i am getting tired also with all these ads - i emailed a few - called left messages - i did get one call back - not sure with the shipping etc, - will get back to me - and the first one i am back dealing with him - he will get me the shipping costs and then i can know for sure what the cost will be to me in total - i believe if he does that and its not over $200 to ship - i may just get them and be done - he says in excellent condition - one marking of a something on the top of one speaker and one rear dust cap pushed in - thats all from the pictures he sent me - i guess i find out soon enough hopefully it works out for both of us - he wants no less than $600 plus shipping - i realize theres no other for me anyway - i always have to end up with shipping expenses -

i always liked the KLF 20 - 30 also - 20 better choice for size - i remember when they came out but i didnt have the space at all for those - i just checked Bobs site - i seen them - but they are even larger than the forte - much wider - i have a hard time with the forte but i can do it - any wider - not sure - but other than that - its the same issue - shipping - they will ship - but the cost who knows - the speakers alone are going to be close to $2000 - plus shipping and they are 300 pounds !!! $800 sounds better to me now for the Forte II shipped in my home hopefully that works out - but good to know there are other options in the event - i can always call him and see what he can build - maybe he can do something different - i am watching Klipsch also for next year - wonder what they will bring out - also i liked the 3 way from Bobs - just looked cool - i am sure sounds even better

yeah that is alot - i wont pay that much - traveling is not going to work out for me - this is usually why i dont buy used alot because i need it shipped all the time - wheelchair user here - thats the reason its so much harder for me to find a pair - so i always end up paying much more than the item for the shipping these being large and heavy - i have to add $200 to the cost no matter what - more or less - i made an offer to someone on GL - its in CT - the asking price is $850 he wants - i take them if he ships them for that amount - or brings them to me thats fine also - being that they are in very very good shape - it seems - never know till you get them - what one person thinks is good shape - may not be for another -

i guess i wont have to worry about that just yet - i dont have them - and dosnt look like i will anytime soon - but in the event - the dust caps isnt a big deal then - in the rear its also not seen much - i would know but wont see it - the fronts - thats another story - would bother me to see them pushed in or dented etc,

ok thats good news - and yeah - they are not black - but i wont let the color or finish bother me at this point - i can always refinish or paint black if it bothers me that much - i dont mind the walnut or darker Oak etc, - Good man, I feel the same way. so you have the originals still and how do you like them ? i would hate to pass up on a good pair - good price even if they were the forte I - but at the same time - i dont have room for so many - and then once i get the I - i bet i will find the II - always that way - i am starting to get tired and this will die down - my itch to get them - i wont give up - but not going to stress it so much - all i care about is the cabinets in great shape and drivers etc, - grills also -- color i dont care right now - just finding someone who will ship is harder than finding the forte II haha - oh well - maybe i should have them built if i knew i could get the horns for them and a cabinet - i would just do that and be done with it

i am in NYC - Manhattan - i am looking for the II model - i figure if i am going to get only one pair - i might as well wait and try for the II and not worry about it after - or else it will be on my mind all the time - what if i had the II - how would it sound - etc, etc, - but yes your right - that is a nice pair - if let say i find a pair for $200 - i know never will - but for some really low price - then i would get it regardless and still look for the II model -

that sounds great i think the forte II is a large enough speaker for my apt. - since i am keeping the 82's also - i did reach out to someone for a pair of Chorus II i seen but i doubt it - its in Nevada and i dont think he wants to ship them - they are huge - i am not looking to do any work to the forte II other than keep it new looking and sounding etc, - at best i may do the upgrade later on from bobs etc, - where would you add the 2.5 ounce on the rear passive ? how do you add them and what would you use ? i heard this before but never seen a picture of it -

how bad is having a hole in the dust cap and the other pushed in - does this affect the speaker at all - things like that drive me crazy - to see it pushed etc, - is they any way to replace just the dust cap - ?

yeah i guess your right - i am going to regret it if i rush somehow one way or another - i may have found a few forte II - looking around - not sure if they still have them for sale - but one is going for 850 and i do need them shipped no matter what - i think thats too high - another pair for 700 - i may follow up on them to see if they are still for sale - i am not sure what is a fair price - minus shipping -

i have check - i just started to look - got the itch and want a pair now - i actually seen a very good condition Forte Original - i asked if they would bring it to me - deliver or drop it off - price was not bad i think - i havnt heard back and i havnt really decided - i would hate to get the first model and then find a good Forte II - that would drive me nuts - i hardly never buy from CL - but i guess i can try - i dont trust it really - thanks - so you feel its worth going for the II instead ? what if i get a great price on the first model - ? what do you feel would be a great price for the first model that would make you say ok i take it for that amount - ?

