    Heresy for HT

Thanks for the replies. I currently have just a CS-700 which I like. We're currently making plans to build a house in few years. Even though it is a few years away, I'm already thinking about the HT / music system I want to put in. I like the idea of an American made system, which I believe leaves me with the choice of either a Heritage set up or the RF-7II. Of course, who knows what will be available in 3-5 years when I'm ready to buy - hopefully, there will still be a few American made choices! If one were to use a Heresy as a center speaker, could it be laid on its side or does it have to be upright? Jon
  2. With the homepage emphasis on the Heresy and the proud to be made in Hope banner, I've been increasingly intrigued by the Heresy speakers. However, their use seems to be largely focused on 2 channel use. Any chance Klipsch will come out with a matching center channel for the Heresy? I think that would be pretty cool. Jon
  3. Yes, I'm doing this right now with the aux2 inputs. I've got the Wii connected through the stereo connectors and the Xbox 360 connected with optical. It works, but when I switch to the xbox, I need to turn off the unit and turn it back on to get it to recognize the optical input. After that it works fine. Jon
  4. I have had the issue a couple times where the unit won't shut off. I've found that if you unplug it and then plug it back in, it will work properly. Jon
  5. More mid priced than cheap, but Shiner Bock is my favorite beer at any price.
  6. There is a newer version that is compatible with the iPhone 3G and 3Gs, but you have the older model. I would exchange for the current model.
  7. I was at Best Buy yesterday and in the spot where they used to have the CS-700 and Roomgroove, they now had a display for the Sony version of Klipschcast called S-Air. I was bummed to see that while Klipsch had gotten out of that segment, Sony had gotten into it in a big way - they had several versions of audio equipment that connected wirelessly. I'm sure the Sony stuff doesn't sound anywhere near as good as the Klipsch, though. Jon
  8. I'm in the same boat. I have a CS-700 and one Roomgroove. I need 2 or 3 more. You can find them pretty regularly on Ebay. I plan to get the rest of my Roomgrooves this way. I'm disappointed they discontinued them, but I really like my CS-700, so I'm still happy.
  9. This would be an interesting option - similar to a CS-700 without the DVD player. I've never heard a IFI, but it appears to be the same concept as a CS-700 (satellites and subwoofer), but it looks like the satellite speakers may be of higher quality on the IFI. The CS-700 sounds great as a home theater, so I would think the IFI would sound great as well.
  10. Are you referring to the CS-700 or CS-500? If so, it won't show the menu while in TV mode, it has to be in disk mode.
  11. I agree the lag would be bothersome and not sure what to recommend - you may want to contact customer service for suggestions. As far as the sub humming, I have read about that issue in past posts, but its never happened to me. It sounds like some radio interference. You may want to try changing your home number from 0 to something else and see if it goes away. I've been happy with mine with the only problem being having to use multiple remotes, which I solved with a Harmony remote. Jon
  12. Glad you're enjoying it. I have a green egg and love it. You should check out www.nakedwhiz.com for some great recipes and techniques. I use the Trex method to cook steaks and it is awesome. The Mad max method of cooking turkeys is great too. Also, you may want to check out a temperature controller like the BBQ Guru. I use it to cook bridkets and Boston butts ovrnight and it us very handy. Jon
  13. The Big Green Egg is made in Georgia. It may have Japanese roots, but it is American and does BBQ like that Brinkmann can only dream about. You can cook a brisket at a steady 225 deg dome temperature for 24 hours and end up with some of the best brisket you'll ever eat. Jon
  14. I have a Big Green Egg and love it. It does steaks as good as any I've had (look up TRex method on Naked Whiz site). It also does awesome briskets and everything in between. I can't say enough good things about it. Jon
  15. Were you able to resolve the sync issue? I haven't experienced this problem with mine. Jon
