Picked up a really nice pair of 1980 Heresys, raw birch with a medium stain. Lady bought them new in 1980 when she was in college. One had its original box and styrofoam and the other just the original styrofoam.
I'll be using them as my mains and using one of my 81 Heresys as a center.
Can't wait to get everything moved around and hooked up!
Crites has good affordable new crossovers
and new gaskets for the horn drivers
Check the internal wires for dry rot
Maybe a piece of batting from the fabric store to lay in the bottom
Some people turn the woofers upside down to fight gravity
Wipe on Watco oil natural per directions
Crites and others sell replacement tweeters, I haven't heard them

A Director level I worked for was really good at grading papers of people who worked for him and similar behaviors.
The CEO moved him under a VP who took note of every comment, act and behavior performed on the subordinates, and did the same thing to the Director in Public, usually in the most humiliating and degrading way possible.
When the Director complained to the CEO about his treatment, the CEO told him that he was a fah in a loud clear voice with the door open and told him don't come back.
After six months at his new company his entire staff of 60 went to the CEO at noon, and told him if they were still working for the guy at 5 pm they were all quitting. They had a new boss by 1pm.

My Bike looks like this in Black, 1977 860 GTS
Too much traffic within 75 miles of Chicago to ride safely.
So it sits under a Tarp.
When I lived near DC 45 years ago you could ride into open country and rolling hills in minutes or ride through the city on the weekend or mid day. Would frequently take the parkway past Glen Echo and Georgetown into DC and onto the Whiteherst Freeway staying along the Potomac River. City has more than doubled in pop since then, US has added 100 million cars since then and at least 100 million people.
Weekend nights Mr Henry's in NW usually had a lot of not Harley's parked out front, and talented local rock bands playing with large open windows during the warm evenings. Class 5, Central Office with stepper switches across the street was always fun to watch through the open windows. Still plenty of pulse dials.
Affordable cheese burgers with chips, rock music, pitchers of affordable Bud, and a sweet aroma permeating the street.

What speaker cables are you using?
I use std 12 GA copper with gold banana plugs for units that accept them for speakers
16 GA lamp cord works fine too, it was the std when most of the Heritage speakers were designed
Clamp connections on amps are fine too, easy and fast and cheap.
RCAs I use Cables direct shielded with gold plated connectors
Affordable, excellent flexibility, good connections
I groom the cable on the backs of the racks to keep speaker cables from crossing power cords etc
Belden makes excellent products, I use them for FM coax, zero loss over 100 ft runs for FM
Belden in wall twisted pair cables probably outperform any other speaker cables of any kind.
If I ever move or rewire I may use the twisted pair cables.
Shielded USB cables
Glass tosslink cables for optical isolation to prevent ground loops
Std power cords, star into APC Sequencers with over and under protection
also minimizes ground loop problems
Everything that feeds my Mac pre-amp is plugged into it, again star grounding. I may buy another short inexpensive power strip and move all the plugs onto it, then into one jack on the back of the pre amp to clean up the power cord mess on the back of the preamp. Attach the power strip to the rack with strong cable ties.

@Bubo I have a lot of the Lavazza coffee on hand and I buy quite a bit of imported coffee from Middle Eastern shops , it's some of the best I ever tasted -the packaging is usually far superior -
Frequently, I buy tea and spices from Indian shops
ask the clerks which is the "best name brand"
since that is where much of it is grown.
Any ME coffee brands you recommend ?
ME has been trading with Kenya and Ethiopia since at least 1000 BC
Roman Emperors made a lot of money off of their spice ships from India, Egypt,
Spices were purchased in India and brought up the red sea
then caravan to Roman ports on Egypt's n Coast,
then all over the empire .... and adjacent trading partners for gold and silver etc
When Italy left their colonies in Ethiopia, many Italians stayed and are part of the commercial and banking class.
The business relationships in this part of the world are hundreds of years old
or perhaps thousands in some cases.

If I had Cornwall 1 or 2, I would have tried to mount a horn like this one with a Faital Pro or BMS driver. I think there is room and even to put the K79 on top.

or
http://www.paudiothailand.com/uploads/pdf/products/PH-4220.pdf
And to stay on topic, it is because there is not enough room on CWIII to mount the K702 (or equivalent).
For the difference between CWIII and CWIV, I notice that apart from the demo at Klipsch with Chef Bonehead, no one has listened to CWIII against CWIV in the auditorium or at home. It's a shame, because I would like to have this opinion.
😀
There are likely several wood shops in town that would make you some cabinets to play with. Suggest inexpensive plywood and removable motor board, so you can experiment. Sounds good on paper vs sounds good. Lots of designs for wood cabinets have been out since the 1950s, math hasn't changed. The reason Klipsch is here and so many others are gone, is that PK understood declining marginal returns on his products.
Chasing the last 1% of improvement is what we do, cost is the limiting factor

When we were stationed in Italy 45 years ago, it introduced me to good coffee and coffee bars. Lavaza and illy both have very tight process and product quality controls and buy direct from growers if I recall correctly.
The problem with the exotics, is the ease of counterfeits given the small supplies and large demand.
Columbia, Costa Rica, Ethiopia and Kenya all have low acid high quality product in large quantities. LaVazza and Illy have a lot of Kenyan and Ethiopian beans of high quality.

I haven't heard of many complaints about the wireless sub connectors, but I'm not sure how they sound. I'm sure someone will be along with more info.
Depends on if the rf signal is analog or digital
each has it's own set of issues.
Likely digital, perhaps p to p Blutooth ?
You have added two AD DA conversions assuming they pass the full spectrum.
Just sub perhaps they only sample 20-200 and throw everything else away.

