  1. Yea, I realize my placement isn't perfect. I put the woofer in the closet so that when I have parties no one accidentally puts a dent in the cone with their foot. I have to keep on eye out so nobody sets a beer down on top of my KG 5.2s lol []. I'm kind of considering getting some glass cut and putting it on top of them to prevent damage. I got a steal on most of my equipment. For 400$ I picked up the adcom, sumo, KG 5.2s, and KG 3.5s...
  2. If you can find it the Klipsch Academy center channel matches well with heritage products. As for receivers, I tend to like most things in the pioneer elite line.
  3. It really shakes the house...I love it. I have always been a fan of Diamond Audio products. I built the box out of plain ole' 3/4'' MDF with some pretty heavy duty joints and bracing which was easy because my Grandfather has a top notch wood working shop... Its wrapped in vinyl imitation black ash veneer from PartsExpress and I must say that it worked out so well that it looks store bought... I also used a 4'' Aeroport kit from PartsExpress and tuned it down to 28hz. I plan to stuff the box with some polyfill in the future to lower the tuning a bit more. Overall, my cost was about 200$ for everything not including the amp but I don't think you could touch it's performance for twice that. I'm currently powering it with one channel of my SUMO andromeda at 200 Watts RMS. However, I think I will switch to my ADCOM bridged to mono at about 200 watts just to see what happens.
  4. Heres my home theatre as of right now. I just finished building the cabinet. I'm 20 years old and sophmore in college right now so I havent had time to hide the tv wires in the wall yet. Current center channel isn't klipsch []. It's an old Infinity my dad had sitting around. I plan on buying a klipsch one soon to match my other speakers.
  5. I found gripped at walmart today for $2.67 problem solved. Thanks guys. []
  6. Whenever I crank up my klipsch 5.2s the bass they produce causes them to move around on my tile floor [H]. Can anyone reccomend something to stop this from happening? I was thinking some different rubber feet instead of the hard plastic feet already on the speakers.
  7. What do you think about the driver I found on ebay? as opposed to say a Dayton driver from parts express? I do like elemental designs and have experience with their use in car audio.
  8. 150$ I have no problem building a box. So if you could reccommend me a driver for that price it would be appreciated.
  9. Hey guys I need some advice on a budget subwoofer for my 5.1 system in my living room. It's going to consist of KG 5.2s for the fronts KG 3.2s for surrounds I'm looking to buy a center channel and a subwoofer. I will power the subwoofer with an Adcom GFA-2535 bridged to 200 watts @ 8 ohms. I realize this is a klipsch forum but I was thinking about buying a 12 inch Miller and Kreisel driver off of ebay (90$) and building a subwoofer ( I have experience in buidling cabinetry and access to an extensive woodshop)... Any thoughts? maybe open me up to some more options? I check craigslist in the dallas area for a used klipsch subwoofer but they are always kinda pricey.
  10. Hello all. This is my first post. Here's my two channel set up in my bedroom. I'm only 20yrs old and in college btw so I haven't had time to amass truly epic audio stuff yet lol.
