  1. That is not the case here. An opinion about a specific product was not shared, however a blanket statement about small buisness was made. I can see there is little point of trying to stick up for the small builders in this group, but aparently it's ok to bash them. I have nothing more to say on this subject. Craig.
  2. Looking good, I think you are using the same drivers as Zu Audio's Druids. The difference is Zu machines custom phase plugs and horns for the druids. Found this on another site. The tweeter is fed by a 1 mfd Kimber Kap resistor through a 12.5 ohm mills resistor. The tweeter appears to be an APT-50/3 that is not stock. Craig.
  3. Actually, many forum members and people all over the world think these products sound excellent. Once again you managed to dodge answering the question whether or not you have heard these products, so I bid you adieu. Craig.
  4. Have you ever given the small manufacturers horns a chance? My guess is no! I have tried Trachorns, Fastrac's, Volti Horns, and all of them sounded excellent. Seems all you are concernd with is constant directivity. I hope you have alot of traps for the reflections. Craig...
  5. I agree, far better to go with a horn built by a 12 year old girl in Taiwaan. Craig.
  6. Great disk, and nice offer. Please do not add me to the list as I already have it in 4 different formats.
  7. Good point, I dont have a better explanation. The Tractrix sounds bettter to me. Like watching movies in HD, its just better. Once you go Trac, you never go back. Wow, that's cheezy. Thats what I thought til I heard a wood Tractrix. There is little point in trying to explain, until you have the opportunity to hear the difference you will be happy with what you have. Craig.
  8. Neither horn sounds better than the other, if you want better sound consider a Fastrac, if you are pleased with the sound, wrap the horn with rope caulk to resolve the ringing associated with the metal horn. Craig 73
  9. Greater clarity yes. Sharper outlines? Not sure what that means. Large soundstage, Yes Precise presentation, Yes True to the music, Yes IMO the Fastrac is a vast improvement.
  10. The difference is night and day, the Fastrac doesn't shout, no coloration or ringing. The Fastrac has better detail and extension, and is an improvement with any network I have tried. Craig
  11. Has anyone else realized that the thread started has not posted since the starter? Craig.
  12. I like the red..... Keep up the good work. Craig 73
  13. Very true, however we are talking about Type AL crossovers[:S] If it were anay other crossover I would agree.Craig 73
  14. Brian, very cool project indeed. I will be looking forward to your speaker report. Justin, I thought you were going to like the Drift. You have a nice system, and Dave tells me he liked your Emo DAC so much he ordered one for himself. Craig 73 Here is a shot of the Drift in my overfull listening room.
  15. I just checked the page, it seems to be working properly. Looks like you re-arranged the page. I also see you added pics from my demo. I have to say, that speaker is flat impressive, and better with the ALK extreme slope. Who has the Drift now? Craig
  16. The DIY instructions on how to build the drift are on the website, just click on the big yellow drift sign. Or click here http://mysite.verizon.net/res12il11/id119.html Craig 73
  17. Here is the Fastlane Drift speaker. I heard this speaker last weekend and gotta say this thing rocks. It looks like a Heresy and performs like a Cornscala. http://mysite.verizon.net/res12il11/id116.html
  18. What? I thought your were sharing the plans for this speaker anyway.Heck with that, I say you post. Craig.
  19. Dave, are the tweeters you used on the Cornscala's the ones I saw on your site? And what is up with the new speaker? http://mysite.verizon.net/res12il11/id116.html Craig 73
  20. I no longer live in your area, but I can tell you , gothovers mid horn upgrade is an excellent upgrade. Here is an unused set, for cheap. http://community.klipsch.com/forums/t/150567.aspx Craig
  21. Do you have any pictures of the 2-3way switch installation, and which do you prefer overall. Craig
  22. Fritz, nice thread. The autoformer is an option, and like anything else pro and cons to be dealt with. Craig 73
  23. I dont recall any grit or grain, you must have done something wrong. Craig
