yea the grills were a big negative for me as well but i thought if they sounded better then i would give it a shot

has anyone heard any of the vf series speakers....i have the option to buy the vf-35s and the vc-35 center for 400 bucks total...which is 630 less than msrp...if anyone has heard these how do they compare to my current setup in my sig....i had orignally planed on getting some f2s or f3s but if these are better i would even save money that way

onkyo and klipsch work very well together....i used to run a onkyo 606 with f1s and it sounded great...i would get a sub if all possible...the f1s really have no bass so i would try to pick up a decent one for the low end

i am not positive about the amp yet cause i havent really watched a full movie yet but i watched about 20 mins and it was cool as can be.....the onkyo can get very hot and yes with the cooler it turns down the heat tremendously...it makes it seem very cool to the touch

i havent really had time to try out my new amp or new sub yet...i watched one scene from the dark knight last night and i was blown away...i am going to try to test out the new gear tomorrow and i will try and write a full review of both

i know this is dumb but i cant find a setting in the receiver to use the preouts....anyone know? im using an onkyo 805

i got my rotel in today and i want to make sure i am hooking it up properly before i start....do i leave my speakers plugged into my receiver and run rca's to the amp or do i run my speakers into the amp and run rca's out of amp into receiver?....thanks guys

the main difference is the fact that hdmi 1.3 can carry the new lossless audio formats ( dolby true hd, dts-hd ma), but if you didnt go with a receiver that has 1.3 you can get those formats by the analog outs on your blu-ray.....given the receivers listed i think the onkyo 706 would be nice for the setup...i love the synergy series and onkyo...the reason i would go with the 706 over the 606 is mainly beacuse it has pre-outs if u ever wanted to an external amp to your system

yea i plan on using the 805 for my pre/pro for now....who knows though i may look into their surround processors down the line lol

yea i find myself constantly buying new things to add to the system...i would like to go with the f-3s but i do not have room for them where they will be going...i barely have room for the f-2s...i am going to wait until my amp arrives and i am going to hear how it sounds before i swap them out
