  1. I have the same setup. I tried a KV-2 and also found it somewhat lacking, but I'm happy with the KV-3. I may be mistaken but I believe the KV-3 is more sensitive at 95db than the KV-2 and a closer match to the KG 5.5's $.02
  2. [:|] That's just friggin nuts!!!!
  3. I am very very happy with my 50" Panny Plasma. I wall mounted it with an articulating arm mount which allows adjustable swivel, tilt and skew and can be pulled out a couple of feet from the wall when in use and then pushed back in nearly flush. A very versatile mount. C-net does a wonderful job reviewing TV's. I would look at their site. You should have no problems at your price point.
  4. I use a Furman power conditioner and an APC UPS. A basic standby UPS will not provide an AC power firewall or eliminate line noise, you need a dual-conversion or online UPS for that function. Here is a pretty good explanation of the various types of UPS's. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uninterruptible_power_supply
  5. HK says to set your crossovers at or near the low end frequency response of your particular speaker. I THINK you use the LFE setting if you are running an RCA plug into your sub, if you hard wire from your speakers then you would use left/right.
  6. There is not, possibly due to copyright infringement laws?? http://hometheater.about.com/od/dvdrecorderfaqs/f/dvdrecgfaq11.htm There is a nifty work-around with Dish Network HD DVR's allowing external Hard Drive archiving. Echostar supports up to 750 gigs per EHD and you could have multiple EHD's.
