And while we uh, I mean me, are talking cars I've been considering selling my 2012 Buick LaCrosse Touring for a couple of years. I loved the car but I don't have an attachment to cars. They stamp them out every day. I figured I've lost $7000-$8000 over the past 2 years in depreciation. Anyway, the car was like the day it was delivered to me, a garage queen. 12,500 miles. Loaded. The other night while watching TV I decided to sell the Buick. I gloobed the top online sites to sell a car. Graggy list was there, all places. I placed an ad at 9.30PM. The next morning I had 6 people that wanted to see the car that day. Less than 12 hours. The first guy, a local retired guy, brought cash and 2 blank bill-of-sales that stated 'No Warranty Expressed or Implied'. He came to buy the car, and for his wife he did. The next day he called to say his wife loved it. Since I've now got a 2" inch stack of $100s in $2000 bundles I thought as I'm going thru this experience I should kick the devil in the nuttolas and buy the car. My wife had been prodding me to just go buy the car. So I did. Buick below. Unbelievably comfortable car. The picture doesn't really do the White Diamond Tri-Coat paint justice.

Here is what I wanted, in a way. This 2019 (same MSRP) would have cost around $7000 more. The subdued gray color I liked but the red reminded me of the late '60s early '70s cars (Chuck knows what I'm talking about) which is what I wanted, less the traffic citations. But it looks bad a$$. And my wife will have to deal with selling it, hopefully years and years from now. Look at the meat on these suckas. Keith

Nope. Around 72 sticker for a ZL1 1LE. This car is a 1SS 1LE. The 1LE option package is $7000. Track package. I figured I wouldn't be around long enough for the ZL1 investment, but who knows. This car is dangerous enough as it is. I told the salesman I'll be back to trade for a 2024. Keith

You could drive it better right now than I can. Haven't driven a stick in over 40 years. After killing it twice at a traffic light I finally figured out that the clutch locks up quickly. On the third try the rear moved sideways then blasted off. Later I punched it on a hill on the interstate and it went from 70 to 97 in a flash. This thing could be dangerous or just lots of fun. It's a 2018 $8549 off of MSRP (36). Keith

I think it's highly disrespectful and a grave disservice to post value of anything here that hasn't been visually inspected. Possibly killing the guys sell here by placing value sight unseen. I sold my 2012 Buick Lacrosse Touring yesterday. Six responses wanted to SEE the car in less than 12 hours. Listed it as GARAGE QUEEN,12,522 miles. Condition as delivered. Private Party sale $13,316. The first guy that saw it, drove it, pulled out cash and paid for it. Mileage added $2515. In your comments here in the past my car would have been an outlier and you would have dismissed it from your averages. I think you are doing a disservice to sellers by commenting here without request and without actually seeing the speakers listed and knowing condition personally. Should someone ask, great. I listed my 2012 Buick on Kragslists on the spur of the moment Thursday night (12,522 mi) at 9:35Pm. Saturday morning there were 6 people that wanted to see it Saturday. In 1974 I visited a big-box store that existed here when willey-mart was unheard of around these parts to buy a few dozen golf balls as the store was going out-of-business. I passed the firearm section after finding my balls and decided to buy a Winchester Model 94 Lever Action Rifle in 30-30 caliber. I would mention the price but you would drop your balls too. Anyway, the rifle was built before Winchester moved from, IIRC, New Haven, Connecticut and prior to the changes involving the safety mechanism and other changes. Winchester had a problem with the bluing process on the receiver during this time period and used examples of the rifle reflect this. My rifle is practically as new. Closet queen. Hasn't been shot in at least over 35 years. I have no need for the rifle. I could take it to a local dealer and sell it and another rifle from that era but I imagine it would bring little. I had much rather it go to someone who is interested in owning it. Any Winchester aficionados out there ? Keith

I don't remember the exact cost Marvel but I do remember that I paid around $400 after insurance. And I had really really good insurance then. And then there was some uncertainty as to whether or not I should have the shot. Oncologist spoke, everyone listened. Keith

Great Answers!! Got a chuckle out of those great answers and they seemed logical too. The key is a caboose key. I worded the question vaguely I now see. The key has a name. I'll post pictures below to illustrate. The key and lock pictured is a Sargent & Greenleaf Environmental High Security Padlock W/Key #102 which railroads use to secure switches and End of Train devices, among other uses. That is the identifier I was looking for. The brass colored key pictured is my key but I don't know the name of the key, other than what it is. Railroads stopped using cabooses in the mid 1980's. Cabooses, and most importantly to railroads the jobs, were replaced with EOT's (end of train devices). So shortly after that time frame I was at work getting ready to go when a young whippersnapper walked up to me and asked, pointing, 'is that a caboose key'. Yes, yes it is. He said that key is worth $300. I snapped the key off my waist and said 'give me $200 and make yourself some change'. Ran across the key the other day and decided to search to determine it's value. I was going to give it to a ten year old railroad buff kid but thought if there was value I might ought to give it to his mama rather than the kid. So there you go. Thanks for the responses. Keith

In November 2015, FDA licensed Fluad (Seqirus), a trivalent, MF59-adjuvanted inactivated influenza vaccine, for people age 65 years and older. Fluad is the first adjuvanted influenza vaccine marketed in the U.S. An adjuvant is a substance added to a vaccine to increase its immunogenicity. The MF59 adjuvant is based on squalene, an oil that occurs naturally in many plants and animals. Fluad has been used in Europe since 1997 and is approved in 38 other countries. In contrast to Fluzone High-Dose (Sanofi Pasteur), Fluad is a standard-dose vaccine, containing 15 mcg of hemagglutinin per virus per dose (total of 45 mcg). In a small observational study among adults age 65 years and older Fluad was about 63% more effective than unadjuvanted trivalent IIV. ACIP has not stated a preference for Fluad (or Fluzone HD) over standard dose IIV for people age 65 years and older. A study published in 2014 found that the injectable vaccine Fluzone High-Dose protects people 65 years and older better than standard-dose Fluzone. Does ACIP preferentially recommend use of Fluzone High-Dose for all people age 65 years and older? Aging decreases the body's ability to develop a good immune response after getting influenza vaccine, which places older people at greater risk of severe illness from influenza. A higher dose of antigen in the vaccine should give older people a better immune response and therefore provide better protection against influenza. I'll tell you how I think Jim. A gift or something that makes one smile or lifts their spirits is well worth the cost. A meal is soon forgotten but the clock just keeps on giving, every time you look at it. We are all born with a bag full of laughs. I give them out every where I go. Every radiated bald head needs a cover. I know well by now, for the third time, that the head gets cold in the winter and blistered in the summer. The first two times I used ball caps and toboggans. I don't like ball caps. I don't like toboggans. I was in a western store a few weeks ago and the wife asked if I wanted to try on a cowboy hat. She had asked previous visits and I laughed and we left. This time I tried one on. Bought one. Never thought it would keep my head that warm and dry. I still laugh every time I pick it up. I don't know why. A hat just isn't me I thought. Then I figured if it brings a smile to my face it will put a smile on others faces. Like eating peanuts. Like speakers/audio. You just can't stop. Next I bought a Stetson 4X. Nice. Then a Stetson 6X. Nicer. My laughs previously were not because of the hats rather because I just couldn't see myself in a cowboy had. Then I did. I like them. They work well with my previously thought of as mere footwear Lucchesse's. And I've always had good luck buying from sellers in Texas/Colorado area. Beginning to need a cane. Got to get a western theme cane next. ;>).