Has anyone done a bake off with MM MC on same turntables running into same pre amp etc ?
Is there a frequency sweep record out there that could be used to run a trace from 20hz to 20khz ?
Compare someone reading a book like Richard Burton, which cart sounds natural ?
Must be a vinyl version of this somewhere.

Aegr looks like a nice amp for any Heritage speaker.
Excellent specs
Please give updates as you go.

All three would work for you, LS, CW, Heresy 1-4
Vocals, LS is the clear winner. Piano is full scale, so you will want an EQ or tone controls to play with to match your ears. Thick rug in the middle of the room.
Piano, ensure the slew rate and damping are excellent along with headroom, since the amp goes from zero to wide open on every hard strike. Also ensure the amp is rated up to the 80-100khz range.
For rise and fall, the LS is the fastest speaker, fully horn loaded. Piano sounds great on mine.
LaScalla will be almost all of the voice energy on the mid horn, avoiding cross overs
If you can get the LS 4-6 in off the floor, the mid will be at ear level sitting.
A good 20W Class A amp is all you need
Cornwalls, same thing with some voice energy going to the woofer. 20W
Heresy's on top of coffee tables are great, just have to turn up the Bass a bit. 20W
For your room, the Heresys may be the best pick, I have a pair in a similar size room on coffee tables, sound great. Same mid driver as LaScalas on the older versions, not sure what they are doing today.
K=horns too big and too tall, the mids are over your head, if you had a large room, high cathedral ceiling, and you are 20ft away, great.
Bottom line
10-15 year old 75-100W used Yamaha, Harmon, or pioneer Elite THX AB amp, surround amp with room EQ mic and digital inputs may be killer for your application and can be had for $150 or less. Check the specs and read the reviews. I see them all the time for sale. Were in the $500-1000 range new. Built in DACS are great in many cases. Turn off all the surround stuff and you have a great integrated amp with build in DAC and EQ and a remote control. They are so affordable, you can score 3-5 of them and see which your ears like better, I have a bunch of them I have scored for $20 or less, some sold for near $1k new in 2000 and have killer fm tuners built in. Every amp has a personality.
Would also suggest for your first Klipsch, score a pair of used Heresys before throwing down for CW, LS or K-horns. $400-900 range depending on age all versions are great if working properly, 1 or 2 should be recapped or new crossovers from crites.

Forte 2 s are highly desirable, going rate is $500, 600 mint
The rest you would have to give away to sell it
$600 for everything
And they don't have a bunch of strangers in their home, who will only want individual speakers, after multiple auditions.
I would keep the Fortes about 10-13 ft apart, and ditch the rest ASAP
Mediocre surround, or killer stereo

George Winston, December (like you are sitting on the bench listening)
Christopher Parkering, EMI Classic Remaster of 4 early LPs "The artistry of ..."
Steve Nicks, Trouble in Shangri-la, Crow helped write, produce, play and master. Crow has a great ear. One or two tracks over-processed but still good. Nick's comeback LP after her doctor Micheal Jacksoned her causing a 10 year creativity shut down.
Dido, No Angel
Agnes Obel, Citizen of Glass
Hooverphonic, Live with Orchestra DVD, great stage performance
Francois Hardy, Message Personal, early Hardy she is still putting good music since 1960s, 190K attended one of her concerts in the late 60s in Paris
Wynton Marsailis, Standard Time, Vol 3
Cynde Bradley, Unscripted
Chris Botti and Chris Issac have many LPs, both have great ears
Helen Merrill, Four Classic Albums, AVIDJazz remaster. 1950s recording limits, she deserves to be heard
Buddah Bar, Buddah's Dinner, by Claude Challe, Mix of various artists (World Music?), lots of different music
Andreas Vallenweider, White Winds, dynamic on vinyl haven't tried CD versions
Shadowfax, Shadowdance, dynamic on vinyl

Years ago I put up roof antenneas
worried about lightening, I decided to ground the entire house like a radio station transmission tower
Four 8ft rods tied together in a circle
Tied to all of the plumbing and electrical contacts and boxes
When my daughter returned from school, turned on the TV and asked
What did you do to the TV ?
TV was still connected to cable.
Everything matters
-
Nails, yes
Suggest repairing the cabinets to a smooth surface,
then spend a few weeks listening to them before making a decision to build-up the cabinets.
YMMV

Put your chair where you like it.
Start with the speakers about 10ft apart straight ahead.
As you move them out, keep toeing the speakers in towards your chair.
At some point the sound will lose cohesion, start moving them closer till good cohesion is achieved
You can then experiment with toeing the speakers out slightly from your chair
At some point you will lose the sweet spot etc.
On paper the subs are better in the corners, I have front firing Klipsch 12s. I like them in the center a few feet apart if 2, or off center if one, and forward of the TV if it's in the middle. They punch like Forman turned up.
A thick rug in the middle of the room is a giant plus
Bookshelves, a hanging rug or a thick curtain behind you is a plus
Stuffed furniture is a plus, as are open windows when you can
Suggest you do your testing with female vocal and a piano
IMHO reproduction of the female voice is the acid test which so many systems fail.
My new years promise is to begin going through books on CD to find a good female test voice with some range and depth.
My two quick test tracks are on CD:
Ronstadt Skylark, with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, a lot of systems get an F in the first 30 seconds.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzNmG_lpNw8
Poe (Jane) on Conjure One LP, "Make a wish" in many stereo show rooms Poe's voice almost disappears completely, as we switch from speaker to speaker using the same source and amp. It's electronica but the voice is hard to beat for testing. Tears from the Moon on same LP Sinead vocal is also good, but easier to reproduce, yet you should be able to hear the emotion.
