  1. that looks to be a off the shelf adapter with short tube into a 4 bolt hole flange/mounting plate that he whacked over hanging sections off .seem that just a 3/8 thick material that is threaded to the driver size so the opening of the driver meets the start of the horn is needed IE; how ever deep the threads are on the driver's neck then that would be how thick the material would need to be ,if you catch my drift .
  2. sorry about the huge pix those are direct links ( I don't know how to undo those now ;( ) the smaller pix I saved to my PC & up loaded
  3. Yeah , I thought you'd be interested that's why I started this over here as not many cruise the alerts sections that cruise this section here's the Fleabay link ..... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130961313550
  4. here's my question to him & his response ; Dear kindred_images_and_creations, can you provide some testing info on how the response is . they look nice ,but looking nice & sounding nice are two different things . his answer ; We did test them in a friends studio a couple years ago when I made the first pair and they had enough of a range to replace the k77. But didn't think I would market them and didn't print it off. To be honest I have all kinds of speakers with a flat response but I always end up listen to my la scalas and we both know they don't look very good on paper lol. What these tweeters do you won't see on paper, you have to hear them, everyone I talk to says the same thing, they are less harsh, and sound silky smooth in comparison to the k77. Some even say improved imaging but I don't hear it. I'll give you two weeks with these bad boys if you don't like send them back in the same condition I'll refund your money. I don't want you to be disappointed with these, I'm not marketing them for a career if I was if still them for a lot more money. I'm marketing them because I love the way they sound and want others to enjoy as well. I will work on a new graph soon. Thanks Jesse Lowell - kindred_images_and_creations and my concerns .... myself I running 2 ways at the moment & have no way to try these out I'm interested but I have to hear back from someone on the forum who would have these in hand & try them I am thinking of having my speakers as a 2 way & 3 way thru a switch that ALK has as a option for his system on his networks that is down the road some for me as I'd have to get the tweeter part of his networks to even try these they would match my Eliptrac-400 but looks are not a prime importance to me . What I do find concerning is his mounting & the apprent tube before the horn actually starts . any way will see how he responds they are interesting to say the least I wonder if he would just sell the horn minus the driver ?
  5. http://community.klipsch.com/forums/p/175872/2051354.aspx#2051354 this showed up up in the alerts section & I thought it would better discussed here http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130961313550

  8. unless he posts some testing &/or plots it's a crap shoot to the 1st buyers Maybe someone could explain that to him & he agrees to offer up a samples to be tested . If they test well they will sell to members here , they do look nice BUt as stated above looking nice dosn't mean they sound nice & sound comes 1st edit ; I sent a fleabay message to him asking about if he has any testing info
  9. ntcrusher that's gonna be a kick-butt Home Theater when your done !
  10. I know alot of people who got units for accessories4less all are very happy with them .
  11. LaScala bass bin with a 402/TAD on top or off to the side of the woof basically you need the same horn in the center any bass bin would work , a CornScala DDB bass bin as well
  12. I can hear it now some newbie is on the Phone to Klipsch support wanting to buy those surround speakers
  13. Parasound Halo http://www.parasound.com/halo/a51.php I got Emo & I am happy But I have CornScala's & they be a easy push
  14. those are beautiful . I love the shape I wish my work was any where near as good as that !
  15. that was my take on what Ed had said , I just was not about to put out that amount of $$$ on 2 subs I never heard before .I had got one NSD to try out at 1st anyway Rule of thumb of mine ; I take what a salesman says with a grain of salt at any time . I'm actually glad I got what I got , due to the next subs I get are gonna be a folded horns that will be hidden in a wall This way i'm not into the 2 NSD's for as much $$$$ as I woud be with 2 Ultra's . As I always knew I would upgrade anyway & I'd much rather not jump in deep water on my 1st swim . I NOW know that a folded horn subwoofer is my direction ,where before I didn't know about what they offer
  16. thats funny cause Ed told me the exact opposite. Ed said that was the case for my room after seeing my room diagram Ed was referring to the use of dual subs over a single is why he said that . I told him I couldn't at the time afford 2 ultras & was gonna only get one ultra . Best case he said was 2 ultras but if I was only getting one the response would be better buying 2 of the NSD's . I trusted what he said . i'm pretty happy with what I got now
  17. I was gonna get a single SVS ultra but I emailed Ed of SVS & he suggested that the 2 PC12-NSD would actually work better than just a single Ultra for about the same $$ you can send a diagram of your room to them & they can suggest best placement they did for me look at the Emotiva XPA-5 as a amp
  18. That would make for a Killer HT set-up having evenly matched speakers all around makes for a stunning effect look at SVS for subs the PB12-NSD or the PC12-NSD work great I have dual PC12-NSD the cylinders are great as they are down firing & have a small foot print making placement way easy anywhere in the room , Duals work better as they smooth out things my room is 24 x 22 & the dual SVS pressurize the room quite well (they have popped sheet rock nails ) the room also opens into a dining room as well I run 5 CornScala ( 2 ways ) custom center CornScala 4 Cornwall conversions & 4 CS-1.5 clones heights/wides
  19. I love the way you did your rack . gives me some ideas are the units supported just by rods ? running across to the other thick boards ? makes for a cool rack pun intended
  20. Yeah That's a Very Classy Look .I really like it . Hey what tweeter is that ? are you running actives ?
  21. just myself with that power amp there is reason to set the cross at that high , I'd set them just above the roll-off point of the speaker 30 for the 7's 60 for the RC64 I'm not a expert in any way here , but I am a firm believer that using the woofers in any speaker to their fullest extent is best . In a HT I like to have that bass coming at me from all directions instead of just from my subwoofer . the point of having a power amp is that you can use the all the bass from your speakers & not have to cut them off well before where they roll-off setting @ 80 or higher & passing off that to the subwoofer is a rule that I myself don't agree on
