    I see that you have a MH 2.2Le and was wondering what you are using for a cart (Stock? etc)

    I have a MH 2.1 and have been thinking of upgrading the stock cart.

    Belle vs. Cornwall

    I own both, Cornwalls and Belles, and they are different animals, IMO.

    The Belles are pretty but it is only skin deep. They do lack the thumping bass the Corns have but they are not bass shy. I've had a sub hooked to them but the logistics of my room prevented me of keeping the sub as part of the system. Only after finding a well mated pre and amp (modded ST-70 w/point to point wiring, and a Juicy Music Blueberry,) I was able to obtain an acceptable compromise. If you like bass heavy music, the Belles may not be to your liking without some sub woofer help. Now if you like Female vocals, the Belle set-up I have is phenomenal that not even my K-horn setup can match (Enya, The Cranberries, Cowboy Junkies, Madeline Peyroux)

    My Cornwalls (1982 vintage) have just recently (a week ago) got a crossover upgrade by Bob and Mike Crites. All I can say is, WOW!!!. What a difference just upgrading the crossovers can make. Others have commented that is was like taking a blanket off their speakers. I can't explain it any better. I have better, if not more, clean bass and the detail is much more defined. I'm hearing things in music that I could only hear on the Belles and K-horns. One good example I can give is the beginning of Pink Floyd's "Time". I can now hear the last two or three bongs of the clock as they fade away.

    My suggestion is that at the very least, get your crossovers upgraded. I've been on this forum for 10 years and have read post after post about people preaching upgrading older crossovers. Being a very skeptical person, it took over 10 years of brainwashing to finally get me to drink the "upgrade your older crossovers" Kool-aid.

    Upgrading your crossovers is very inexpensive if you can do the work yourself or in my case, it is still very affordable to have someone else to do them for you if you don't have the time or skills.

    I think you can pull of the Belle purchase and the Crownwall crossover upgrade and thus ending up with 2 sets of great sounding heritage speakers.

    Cornwall B-2 to B-3 upgrade Question

    Hi All:

    I've been in contact with Bob and the B-3 network were designed around the K-57 driver and is not a match for the K-51.

    So, the B-3's are not a "drop" in replacement in my situation

    There are a couple of options that are available to me:

    1. Just upgrade my current B-2 crossovers

    2. Upgrade the Mid driver and horn (K-601), use the B-3's and end up with Cornwall 1.5's.

    I'm leaning towards option #1

    Cornwall B-2 to B-3 upgrade Question

    I have a pair of "82 Cornwalls that consists of:

    Tweeter: K-77-M

    Mid Driver: K-51-V

    Woofer: K-33-E

    Network: B-2

    So, the question is???

    Can I just drop in the B-3 Network (Bob Crites Rebuild of a B-3 back in June of 08) without a driver change and/or the tap configurations?

    I do have the back off on one of the Corwalls in case anyone has questions regarding the existing B-2 configuration. Mine is a little different looking then the B-2 picture Jim posted in his thread.

    K-Horn "B" Style Question '78 Vintage

    Hi:

    What is the proper alignment of the Top Hat as it sits on the top of the bass bin? and Can it be different depending on the Year(s) manufactured.

    I've seen pictures where the Top Hat "overhangs" the bass bin, just a bit, but my Top Hats are flush with the bass bins

    Mine are flush because that is the only way I could line up the bracket on the bass bin with the threaded rods affixed to the top hat and still be able to secure it with the wing nut square with the bracket.

    The only reason why I'm asking is that I going to start re-finishing these and was wondering if the "brackets" on the bass bins have been bent out of place due to poor handling or the threaded rods on the bottom to the top hats are not straight anymore.

    These K-Horns were rescued from a bad situation and if I don't start the process of re-finishing these soon, someone else will be saying the same thing about me.

    I bought a single AWR-650 for my parents to put in their screened in porch.

    I'm kicking myself that I didn't order a couple more of them when 6Th Ave had them on sale for $99.99/ea

    I was impressed with these speakers when I first heard them at one of the Klipsch Pilgrimages in Indy.

    I'm confused!!??!!

    I thought with Bob's convertible A/AA all you had to do was change the taps to make the Crossover an A or AA. The instructions on how to do so are on the bottom of my A/AA's so I can' tell you exactly what needs to be changed on the crossover.

    I'm not aware of any changes needing to be done to tweeters to accomplish this switch.

    The A-4500 is a different crossover, correct?

    Denon AVR 3600 and no set up menu on screen

    Ok..

    After looking at the manual for your TV, It appears that you are doing what I believe is the correct set-up.

    You should see the Denon's OSD (On Screen Display) if you have the TV Input set to Component 1.

    Have you tried setting the TV to Component 1 first and then pressing the OSD button from the Denon Remote? Just thinking/hoping its a synching problem.

    I only looked at the Quick manual, but does the full manual say if you have to configure the Component 1 if you are using it for analog or a composite connection?
