Ok. Went thru the menu on the reciever , Pioneer VSX-D509S, and in the sub menu you could have ON OFF or PLUS, I put it on PLUS and I have signal now. Not as good as in the other system I have with a Yamaha reciever and the same sub. I will just have to play with it I guess. that is the fun part though. Thanks for the input guys. I love this site.

My computer speakers took a crap on me recently and I find myself in the market for some new ones. What is the difference between the 2.1 and the GMA A 2.1? Which would be better for just casual listening? I already have a HT set up of all Klipsch and would like to try their computer speakers. As far as durability, are the Klipsch computer speakers worth it? Looking at the posts here I am kinda worried about buying some. Thanks for the help guys.

Got it over the weekend from CL. Got it home and I get no sound when I plug into the rca inputs, if I run the speaker wire to the crimps , I get sound. Any ideas guys? Thanks.

I did. I spend way more time at her place , and the 42 will be a huge step up for my apt.

I ended up buying a 50" this weekend. It is going to replace the 42" that is at the girlfriends place and I will take the 42 " to my apartment. I sure am glad she is ok with me doing this stuff.

Thanks for the link. And all the advice. As far as tv size goes, I have heard to go big. However due to how small my apartment is I will be sitting just about 6 feet from the screen. That is why I was thinking a 42 inch. Or is this going to be too big for the limited amount of space that I have?

Well it sounds like blu ray is the way to go. Thanks. Right now I just have a piece of crap tube tv. I am hoping to get a deal on a 42" Panasonic plasma in the coming weeks.(SuperBowl Special) Hopefully I can get them to throw in a blu ray player.

I would like to get a new player, but I am not up on the technical stuff on Blue Ray. Should I go with a Blu Ray or get a good DVD player like one of the Oppo's? IS there really that much difference between the two ? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well I checked out the Monster website and read the owners manual. They say not to defeat the three prong with an adapter. What if I run a good thick extension cord from a three prong socket? I would just be making the power cord longer. Until I can get an electrician to change the socket next to my stereo. Any ideas?
