The 9090DB has fuse resistors on the amp boards that like to open up. If they are not all the way open, it could cause intermittent issues. Could be several things causing the channel to not work though:
Dirty Relay
Dolby Board Pass-throughs
Solder connection
Dirty controls

First comments are always, about that rack. It is really something in person that pics just can't capture. Thank YOU Tom!

There is a set up on Audiogon that I have always remembered and just found it. It has one of the beefiest displays of beautiful wood goodness I have seen.
Ya, that room is absolutely STUNNING! Thanks for sharing...

It is a VERY bitchin preamp. Ahead of its time in most respects, and has a fantastic phono section. Will need recapped to be at its best, and the original opamps can be upgraded. I would stick with the original parts here, but get the low noise version that is available now. Great preamp!
Most common issue with them is the power switch flaking out, but it can be replaced.

Looking forward to Night Manager!

My wife thinks Chuck is not going to make it.... I really like Chuck, he is a vital part of the show IMO, so I don't see it. Not yet.

Congrats to Purchaser and seller!

Because they are smartly laid out Speaker jacks on the outside, power in the middle, and RCA inputs on the inside. Wires don't cross! Take a look at the back panels... EVERY amp should be like this. It looks better too!! Says "custom"....

Wait, you actually got to listen to mine for a quick minute when you came. I forgot about that. Maybe when you pick up your gear, you can stay awhile!!

Mike, is that you?? LOL! I think I see your Mug in that pic..... You won't regret this purchase. It is THE best preamp I have ever heard. This one was such a no brainer though. Looks like you get a full suite of Cardas RCA's, Jupiter Flat Coupling caps, and there is a Mullard Rectifier in the pic too I think...
eth, I'll take a paypal for my 10%!!

Money must be tight for most, as these preamps should sell instantly. They are that good.

Hey Folks,
I got to talk to Greg at Volti. What an amazing wealth of knowledge when it comes to our beloved Khorns.
I will be buying his full upgrade in a few months. That way unknowns as well as knowns that cause a perturbation in the sound will be ameliorated as best as possible.
Once that is done I will resume testing amps.
The ones on my list will be:
First Watt F7
Pass 30.8
Decware ZMA
and amp and preamp from QS if he will allow.
also If Justin Weber will allow for demo, I would pay for shipping both ways, if I do not buy, and a $50.00 handling fee to try his Casablanca's
maybe others.... stay tuned!
Volti has paired with Border Patrol and the Rossi Lio at shows...

Yes , if someone wants we can talk . But I don't want to have Tom keep making me cases so I thought I'd just tuck it away for now . Also case would raise my price

Why would Tom mind making more cases???
