  1. What would cause my rc-62 to blow drivers? One driver stopped working awhile back and i got it replaced and now the other driver stopped also. Everything looks good just the cone wont move at all Any one got rc-62 driver to sell? I didnt think I was playing it too loud. First one went bad with a Onkyo 605 running it and the last one has a Onkyo 5007 running it.When they go the reciver shuts down when I turn it up.Any help on what is causing this?
  2. I have the Onkyo 5007. I run rf-82 fronts,rc-62 center,4 rs-35 rears,rt-10d and 2 Klipsch pro media sats for height speakers.I cant really tell how much I hear the heights but overall I love the setup. The sound is alot better then my old Onkyo 605 I was running.
  3. Would turning up the center channel help in this situation?
  4. I took the driver out and tried a battery on it and it does nothing. The little wires look good as does everything else.Anything else to check with the driver?
  5. I just found out that my center speaker(RC-62) is causing the problem. One cone isnt working and must be shorting out somewhere. Not does anyone know what I can check for to see if I can fix this without having to send it in?
  6. Also the center speaker has been causing the onkyo to shut off (protection mode) when cranked up. If I unhook the rc-62 and use another center it dosnt. No idea what is wrong.
  7. I just found out that one cone on my rc-62 isnt working. I took a little battery and touched the speaker wire to check phase and one cone was fine and the other didnt move. I thought I noticed it wasnt sounding right when I was real close to it. I took it apart to check for a lose wire and everything looks fine.Any help as to what to check for would be great. I have a new Onkyo 5007 coming and I want everything ready to crank when it gets here. Thanks, Steve Bond
  8. I have a onkyo 605 running RF-82s,RC-62, RT-10d and four old pro media satellites for surrounds. I bought two RS-35s and two RS-25s to replace my old surrounds and the guy i bought them from delivered and set them up. He owns a audio/video store and knows what hes doing or so i thought. After we hooked up the new surrounds and ran audessey the Onkyo would shut down into safe mode when we turned it way up. It never did that before. It would go as loud as i could take. Now it wont. It plays loud but not like it did. It shuts off when I try getting loud like before. What do you guys think is causing this? Any help would be great. Thanks, Steve
  9. I just got mine and all the little balls that hold the grills on were broke off. Lucky that everything else was good. Box wasnt damaged at all. I like the setup on my RF-82s better. They use magnets.
  10. Pro logic llz is all new and isnt the same thing Yamaha had. When BD discs start coming out with this its going to be good.Cant wait.
  11. Yea, I just ordered. How was it getting it setup right?
  12. How will this sound with a Onkyo 605, RF-82 and RC-62? Sounds like a good deal.
  13. Yea, I almost did it on my backstroke. I was telling my buddy to becarefull and I almost do it. Drunk pepole tend to get on the fooseball table and whack away but everyone knows how anal I am about my Simonis 860 cloth on the pool table. Thanks Joe Shmoe, its a warning I shall heed.
  14. What do ya mean? The walls? I've been thinking about painting the walls. Let me know what ya mean. Thanks.
