale a Carada Criterion 120" (CinemaScope 2.35:1) Screen - $400 for local pickup in MD/DC/VA only. It has the Brilliant White upgrade (i.e., 1.4 Screen Gain) All boxed up so no pictures :-( Will consider trade for a 112" Criterion CinemaScope screen or possibly other items.
  9. wow - someone can pick up my Eliptracs on the cheap and just install them into these. They should fit right in right?
  10. Have for sale four sets of Mapleshade Brass Footers: 2 sets of Mapleshade Surefoor Set (which Mapleshade sells for $52/set + shipping) 2 sets of Mapleshade Heavyfoot Set (which Mapleshade sells for $95/set + shipping) There is noting wrong with them - only selling to finance a projector purchase. I'm thinking I can do $SOLD$ Shipped (these are VERY heavy) - thats essentially like purchasing at 50% off. Some people believe these help - other feel that they dont. For those that are curious, $SOLD$ is not too steep of an investment. I certainly felt there was some benefit from using them under almost any tube gear as well as other products that are senstive to movements (transports, turntables, etc.) See pictures below
  11. Musicook, I can offer to ship. Being MDF, these are rather heavy . Pictures see pictures below - there are small imperfections and thus I'll reduce the price to $275+shipping. a. See pictures for condition b. Previous owner lost one of the driver mounting plates and thus I had to order one separately. c. There was a small chip on the very front of one horn – previous owner repaired it see pictures d. There was some separation of the MDF with the previous owner repaired and did a fantastic job (see pictures of inside - first picture and outside - last picture) e. The two horns operate indistinctly and I promise you that you will be satisfied f. I will accept return if not satisfied
  12. absolutely - I'll take pictures later this evening (at work at the moment). I thought I start the sale thread - just to see if anyone was interested.
  13. Thinking about selling my Eliptrac 400 Horns. Will take pictures. They are with the finished look with the exception on one mounting plate (which was separately purchased acquired). Not sure what to ask - but was thinking about $SOLD$. They are fully funtional and will honor returns. I've done my best to highlight imperfections in the pictures below - nonetheless, if for whatever reason you are not satisfied with their condition about delivery - I'll honor a return. I was perfectly happy with them - Only reason whay I am selling is because I need the funds a projector purchase. I am actually willing to consider partial trade for an older (higher end - JVC/Sony/Epson) - 2D projector. Local buyers (MD/DC/VA) welcomed. PM for details.
  14. I too owned the JBL 4645C, they have the 2242H Drivers, and hands down they were the most musical (and powerful) 18" drivers I owned.
  15. Have for sale JBL 4312B Monitors for Sale. These have also been listed on ePay site (LINK) Can offer to Klipsch Forum Members for $425. Local pickup in MD/DC/VA. Please see link for pictures.
  16. Sure, I'll try and take pics later today and upload.
  17. No problem John. Let me know if someone is interested.
  18. Sidevalue, I'm not sure how old it is - but is in good shape. I should work with all of Apple's new devices (ipads, etc.) because almost all are backwards compatible. If I remember correctly, this is Wireless G. If you are interested and you decide to purchase, and for whatever reason you are not happy with it (because it gives you install issues or sub-par cosmetics) - just shoot me an e-mail/PM and I'll gladly refund you the entire purchase price and you can hold on to it for paperweight. Thanks, D
  19. Title says it all. I have one I'm not using. Not sure what to ask? $15+shipping? If thats too high - let me know - I don't have use for it but don't want to toss it either.
