  1. Ok Guys When I get back in tonight I will take out the terminal cup and have a look
  2. The tweeter and mid horn has also been upgraded The only thing I miss is the Mahogany finish. Sadly for some odd reason it has been discontinued I have allways believed that it was the nicest looking on the Heresy.
  3. Update see photos of x-overs on page #2 Just received my demo pair or cherry Heresy III's and set them up in a 2-channel rig Popped in some Patricia Barber Cafe Blue, All I can say is WoW!! These new Heresy III's with the new Mid and Tweeter sound absolutely amazing they are substantially better than the older Heresy and those were pretty good. These new Heresy's are little pricey but IMOHO they are more than worth the extra cost. I plan on setting up a complete Heresy III 5.1 system for HT and Multi-Channel Audio applications. If you get a chance give these a demo you will be shocked and delighted Happy Holidays

    CES

Hi Chances are slim that you are going to get a good deal in Vegas this week This will be my 12th CES and I go to Vegas at least every other month You may have better luck in State Line or Jean 1/2 hour West of Vegas and rent a car BTW the best Buffet is at Texas Station Its less than 1/2 the $$ of the RIO and is much better Its where all the Locals go Another thing to watch that is very important is the pick pocket crowd and con men that works the conventions put you valuables in a safe and your wallet in your front pocket and keep a tight hold on your soft brief cases making sure they are not open when you walk Cheers Ray

  7. Hi Get the RC-25 or RC-35 for your RB-25 fronts they are the correct center to match the RXV series are very good but do sound different
  8. And $400 for an RC-7 is below dealer cost to begin with you got a very good deal for a new RC-7 out the door mabie the dealers out to start buying them form where you got your's instead of direct from Klipsch
  9. Yikes!! If you are going to do something like that you must have pretty understanding better half's Why not do a pair of KPT-1201's surface mounted with SB-6 bracket and be done with it
  10. Hi I just heard that the new inwalls should be available next week I have not heard them but my very reliable source tells me that you should wait for the 5800 there were several changes including new mounting hardware
  11. The side surrounds are 9.2 ft from the sweet spot to each speaker This height also allowed me to get the EX speaker close to the same height as the sides I lost no sense of height this way and expanded the rear sound field it also provided better and more pronounced hard pan's from front to back and rear side to side placing the EX and surrounds at an exaggerated height yielded a more diffuse rear surround with the side surrounds already being wide dispersion I found that placing them at a lowered level helped with definition It also sounded much better with multi-channel DVD-A and SACD
  12. Hi JB Nice to see that you received the system the other truly amazing thing about the system is how seamless the transitions are between speakers There sonic signature's are almost identical I have experimented with various heights for the surrounds (side) and found that 16"-30" above the seated listening position and 6-8" behind measured from the center of the baffle yielded the best results placing them in the "null" as you would typical THX Di-Poles did not sound as good Happy Listening
  13. Hi Being an Infocus Screen Play dealer I can tell you that the $1399 price listed above from AVS is just slightly above dealer cost for new "A" stock 4805's These projectors have small margins to begin with.

  15. JL Audio is a solid company has been for many years a few years back I used (3) 15 W-6's in a I/B configuration in a csutom HT the thing would flap your pant legs and rattle the teeth out of your head I used (2) QSC USA 1300's to power them

  19. (QUOTE) The RF-7 would be better than the Ultra II system if one was to use all RF-7's-RF-7's front and back- a pair of RF-7's for the front and back center channels-this is a seamless as you can get with better dynamics to also --------------------------------------------------------- Sorry For movie soundtracks I have to disagree The THX Ultra II monitors have different dispersion characteristics and in average home sized rooms this is a huge advantage I have had 5 RF-7's set up in my showroom and it sounded great But Foley effects and hard pans simply sound better on the Ultra II system when set up properly Please keep in mind I am talking movie sound tracks not music Funny you should mention KI-362's I am currently installing a pair of 362's and KPT-100's
  20. Hi I had it connected to a QSC USA 1200 (1200 watt amp) and the KA 1000 (1000 watt amp) the new THX Ultra subs are several clases above the old KSW 15 subwoofers as noted above I am willing to sell the fully loaded VMPS for $425 It does play Low and Loud
  21. It would be a hard choice I would choose the KW120's They have better pitch and definition sound tighter and will play to mind bending levels The RSW 15 sounds a little boomy in comparison They are one of the few subs that I have had that pass the Haunting DVD torture test without distorting or loosing there composure They don't look as pretty as the RSW 15 Don't get me wrong the RSW series subwoofers are very good and we are picking the edges of performance when comparing the two Go listen to a pair that are properly set up with all formats Music and Movie soundtracks and let me know your opinion I know for a fact that you have a connect to do that
  22. Hi I have a New VMPS Larger Sub with Mega Woofer and Sound coat option sitting here in my showroom The new Klipsch KW 120 Subwoofers out perfrom it in everyway If any body wants the VMPS its yours for $425 List was $975 with all the options (must pick up about 140lbs) It is Piano Black with Mega Woofers option and Sound Coat option + it has the optional 80Hz crossover currently bypassed has about 15 hours time on it but I am telling you right now the Klipsch is a better subwoofer
  23. EAR How can you say you have too many Subs when you dont even have the new KW120 and matching KA1000 amp? Shame on you

Personally I feel real comfortable with the RB-10s
  25. Hi KPT-100's work very well in this type of install Its a lot less work to install them because you can surface mount them and they sound reasonably close to the Heresy Just a thought
