  1. Why have I started redrawing my room layout with a LS center, No cant do it... maybe some CW surronds to replace the F II to be all Heritage...Noooooo
  2. I am been impressed with the Audyssey that is in my new Denon AVR789. For the price it is a good deal. I have had other Denon AVR before and this one is a bit nosier at higher volume levels. So if you like it loud I would suggest moving up the Denon family tree a bit and this will be solved as this is the base model. I have ran the Audyssey program with Forte II (L&R) with a KSC-C1 center and some small surronds, also with Forte II and a Heresy center and the small surronds and finally with my Klipschorns (L&R), Heresy center and the Forte II as surronds. Each time every parameter was diferent so I am convinced its not just a canned program or two.
  3. I bet this baby just hits it hard, I know my lil ole PC12-NSD does a good job and SVS is a great company to deal with.
  4. sounds as if I need to give this one a listen. Thanks for the tip.
  5. Please reserve a spot for me. I may have a car show to attend that I am organizing one of those days (and I just recomended the 13th last week, rats) but that will only be a part of one day. Talking about sensory overload for me, I cant wait. Thanks for putting this on for all of us.
  6. How about the summer solstice weekend. something magical about those long evenings with the slow sunset and great music.
  7. I have been using a SVS PC12-NSD for a couple weeks now. I am pleased, I have front Forte II and the xover on the AVR set to 60hz. Some RS52 on the back wall may be a nice surround for you.
  8. If you go with a unit that has individual channels out in analog to your AVR you will loose a little volume than going to the AVR via Digital. Just something to think about if you are already volume challenged
  9. I didnt give eD as good a look as all the others. I decided upon and ordered a SVS PC12-NSD, its supposed to be here Friday. For the total cost including shipping and the 16" diameter footprint it seemed to be the most "boom for the buck" so to speak for me. After I set my AVR to no sub and let the Forte II do all the work I almost decided to put the sub purchase off, but for HT I wanted that down to 18HZ or so effect. I have never had a real sub so to speak just a old cheapie so I am looking forward to it.
  10. I really hate to hear this as my 12 year old sub just died and I really wanted a Epik Caliber. Looks like I may have to go to AV123 MFW-15 as an option. I like the wood options on the MFW-15 better than just black for the lower level Epik. But the Built in the USA with North American parts was a huge plus for this proud American.
  11. Rats, I took Friday off work and didnt check in till today, looks like I missed out on the fun.
  12. Michael if you get any takers I would love to tag along. I would never ask anyone to open their house to a stranger but I would enjoy the experience of being around different models of the Klipscsh line and learing more about them.
  13. Bill H. no problem. I understand protecting ones turf. I wish I would have found this site a long time ago, then I wouldnt have been a newbie looking for heritage speakers. But then again if I hadnt been in the market for some I may have never found this site. I am a moderator on 2 web sites related to the automobiles I collect, race, show and restore so I am familar with these types of forums and do not to jump to any conclusions or read to much into anyones comments that I do not know personaly. So on that note I hope to meet you sometime soon as well as the other Indy Klipsch fanatics.
  14. Michael I appreciate that very much. I work in the 96th St and Micigan Rd area if you would like to meet for lunch some time.
  15. Bill H. sorry didnt mean to step on any toes, glad to hear I am on the right track though with my desire of some Forte II. I dont mind standing in line when its worth it.
  16. Michael I greatly appreciate the offer but I am going to hold out for the Forte II/quartet/heresy for now. I am still mourning the loss of the forte II that were on EBAY from Fishers that was BIN that I never even seen before they were gone right from under my nose.
  17. I am finally able to replace my KG2's that I purchased new in 1987. I am interested in a pair of Forte II or Quartet's and possibly the right pair of Heresy's. Any condition or cabinet material considered. I am willing to travel to pick them up to reduce the possibility of damage and eliminate shipping cost. These are for my personal use. Also I would like to say that the information I have gotten from this forum is incredible and can not wait to learn more.
