I am trying to sell my father in laws klipsch la scala b25 speakers he bought over 30 yrs ago. I dont want to RIP anyone off, but I was told these speakers can sell in the tens of thousands, but we were only asking 6 or less. I'd like to know the honest price for them, because I dont want to over price them
- what is your location - State-City -better pictures would help a lot -----make sure to take pictures of all the sides of the 2 speakers ----top-sides -front-rear -----and they must show the serial number tag or the embossed serial number in the wood if the tags are missing ------the tags will determine the age to match up with the current parts -

Right on the mark, sold for $1500. I took $100 off for gas money because the Buyer came from 5 hours away to pick them up.
Sold due to low WAF. 😥

I've tracked about 100 confirmed sales of LS's with Type AA crossovers. La Scala's in Good condition average $1205 and in Avg/poor condition $918.
I used to own 1978 La Scala's which I purchased 5 years ago for $600. The upgraded Crites A/4500 crossovers cost $200. They sound really good but they are not the best in the Klipsch line, there are still two or three that are better IMO.
DAVE -----WOW -----you bought these speakers for 600$ ------beautiful ---pristine ,------what was the selling price , just curious 1500$

Well, I think that is inevitable.
Hopefully people realize that opening up only means they have an available bed in the ICU.

Turns out it started as a travel restriction, not a ban. By the time it was issued, it was already in the US.

Right, because when you're not prepared and don't have a plan, expect mistakes. They also waited too long. By the time they put the travel ban in place it was too late.

yes Dave, it's a hoax, it's all make believe.
no -it's a mess , and the errors are piling up , had they not muzzled Dr Fauci and implemented a National health strategy , across all USA States ,by setting up a Governors meeting with the WH at the onset and acted in 1 United Front , the results may have been very different -

I am not sure what I’ve accumulated after years of substitutions.
You see, if something stops working (aka gets fried) I replace it with the flavour of the day rather than try the same old, same old again. So there is always a one-off left over.
A couple of Cornwall turned Chorus-walls and a LaScala or two later and I’ve amassed more replacements than I’ll have any need for in the foreseeable future.
Thought maybe I’d keep the only matching pair
these look like LSI industrial speakers , the right round k77 is Alnico ,1970's , the bottom left K77 is 79-80, the other 4 silver ones are 80's k77 , they are not tagged as K77M --------but all square magnets are ferrite magnets - all aftermarket k77 diaphragms fit -5$ each , for all these tweeters -and it takes a 15 minutes to solder -screw-test per unit

All the info and research that I've done and when we purchased them is more than we are asking for them. The crossovers we replaced were $2,100 they have been rebuilt with all original parts
you should pictures of the rear of the speakers , and more so , with the paper tags or the embossed serial numbers , these will show when these speakers were made and the crossovers revisions and the midrange driver -tweeters will show up as well as they visible in the rear of the cabinet ,
- from what I can see these can be 1978-79 or later Lascala's-----they are 1 piece cabinets -------the grille was added to the front of the cab with what could be a dealer installed option -

Visited McIntosh Audio, Tom Manley, a week ago to pick up my new amp. Terry Dewick had gone through it months ago but I had to wait until the "Safer at Home" order was relaxed. Filled the Pre-amp section with NOS Mullards and left in the RCA outputs. Hooked it up to my MX110 and Chorus II's, after hearing it wife said purchase approved! Made a huge difference in bass over the MC30's. Also picked up an MPI 4 and am learning to use it.

I told Roy that when purchasing Jubilees the 1502 should just be part of the package. What a difference it makes with the proper tone that is Db independent.
did you ever find out what the 1502 cost

by experience -FEDEX GROUND terminal to terminal is much less expensive ---------They dump it at the terminal closest to their location and you pickup at the same on your end

Hi hanksjim1 , Thank you for looking - sorry I was awake all night- or maybe I should say half asleep..... I really meant the bottom halves of La Scala's ... I edited it - thanks!
Hi RANDYH , I saw an old ratty pair of the bottom half of some La Scala's 8 or 9 months ago that needed a complete new exterior that someone was asking 200.00 for . . . .but at the time I had just found out - out of the blue that I had cancer and I passed on them because I was walking around in a daze for a few days - LOL . ------ But you may be right I may have to build them , it's just that time is a limited resource at the moment - so I was just hoping that someone may have an old ratty pair stashed away for a project that they decide they don't want to mess with - or see a pair of bottoms on Craig's List , or somewhere. I guess I'm just being an ever hopeful optimist - 🙂 - 🙃 - 🙂 - 🙃 ....... figured it couldn't hurt to ask.
Dean , I hope you are doing better ,it's like a hammer when the call comes in -
I would tell you to keep on watching this forum's alerts , the guys post deals all the time --South California-Texas -there are a lot of good deals and just the Bottoms should be easier to find than the full cabs -------I'll keep a watch for you -----if I see an alert , I will shoot back - much obliged -
