  5. i have noticed alot of people are making their own speaker wire but my question is where does everyone get the shielding that goes on them...i have looked and cant find any....if anyone knows it would be much obliged.
  6. on klipsch's website it says the sub12 is 15" wide...does anyone know if that includes the feet that hang over or is it just the box? if anyone knows it would be much appreciated...thanks
  7. in testing out a couple differnt movies i realized i would like a tad bit more bass...my sub can push more but i was wondering if i should adjust the gain on the sub or the gain through the receiver? or does it make a difference which one i adjust?
  8. the f-1 will suit your room very nice....i have them in a small room as well and they found fantastic
  9. glad it sounds nice...with the low power rating did it make a big difference?
  10. i do have a question...when i go into the sttings it only gives me the option for 6ohms or 4ohms...no option for 8ohms....anyone know why?
  11. so i just hooked up my 805....i havent really got to mess with the settings yet except for the calibration and the distances....i only listened to a small clip from the hulk and i didnt notice a ton of difference from my old 606...i will try out some more demos tomorrow i just wanted to let everyone know its hooked up and going
  12. you have now inspired me to go get some zip ties and get organized...just out of curiosity how do you make custom power cords?
  13. the xbr4 is infamour for that anyways....pirates of the caribbean looks extremely fake....sony's new line with 120hz( w4100, z4100, and the xbr6) all look much better
  14. its just a little over 50 lbs but it seems twice as heavy as my last onkyo
  15. i have not hooked it up yet but i will let you know when i do....i am waiting on my banana clips to come in before i install it...i am replacing a onkyo 606
  16. onkyo 805, sorry guys guess i could have mentioned that
  17. i received my 805 by ups today and when he handed me the box i was in shock at how heavy this thing is, i havent hooked it up yet it seems to be a beast
  18. just to let you guys know i ordered my 805 today...i will be sure to let you all know what i think about the sound quality when i receive it
  19. i have never heard any of the older bose considering i am only 19 but i do have to give bose a little credit... they have some of the best demos on their theater setups, ex lifestyle 28 and v20....whatever they have done on those demos makes them sound a lot better than they are...people come in to work everyday and tell me how much they love bose until i take them to show them the difference...when i go show the acousitmass series(which are the same speakers as the v20 and lifestyle) on a regular movie they usually arent as excited...then i crank up the klipsch on the same movie and receiver and they are in shock at the difference...its such a good feeling for someone to realize all the hype isnt what its cracked up to be
  20. i talked to a pioneer rep today and she said i could still get the new codecs through my receiver if i decode it in the player and not the receiver...it sends out a pcm signal
  21. i think that pioneer looks like a powerhouse but i just dont know about the 1.2
