  1. Klipsch still sells the Mics for calibration. I looked into it and think they run about 30 dollars. I used the mic from my UMC-1 and it was tempermental but worked well. When I sold my rt-10d all I did was use the demo mode for the guy and his eyes lit up and was sold!

  2. I have a different model then the omni mounts, but same principle. Instead of putting screws into my rb81's then rb 61's I used velcro tape and it works perfectly safe. I just used 2 small squares on the speakers bottoms.

  3. Nice what record clamp is that, I sometimes wonder if they are worth giving a try.

I found it on Canuckaudiomart from a guy in Montreal. It is a custom one built with lead cylinder in middle. It is a lot heavier then the one that came with my Kyocera turntable. I can certainly see it flatten out Lp's but uncertain if I hear any sonic differences. Just looks cool spinning !

Duder, my friend did not take pictures during the Plinth build, but I can take some of the under carriage at some point. The plinth is around 25lbs total.

    :emotion-21: Big thumbs up.

I love the wood plinth and cases. Really classes up the equipment.

Thanks, it was the old school look I was going for since getting into 2 channel and getting my first McIntosh with walnut case as it looked classy. I just built the system around it being patient. I paid a little more then I wanted for the breadbox dustcover, but after seeing it I'm glad I did as it looks great!

  4. "Can't tell if he is saying the drive isn't being recognized at all"

That's what I'm saying. I have put a thumbdrive formatted to NTFS, then loaded files onto drive then attached to video player and it did not read it at all. I reformatted that same drive to FAT32 and reinstalled the same files and the media player recognised it and played it .

I guess i have to do my homework. I don't recognise any terms I used as "analog" ;)

  5. I've had great luck with this tube DAC. It's set up so that it works with two different systems and sounds great with both while converting MOG off a PC. Never heard the Jolida.

I have the D1 with upgraded op amp and a bendix tube and it sounds great. Good price for them too ;)

  6. I wouldn't pay higher than $700. $400-$600 is more reasonable, depending on condition.

I just sold mine a month ago for 500. For that money (999$) there are way better options out there.

  7. I just didn't think the left and right mains had that much of an impact as the center unless your room is massive in size....then you have jumped to the rc64 which I don't think I need.

You may not "need" the rc-64, but after you heard it you'd "want " it !!

My rb81's are keeping up nicely with my rc64 after swapping out my rf-35's (82 iv's older version) until I find RF63 or 83's

  8. The Crites mid diaphragms are not titanium. Bob does not carry a titanium squawker diaphragm for any Klipsch model that I am aware of. You need to order directly through Klipsch.

I believe that Bob's mids are some sort of "Improved" phenolic, however they are not titanium.

    +1
