I could get a much bigger TV, it is just that my Home Theater room isn't that big.

I would get the Toshiba SD-900E if I am 100% sure that the TV will support Progressive Scan.

Dude, remember that I live in Dubai, UAE and I can only buy from what is available since I CANNOT order online since most online shops do not ship internationally. I am making my decision between these two DVD players: Toshiba SD-5200 Toshiba SD-900E The SD-5200 is a non Progressive Scan DVD player but the SD-900E does have Progressive Scan.

But I don't have a DVD player yet (but I have one on my PC). So, what should I do?

But this was a high-end store. Secondly, there was a Toshiba next to it and it was not flickering at all. And there were some other smaller Sony TVs and they were not flickering at all. BTW, this store also had a 60" Plasma TV!

But remember, I was the ES34M80, not the EX34M87. The ES has DRC-1250 and DRC-100. But the CHEAPER model (EX) has DRC-1250 and DRC-Progressive.

Crap, I haven't gotten a reply from Sony yet. Anyone else here know if the KV-ES34M80 supports Progressive Scan?

Toshiba 34N9UXM It says it has 100Hz Progressive Scan, but is that the same thing as the Progressive Scan from DVD players?

I was at a electronics showroom to check out the TVs. I was looking at the Sony KV-ES34M80. The Sony has DCR-1250 and DCR-100 and it meant to be flicker free, but it was flickering when I saw it. How can this be? And yes, it was the same model, not some other.

I just watched it in the Theater.
