  1. I'll get a test drive at the show so we shall see. I heard a Prime last year and loved it. Hope you guys can come hear my Amps and Chapman speakers. We are in 1311.

  3. Dave should know. He set the arm up for me ;-). The Prime is being used at the THE Show new port next weekend... The 3d arm excites me.... And then maybe a flywheel upgrade.
  4. Thinking of selling my 2yo VPI Classic. I'm moving up the food chain to a Prime and as such don't need another table. The Classic is going for 2800 new. Willing to sell for 1900. It will include a counter intuitive. For $300 more ill include my ginkgo cover and the Grado Low output moving iron. Willing to ship for actual shipping costs or can come get it. I'm in the Irvine area new Los Angeles. Justin. 323-868-9722
  5. I built to see how good the K55 could sound. It's an amazing driver. Dave's horns both eliptrac tweeter and tratrix wood horn make the magic. ALK made a custom Cornscalawal to allow the D250x to be used too. Others heavy lifting makes building these monsters possible. I'm glad their in a home with someone who will live for a long time. Scott is a Klipsch fan to the core. Just ask him how many great speakers he owns ;-).
  6. Schiit audio Mani Phone pre. Works flawlessly but have new pre which phono stage. Well regarded and quite. Has variable loading and gain for easy cart matching. $75 plus 5 for shipping. Justin 323-868-9723
  7. My AGKs are about all the comfort I need. I love that you're still enjoying the amp. I'll post pics tonight of the MKII. I gave it a facelift for the newport show.
  8. The cornscalawal was what I used in my last build. It's great but I like higher order networks for the bass. My real decision was to try the ES500 network Andy couldn't bring myself to it. Regarding human behavior. I think the idea that we go with known choices is very true.
  9. I think I'm going to notch it to have the horn key in pay controlling its movement and supporting its weight. I should have pics by Sunday of what we work out.
  10. I've had the MMF and think it better than the pro-ject debut. I bought a debut and was really unimpressed. I returned and got the new pioneer Dj table plx1000 and love it. ~600. I like the idea of buying new for a table and would strongly suggest. I didnt like the debut but auditioned the carbon and thought it was awesome. They make a carbon with speed control and a acrylic player for 600 that's a really value too.
  11. Getting the details right seems a bigger deal this time... prob because I don't intend on coming back to a pair of cornscalas after this one... Im done :-). With Dave's help we are packing a whole lot of speaker in a pretty small package. (I went to Lowes 4 times before getting the right fasteners to bolt the HF driver to the Eliptrac tweeter. The B&C DE750 was much easier... but now Im trying over engineer the brace... have it support the horn but lock the horn into place so that the screws art event really needed. It will be 4 weeks before my crossovers are ready so I sort of have time to ruminate on the details. I actually redid my 3 racks today. The MA2275 went downstairs as its wife friendly... my Pre and mono blocks went into daily duty and the guest room got the old emotiva XDA-2 as the pre and my 2nd set of monos for power. All this bending over has me wiped. (The Downstairs is back up and running but it will be a week before I have the other 2 rooms done). Way too much cable for any one person.
  12. Already done :-). The Shelf is an integreated support. The Mid horn will have 2 braced and its top and bottom. So should be pretty stout.
  13. Looks like some changes to his offerings. I used the cast frame. You might call him and seen what he offers. I have dreams of trying the 15" in a sealed cab the size of a cornwall.
  14. Do you still have your yields? There are a smaller scale version but same sound Bruce.
  15. The room there in is 12x12. But I'd consider anything smaller than 20x20. It's good good balance. I find the yields a true reference but they are much larger. These are like an apitiser to a true reference. If you've heard full range speakers but wanted real bass. This is a hot ticket. I would consider these voiced on the analytic side with the bass, which is a product of the crossover as much as anything else. A 1st order would be simpler and fuller sounding but would scarfice imaging.
