I had the same issue with cabling on BO. I ordered from China on the bay and was surprised it was here in three weeks

Hello Rich, hope you are doing well.

I might need to do that if they don't ship by the end of the month from PE.  I have a set of 500watt B/O Mauro Audio and have power cables.  Might switch them out just to make sure the 1000ASP amps work.  I'll be quite annoyed after waiting so long and the amps are messed up.

Tempted to try one of the amps from China since I have a little set of B&W 606s in my office on a shelf and that will be a good little amp.  Right now running one of the Ti2020-020 amps from Amazon which actually sounds pretty darn good with them.

Now you know why I started the thread. I bought a 50 watt/ch. Ice amplifier and a housing kit. Had to order 2 sets of cables since they were incomplete. Cables for that is the issue and even now, the connector is missing from one of the AC inputs. Stupid crap....................on the other hand, the 2 Hypex mono bloc kits I ordered from the Netherlands came fast, complete, and were the easiest builds EVER, with no soldering. I did both in 1.4 hours flat!

Thanks... Good to know about the Hypex.  I've been paranoid about ordering the the NCore modules but they have me wondering.

So those of us lucky enough to have purchased the prior generation of these excellent modules at 1/2 off the old list price of $150 direct from ($75 plus shipping) and using MeanWell 48 Volt Power supplies with them, have had a real bargain on our hands, since they have, what looks to be just a change in part number to justify the MUCH HIGHER PRICE!

I also got some steel cabinets to house mine, so I'd better get going on finishing these off for my basement system this winter! With a 100 db/Watt Tapped Horn "OThorn" sub and some Peavey/JBL/K402/DaveA LMAHL tweeters, this will be a killer "basement system" in my workout room in the basement. Big bang for buck indeed!

    $478?  Where's the $75 or even the $150?

Ended up picking up two 1000ASP ice amps at $249 each from PE.  Wish they could come up with their cabling.  It's been on BO.

@Youthman or anyone that can give me the advice. If you are using the rf7iii speakers to listen to music, and for the scenario of home theater,  do you use a power amp. If so do you use it all the time or just sometimes. I found it doesn’t really make much of a difference but some. Mine is the a31 parasound, whats your power amp. And what results have you found the power amp has brought to tour system? For me it seems to be more crystal clear almost and most definitely louder and I need to do more demos without it but would say stronger bass with the power amp. Also do you guys like the sound of it coming from your power amp more or simply coming from the avr or tube amp or what ever it is you use to drive the speakers?

What you are finding is the law of diminishing returns.  That last 15% takes a lot more.  The other thing is the matching.  If you are just using an AVR to drive the power amp, you might be surprised what a very good source component with good material could provide.

The klf-30s already had two braces side to side, I had added two more braces from the motor board to the back pail in the same location.

Maybe some loose polfill put behind the upper woofer, the lower cross brace will keep it from falling down into the bottom blocking the ports. The space between the two cross braces would occupy about one cubic foot factoring in the space the woofer takes up. And then there is the rest of the upper cabinet to consider, it would be a bit over another cubic foot. This is where we are looking for some feedback from fellow members that might be able to help us.

Bracing if used judiciously (not eating up hardly any volume) is good.  Adding much polyfill behind the woofers, not so good.  May have gained a drop of extension with the counter effect of punch disappeared.  The best thing for the woofers if you want punch and a little more extension is a bigger cabinet.  No replacement for displacement as the old saying goes.

Not all especially special needs kids. Some will regress and have already.

NY was another world.  Someone needs to push why there are 32+k deaths vs  8K (so far) for FL and TX combined.  This keeps getting swept under the rug.

Really?  Is that what you think the point is?  Transparency is not their strong suit.

Interesting, there is no evidence to ignore either, and russians might be glad to hear about there is no putin.  But of course there is gates and fauci, despite the lack of evidence for any "conspiracy."  I heard about it on facebook so it must be true, and it spread to the biggest idiots in the land.  That pesky 1st amendment rears its ugly head, if only it could just go away we would be so much better led, I mean informed.

Can't go away unless you can verify... Can't trust a sing source at this point.  As they say, one lies and the other swear to it.

I’m not sure about why you have reservations. This particular report seems fairly straightforward. A large group of asymptomatic people were tested for covid19 and 31% tested positive. This reflects the number of people who are infected and showing no symptoms of the disease and who may be infectious. It provides clear rationale for masking, whether you think you’re infected or not.

Having a complete data base for covid19 would be very helpful in showing factually how serious, or not, the disease can be. If we’re not seeing such a high number of occult cases then our statistics are seriously skewed. And, as you note, the long term health consequences of these infections could become a huge burden in time. I’d say that this data does reflect Florida’s incidence of covid19 and it may indicate how pervasive covid19 is everywhere.

Because of all the messed up tracking of numbers in FL.  Percentages are seriously skewed.

How does this square with Florida's total mess up with numbers and percentages?  I won't believe squat about anything in FL til they fix their system.

BTW, I'm not referring to the possible long term issues but the numbers/percentages are very questionable.

On the bright side, we always get another chance.  This time I recommend voting against Putin.

There is no Putin, just a smoke screen that too many that pay attention to the idiots on Media believe..  It is 100% collaboration.  They all should go so we can see the light of day from COVID otherwise we'll pay a much bigger price from this pandemic than we have already done.

EDIT: was showing my age, said TV vs Media

    Pzannucci,

Thanks for the advice.  I'll try stereo and work my way back.  If I hadn't heard them earlier that day with my same amp and that NAD 1155 Preamp, I'd have thought the RF 7ii's and sub were what I am used to.  With the same amp I run and that NAD 1155 it rocked and the sub kicked hard.  It was amazing.  Just trying to replicate the same results.  I'm thinking it's time to move on from an A/V receiver and go to a Processor.

    Smart move.

I was also wondering if anyone has ever elevated these speakers off the floor using 1/2" anti-vibration pads. My concern is moisture permeating through a concrete floor even though sealed or a small water problem.  Thinking of Florida where all homes are slabs. Thanks again.

If you have that much of a water problem in FL and expect it to bother the speakers, then the house would be filled with mold.  A large number of homes in the US don't have basements and are built on slabs.  Don't fret it though a 1/2 inch would not bother them

  15. Start simple, get just stereo running without all the other stuff through the Chorus's.  Large, then work backward from there.  Make sure all the eq is out of the way and running bypassing the electronics.  Then try to add the rest of the stuff.

If you can't get them sounding good, sounds like the 2030 settings are at issue of positioning (due to the rear passives).

Another possibility, they do not have the extension of the RF7's and with the RF's and sub combined, perhaps you are too used to the old sound which may be bloated on the bottom end.  The Chorus kick but are more balanced than what many people are used to when adding a sub into the mix.  Just some thoughts.

They get and share their medical information from Facebook. To them common sense is that it's the flu and it will go away in the summer, AND common sense demands I not wear a mask because it's in the Constitution.

We need a good study, poll, on numbers who are wearing a mask, not wearing one in public, with demographic breakdown on each group.

Some states have a very strong mask culture, you are shunned if you are in public without a mask..Others the opposite. Do some states have more common sense than others?

Someone should do a poll on here, do you wear a mask when in public? I'm guessing a majority don't, also guessing a majority believe there is no need to.

Well in Walmart the other day, everyone was actually wearing them but it was early in the morning so it may have been the crowd that doesn't want to be exposed.  I was quite surprised actually.... well maybe one person dragging their kid through wasn't.  At least higher than 90%.
