  1. 20% of the US millitary are women, my wife included. Let's get them all home safely[Y]
  2. ahhhhhh lol ok. That seems pretty perfect then. Thanks
  3. not sure exactly what I'm looking at here. Is there a screen that drops down in front of these for a projector? If so is that the "fabric" someone" was talking about? Also a question from a non heritage guy. Most people that have the reference line use larger woofers for their left/right fronts than for their center channel. But what I see in this photo is a much larger woofer on the center speaker than the left and right channels. How does that effect the sound? Do you change the crossover settings to get more bass out of your center (because you have the bigger driver available)? Or if you keep the settings the same are you not taking advantage of the center driver? I know almost nothing about heritage so sorry if these question sound odd.
  4. Fwiw... Your not "taking a chance" on a c-3 for that price. It is a good speaker and for $130 if you didn't like it you can easily get your money back.
  5. I owned the c-3 and used it with f-3's. It is a nice speaker. I thought I was upgrading when I sold the c-3 ($165) and went to the rc52ii but I was not. I now have the rc64ii and still have the f-3's and it sounds great. The c-3 is a good speaker and for $130 if you don't like it you could easily get your money back on eBay. Funny that you have the rf62's cause I ordered a pair and am wondering if they will be an upgrade from the f-3's? I really want rf63's but they are 3x's the price of the 62's. Also keep in mind the c-3 has a composite or plastic box not wood (incase that is important to you) and it is not a perfect rectangle either.
  6. What is your 2.1 system? If it's like the Klipsch Promedia then just use the head phone jack. If it's a 2 channel receiver type then use the HDMI output from your receiver and send that to your TV. Input to the receiver would be from the cable box and DVD player (with the one out going to TV). If you don't have HDMI then use the component connections or RCA connections in the same manner.
  7. When do you plan on needing your receiver to be used for HT? I ask because receivers change so much that you may find yourself wanting an updated receiver in 3-4 years. If your not planing on using it for 2-3 years then you may not be saving yourself any money by over purchasing now (for future use). You can probably find a decent 2 channel option (at least for desktop audio) for well under $100 just for use on your PC now. If I was gonna spend money sort of "inadvance" of actually needing something it would be on speakers as they can pretty much last forever if cared for properly. Actually now that I am thinking about desktop audio maybe you would benefit from a set of Promedia's? They can be found for under $100 and sound great for PC use. I actually use them in my bedroom now that my PC is hooked up to my HT. You won't have the problem of having to back them off your desk and the little sub they come with is great for the price. Sorry to steer you off track just throwing out an option.
  8. Based on info from klipsch I wouldn't worry about it for one second. Should sound fine
  9. Hopefully that really improves the sound. Ever think of painting the ceiling black to blend the panels in?
  10. Are the rf II's the same color cherry as the old rf's?
  11. I'm selling my f-3's. Make me an offer on what you think a good deal is. I sent u an email.
  12. Looks good. There are a couple things I like about your set up. The Rw12d's look great. Never heard them unfortunately but the big drivers matching the L/R/C looks cool. Also the crown moulding looks good. When I built the trim around my screen I used the square blocks like you have around your doors (to eliminate the 45's). It's a nice idea that helps make trim soooo much easier. Also love the doors
  13. Well you always hear people talk about how their subs "shake the house"....well these actually do.
  14. Bill, There is a right answer. Amy gave it to us. They are not voice matched but should still sound fine together. I just got my 64ii installed yesterday and I have F-3's for fronts. Sounds great to me. []
  15. I agree with nezff. I too bought my subs from eD. Same 2 subs Nezff bought. $1400 shipped for 2 500 watt rms 15 inch subs. They are super heavy too and feel like great quality. Couldn't be happier. I was coming from a synergy sub-12 as well. I liked the sub 12 and honestly thought about getting a second sub 12 before eventually going to the eD subs.
  16. Hi Amy, Thanks for passing the info along to your sales team. For clarification the question I asked Robert Land was " Is the rc 64ii "timbre" matched to the RF 83's? His answer was....... "The RC-64 II is timbre matched to the RF-83 as well as the RF-7 II. I would not expect any issues when pairing them up." ...... I only tell you this so you get a full understanding for what happened. I did not ask a generalized question about pairing. I specifically asked him about timbre matching. Thanks for your help again Amy.
  17. Copied mail from Amy....... "Hi Jason, I apologize for any confusion, and I will speak with Robert. The answer is not easy, however, because really, the speakers will sound fine when used together. But the question if they were specifically voiced to be an exact match by our engineers, that answer is no. The current Ref line was only voiced with other components from the same line. But again, you can certainly use them together with negligible difference. Hope that helps, Amy".......... I'm posting this because I feel it is information potential buyers should have. -----Original Message-----
  18. Why are the customer service reps (Robert land) telling people they are?
  19. You guys are really coming out of the woodwork on this subject. Lol
  20. I'm not the authority on this subject at all. I know very little about timbre matching. Just thought I would pass on the info that klipsch emailed me. The rep from klipsch name is Robert land. Feel free to contact him yourself. Your comment saying that you disagree about them being matched is ridiculous. Keep your head in the sand if you want. Or man up... Email klipsch and then apologize to this forum for spreading false information.
  21. RC 64ii is "timbre" matched to the rf 83's. Misinformation is when people say that they are not timbre matched. Wouldn't u agree?
  22. Didn't mean to be harsh. Sorry for offending you. The forums are a great source of information. I would just tell you to consider your source before making an expensive purchase. I consider customer support from klipsch a high quality source for information about klipsch speakers. Wouldn't you like to believe that the person your getting advice from about how a speaker sounds with another speaker has actually heard them together?
  23. Lol... However that is good information. Different cone colors would annoy me.
  24. So much information on this forum! []
