  1. Valid point. So I guess I will only listen to this album in my truck, or when I am not sitting in front of the LaScallas [:|]
  2. I purchased Red Hot Chili Peppers new CD since a friend said I gota get it. I think the album is good so far, but when I got home and played it on my system, wow it SUCKED!!! DISTORTION, couldnt believe it! I wanted to turn it down!! I guess when I am drunk it will sound good [:S] Anyone else have the new CD, "Im with you" and think it sounds aweful?
  3. The biggest problem I have is when they are dirty. My Dobie stands tall, and his head hits the headliner. I can live with the dirt and hair on the door panels (its not easy) but to clean a headliner, again and again sucks. Maybe I will just buy a cage for them in the back seat, and cover the top and side parts up with a blanket?
  4. Wow dude thats cool! but 6 agm truck batteries, and the unit weights almost 200lbs! I cant imagine that this thing would sell for under $2000! Thats a little more then I want to spend.
  5. Well I hate to say it but you might be better off with just more ventilation for trips when your not stopping at a store. The only reason I say this is if you were to get one of those AC type deals and you were inside a store even for 30 minutes and it quit working for any reason the dogs probably wouldn't last very long at all closed up in the summer heat. It would get pretty rough for them in a hurry, you know in the summer down here with the windows up and no ac it can get to 110*+ in about 10 min. Even if I were to somehow mount a fan for more ventilation when stopped, that could still quit. The units I have been looking at seem very stout, they are used on small airplanes for taxi and take off. http://www.swampy.net/m300.html#anchor60733 Other then taking out the back cap window and somehow installing a fan with a piece of wood, redneck engineered, I dont think I could increase the airflow at park.
  6. Well then I think you found your answer. [Y]
  7. If you are refering to the sale of your sub, I think you are asking a little too much. I saw the video and I would say that your sub is in average to good condition. I recently purchased mine for $525, with no visable blemishes or marks, but it was missing the grill that is not available from Klipsch anymore.
  8. These are great out west where the air is dry. Here the air is already 70% humidity.
  9. Well the cap is fiberglass with carpeted insulation, and the bed is sprayed with rhino, not gona beat that. It would be for trips when I am in the store, or when I am driving to and from a location where they get in and are very muddy! Even when moving, its too hot. It was over 100 degrees last week, with the humdity [&].
  10. OK so as the subject states, I am trying to keep the bed of my truck, which has a cap on it, cool. I love to bring my dogs with me, and I love to keep my interior clean, hence my problem. I have a leer cap, and all deep tinted windows. When its cool out, I can get by with the front window out and the side glass open. But here in sunny fl, the summers are wayyy to hot to do this to my dogs. Anyone have any ideas as far as portable coolers? I have seen a few, and like this idea, but damn pricey http://www.arcticaircooler.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=33&category_id=6&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=78 I also saw this idea, wow looks very cheap. Guess I could buy it and see how it works? http://www.kooleraire.com/index.htm So anyone have any ideas???!!!!
  11. Cool! I don't buy it pre-made, I actually do it all myself here at the house. There are books you can find on it.
  12. I feed my dogs RAW food only now, best thing I ever did. Expensive, but to me its better then paying for cheap dry dog food ( I call fast food dog food) and having all those problems. Before I fed my dogs raw food, we were paying the vet bucko bucks for blood test for allergies, and then more for shots we admin at home once a day to help him get over the allergies. Found out about raw food and man what a difference it made! Lets just say we stopped giving him allergy meds and those damn shots [Y] BTW I wouldnt ask a vet for their advice (I did and mine said dont do it, its hell), they are trained kinda like how doctors are on their views of chiropractors [N]
  13. I must say I do love my RSW-15! So much that I wouldnt mind another one!
  14. I used to have the Sub-12 and was happy with it. It was good at low volumes, but when pushed hard it would bottom out.
  15. Thats perfect advice! I would only go the RW-12D if you didnt have a Sub-12. But seeing that the Sub-12 is no longer for sale, get the RW-12D and do a comparison! Im sure you will be able to resell either one!
  16. I think I'm lost? Are we still looking for a sub for your daughter? If so I would go for the sw 112. I have owned a sub 12 and it was really nice. As far as the other subs, I don't have any personal experience with those.
  17. You should of set her up with that xw sub! BTW, is it hooked up yet?
  18. I think what I would do is just use the pre outs and split them. Meaning both the left and right pre outs from the mac get a y splitter, one end goes back to the MA6500, then the other leg to the amps inputs. From there to set the sub volume, use the gain controls and ur all set! I would never use an amplified signal to power a sub, just never sounds right and you lose alot of signal.
  19. I know what you mean by replacing, never will be able to. Cute pup BTW!
  20. I would agree too with the La Scala as center. I wonder about doing a khorn center, it would have an enclosed back like the 60th anniversary did. PSG. this would be perfect in your setup!
  21. I have a pair and they sound really good! I also love the idea of a front passive, easier to place in a room without worrying about being far enough away from the wall. For me in the bedroom this wins since space is already tight enough. Why not stick to the size of the 500? Its what Klipsch made, I would just make a better box.
  22. Bill, I have seen subs up front, and I believe that most theaters have them up front as well. Maybe not dead center but not in the corners either. I think for now I will hold off on putting the sub center, since it will involve me moving all of the electronics to a rack on the side. That will cost a few hundred since I will need all new, longer cables.
  23. Bill thank you! Thats just what I wanted to hear! [Y]
