  1. With a budget like that, I might go with 5 heresy IIIs (if you go with brand new) and a subwoofer. Nothing Beats Heritage for me. A budget like that can get you a lot of speaker and will get this forum stiring.
  2. And Answered. I will be passing for now if anyone else is interested.
  3. Just my luck, Klipsch is out of the titanium diaphragms until March and Crites does not have his mid range diaphragms for the chorus ii right now either.
  4. The midrange is out in my chorus II. I actually have not yet checked to see if it is just a bad connection or a blown midrange. Either way i am thinking about the replacements. It is my understanding the Crites has a Phenolic replacement, while Klipsch has a titanium one. Is this true, and has anyone compared them. This discussion has proabably been had already, but I did not get what I wanted in search.
  5. Back on market. I could ship if I need to. I can take more pictures and email anyone who is interested.
  6. The Academy does great as a center channel and keeps up with the Chorus IIs really well. Of course 3 of the exact same speaker sounds the best, but if we are in the Heritage (or extended Heritage) lines, the Academy and KLF-C7 are the "center channels" that work the best. I like both and they seem to match into the system well.
  7. I second Moray James. Since you have it set up for music in two channel, I suggest the Quartet center and Rear center. I am using a quartet as a center currently, while I await a diaphram from Crites for a Forte II. That forte II will be the Center in my system.
  8. That is an initial price. Willing to move it down for Forum Members.
  9. Preamps, receivers and integrated amps also considered.
  10. I can deliver along the Fort Wayne to Chicago Corridor. Want to make sure this gets to a good home.
  11. I have the AV-405 and 705. So I think I will pass on the 505. PM me about the sunfire.
  12. I am looking to sell an Oiled Oak Academy. I bought it through the forum and it works great. I am passing it on because I stumbled into a Forte II and a Quartet. One of those will become the center channel for the Chorus II mains. It will be great fun that is for sure. If interested, pm me or post here. I am in Fort Wayne Indiana now, and travel back and forth to the NW Burbs of Chicago. I would rather do something "local" along that corridor. I am just listing this on the forum, because I am not desperate to get rid of this. Anyone interested, give me an email and I can send more photos. There are a couple of little dings on this, but it sounds great.
  13. The Lightstars are something I would love to get, but a little out of my price range.
  14. Welcome to the forum and I sent you a PM.
  15. Yes, we have had that conversation. I have heard the Carver M-0.5t. I am looking for more power or something that I have not heard from the TFM Line. Thanks for the offer and I wonder if I can interest any of my friends in it. I will ask around.
  16. I am interested in Carver TFM and M amps. Other Carver amps could interest me as well.
  17. That is the MSRP I see as well. I have not looked into these too much. No dealer near me now that I am in Fort Wayne Indiana. I look for older carver amps usually. But I am guessing it would sound good.
  18. Get an old Marantz, Oppo, or Dennon SACD/DVD-Audio player that upconverts DVDs.
  19. I think the majority of people were worried at the acquisition initially. So far, VOXX has done a great job letting Klipsch continue independently, and Klipsh has been making its presence more pronounced even. Naming rights, buses and the like. I have been happy with what I have seen. I am fully supportive and have bought my first new klipsch purchases in a while (the android headphones). I continue to point others toward klipsch speakers that fit their budget and application because they seem to be a great deal at every price point so far. Some people always think change is the end of the world. It is not. Change itself is not good or bad. It just is. So far VOXX has done nothing to tarnish Klipsch. I think that is what most people expected do to other products in the VOXX line that are not up to Klipsch standards (Jensen speakers). People thought that maybe VOXX just wanted the name Klipsch (like the own the phase linear name).