i cant seem to get a hold of a pair of Forte II - i had a deal almost and it didnt work - so my question - i can find a few orginal forte models - is it worth getting the original forte or try to wait for a Forte II to show up - ? a friend of mines has the II - i like it - but never heard the original so cant compare really - what do you think - wait for the II or just get the original if i can ? i dont want to be disappointed since i already know what the Forte II is like - just the look alone of the huge horn is making me want it

The speaker KG 3.2 is a overlooked speaker - they may not have been the top of the line - but the sound would make you think differently - the real reason i got them was because of the passive in the front - giving me better options on placement - unlike the rear passive drivers that need a wall for the best results -

I just had a few hours listening to them and i have to say - they are a nice sounding little speaker - its little compared to the other models - but not a small speaker for many in apts. - like myself - i havnt decided yet but will soon depends on if i can close a deal for a pair of Forte II - thats the only reason i am even thinking of getting rid of them because i just dont have the room for more than two pairs - so if i get the forte II - i have to move one pair out - i have it hooked up to my EMO XP 5 amp - its a good 200 watts with all 5 channels running - but with 2 channels its 275 watts - i have them in direct mode which is best for me i think - and they sounded great - handle it with ease - and if i end up keeping them - thats how i will leave it with the EMO amp - and run my 82's with the QSC GX 5 amp - that works great for the 82's - its a balanced speaker - not too much boom but enough and the highs are nice when you raise that volume up a bit - with jazz - saxophone - and female vocals - its not bad at all - i had a pair i purchased new in 91 i think - long story - one got misplaced during moving a few years back - i liked them enough to make me find another pair - and these are the 3.2 model - i had the KG 3 in black - but these are Walnut - which i like actually - they were in excellent condition when i got them and i just polished them - keeping the wood clean shiny - well kept - no smoking here - i have them on stands and are same level as my 82's with the stands - i even have pictures of when i changed the crossovers - i have to find the pictures - i will post them - and i am considering giving them to a friend also who lives in my building who i know would appreciate them also - i even have my marantz 7002 AVR sitting in a box for a year -- since i got the EMO gear - - i used to run them off the Marantz - that was a good match also - i am holding the marantz for this friend also - when she makes up her mind and decides she wants them - i will give them to her - till then - if she really dosnt want them for any reason and i end up with the Forte - i then have to consider selling since i dont have any one else that would take care of them and enjoy them - or i have to throw out all my winter jackets and stick them in a closet i tell you - i wish someone gave me things like this when i was younger - i have both options on the table - and i figure i ask what i should sell them for if i end up selling them - i was also thinking of upgrading the 82's next year if a new set comes out which i may like - like a RF 5 maybe comeback ? something along those lines - i have no real reason to upgrade any of them really - they do sound great - its just the only way to listen to other models - i have to get rid of one pair to add another - if i had a home - i would just keep them all -

Hi - i am not sure if this is the right section to post this - i am curious i have a pair of these KG 3.2 - in what i would say is excellent condition - walnut - grills are good as new - everything works great - i added the bobs crities upgrade for this also - i believe he never got an request for a cross over for this model - i was the first - the picture of the crossover on his website is the one he made for me - took a picture before shipping it - my question is - how much do you think i can try to sell this pair for ? i know they are not the Top of the line models - and the chances i wont recover my total costs for all the work i done etc, - If someone needs a decent size speaker with a great sound also - these can work nicely - i am considering selling them - i want to try a new model of klipsch and just dont have the room any more - i have a 5.1 82's set up -- i may sell those also and start over with different models of klipsch - i can post pictures if needed - i just havnt decided 100% if i should sell them - what do you guys think - if you were in my shoes - what would be a decent price to sell them for - i cant ship - i am in NY - would have to be pick up - and you can hear them that way also - thanks - Claudio

i looked over the garage section for a pair of forte II - i dont think i will have any luck - i guess i will just let it go and keep looking till i find a decent pair - with price etc, - and i do it shipped where ever i get them from - thats my other issue i cant work around that - if anyone knows of a pair of forte II for sale - PM me - i would like the KG 4 also which i can get right now - but afraid that i may miss my chance at forte if i do - i dont have room for both

i would get in touch with klipsch - call and ask first - you can try a new grill and comes with it or find a used grill if i has the emblem - or worst case - i seen someone have a emblem made - custom - i guess you can try to get the same size made and say the same thing - not sure if the look is the same in the Font - but you can try - it would stay together with magnets so would look very nice - search on amazon for that - i think its laser etch - something like that -

i wonder how much of a difference in sound is between the original and the II forte - i see a few more orginals for sale with the smaller mid horn -
