  1. I just received one last night and will try to set it up today. The owners manual looked a little confusing I thought it was supposed to be a plug it in and let it run kind of device. How satisfied are you with it?
  2. Any one with first hand eperience with this unit.
  3. I have two choices for my surrounds 1 foot in front of me and three feet to the side from my seating position or about six feet behind me?
  4. I agree, sometimes the new toy factor clouds our judgement as to what if any change it makes in quality of sound, but the safety and piece of mind alone are worth it.
  5. It seems like a really nice quality unit. I am pleased with it.
  6. THIS IS TYPICAL SHIPPING DAMAGE TO THESE DO TO THE PACKAGING FOAM PUTTING PRESSURE ON THE GRILL CAUSING IT TO CHIP THE EDGES WHERE IT TOUCHES THE SPEAKER. KLIPSCH IS AWARE OF THIS. THE GRILLS TEND TO CRACK ALSO. IF YOUR NOT HAPPY WITH THERE OFFER MAKE THEM REPLACE IT.
  7. I believe you are spot on. The channels the yamaha powered were silent and the channels the ma's powered out of the processor had the hiss.
  8. Would I benefit from another RF-7II for a center in place of the RC64II. I now have a yamaha RX-Z11 with RF-7II'S for front and surrounds an RC-64II for a center KSP-S6's for rear (7.1) and KSP-S6's for front fill. Would it be worht my time to add an external power amp or amps to the 4 RF'S and the center and would I get the hiss? Also Do you ever get hiss when you hookup external amps, the reason I ask is I have a yamaha dsp-a1 that I hooked up an external decoder using the back two surounds to add a rear speaker and had to use 3 ma-500's to drive them and I would get the dreaded hiss sound.

  10. Did you swap the speakers on the receiver (left & right channel).
  11. I thank you for the help I see where I can use a digital out zone coaxial to reproduce digital signal inputs but no mention of hdmi not sure why. I want to use both fronts together at times for audio and I would like to at some point add external amps to give them a little headroom and have the ability to adjust the levels seperately while still controling them from the yamaha. But I want to keep it clean. I was also hoping to be able to adjust the speaker levels with the yamaha and was wondering if changing the b speakers to zone 2 would allow me to do that.
  12. I would usually agree for I have never had 2 pair compliment each other but they both seem to fill in where the other lacks without stepping on each other. I only run both when playing back audio and use just my 7's when in surround mode.Maybe I need to build some cornscalas so I could be happy with one pair to fill my audio expections (although I have not heard them). Also because of the efficiency of the cornwalls they are about 8 db louder than the RF's
  13. My current setup is a yamaha rx-z11 with a pair of rf-7II and cornwall II speakers as my fornt main (a- and I was wondering if there is a way to run an external amp form my yamaha to power all four as fronts and be able to adjust the levels seperately. I also have a rc-64II center 6 ksp-s6 surrounds and an svs pb13-ulta.
  14. The cherry looks better in the pictures with the grill off but I think the black with the copper in person look better,
  15. I have a brand new pair of a stock in black that I took out of the box and set up only to replace with another set in cherry at the request of my wife ( I prefer the black) I am asking 2000.00, where are you located?
  16. I understand the timbre difference, but I was hoping to fill what sounded like a gap down below with what the klf's were doing on there own, which was an overly bassy response. so far it's not working as hoped, but I need to fiddle with it more. adding a Sub would make things a bit easier for me... maybe listen to music on channel A and listen to movies on channel B That is what I have done also I have two pair of fronts a and b, I run a RF-7II 7.1 system for my movies and have my cornwalls used for music and I also play music with both my RF-7II'S & Cornwalls on at the same time I definately dont have issue with the base but a sub helps fill in the lower end with some of the newer stuff.
  17. Good morning, I am selling a black pair of RF-7II speakers that I recently purchased new ( I bought another pair in cherry do to a request from my wife to better match our living room, prefer the black though) anyway paid 2800.00 asking 2000.00 and I live in upstate new york. They are excellent speakers. Thanks Scott F. Lamitie
  18. This is my concern will I be spending money without a noticable difference, also would I be better of with just a 3 channel for the fronts or should I just get the seven. I had a DSP-A1 with marantz mono blocks for the surrounds and there was noticable hiss when no music was playing, dont want that again.
  19. Would there be a noticable difference in sound form what I here with my current set-up.
  20. Well how bout some feed back between A B&K Reference 200.7 and a Sunfire signature grand cinema. Using my Yamaha RX Z-11 for a pre-amp for now powering my RF-7II's and RC-64II and my ksp-s6's.
  21. What would I expect to gain with the B&K
  22. Good afternoon, Just a question if you dont mind. First My gear I have a yamaha rx-z11 powering RF-7II mains RC-64II center SVS PB-13 ULTRA and 6 KSP-S6 surounds I use a Denon 3800BDCI for my music and movie via a HDMI hookup. I sold my chorus II speakers when I bought the rf-7's and I wish I would not for I felt the chorus were much fuller and richer sounding especially in the vocal's. My knowledge is limited and I am trying to get better educated, so here are my questions and any advice would be appreciated. Is my amp a good amp for Klipsch, Am I ever going to be satisfied with the RF-7'S (my original thought in buying them was so my surround would be better matched) OR should I go back to a cornscalla or klipschorn design. Nothing worse than spending money to upgrade and feel like you went backwords.
