  4. I have Qty: 2 of these available that I used for a very short while in a DIY speaker project. No scratches or dents look like new. I would like to at least sell in pairs or all 4. These would be the same woofers used in the Reference II line RF-52ii, RC-52ii, and RS-52ii. PM for more details or questions. PayPal only. Pair = $45 shipped
  5. I am not sorry. BASH Plate amps are on sale at Parts Express right now tho
  6. Should have asked more I'm not going to lie, I was trying to think up a project for it myself. Yea but I think it was fairly priced and I like to move on to the next thing quickly instead of trying to squeeze every last dollar out of it. Think I paid $160 for it. I'm happy, the buyer is happy, everyone's happy.
  7. Sold. I believe the fastest sell I have ever had. 34 minutes.
  8. Hey guys I'm looking to move this 12" driver. I bought it approximately 3 months ago from Parts-Express and have been driving it with a Bash 300 watt plate amp. I have the original box to ensure a safe shipment. Looking for $125 shipped to your door. Paypal only. PM for additional details or questions. Thanks! http://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-ts320d-4-12-titanic-mk-4-subwoofer-4-ohm--295-403
  9. I thought about buying 2, but it's only good for Qty: 1 per household. Still $199 is not bad for this sub
  10. $199 actually, but $179 after $20 rebate. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882780073&cm_re=klipsch-_-82-780-073-_-Product
  11. Agreed Agreed I utilize XL-12s(brother to the XB-10) on my desk at work on the pedestal stands that were sold with the XL-23s. Bass is handled by a Synergy Sub-10 and I use the DTA-1 15wpc amp from Dayton. I honestly enjoy it more than my system at home. The sound stage is ridiculous and they look absolutely gorgeous. Because I went back to 5.1 at home I deployed the XL-12s for surround duties for about 6 months while I tried out Gallery G-12s and quintets on my desk. Sorry but not even close and no comparison. These will never leave my desk again. I have $285 into this setup and the speakers, sub, and amp were all purchased brand new over the last 2 years. Plus I like the idea that it's fairly custom with the stands deployed on the XL-12s and something that probably no one else has. However, I understand that Klipsch cannot produce items to satisfy most of the members on this forum. Their goal is to make money and satisfy the masses, and I think a $150 does that. Only people on this forum would consider a $500 desktop setup, and that will not keep the lights on at Klipsch as much as we all would love to see from them and I'm sure Klipsch would love to produce. But the business case is certainly not there.
  12. Certainly not all the time, but if watching a movie I typically turn all of the lights off. I have recessed canned lights that can be dimmed. So for typical viewing I kill the lights for the half of the room where the couches and TV are. Then leave the other half of the room's lights on, but to the dimmest setting. These would be my typical viewing conditions while giving you some additional pics of the ambient light behind the TV.

  14. Precisely. I am not naive enough to think that this affects actual black level performance whatsoever. More so the perceived black levels.
  15. I recently read an article about ambient lighting. The main points of the article's recommendation were the following: -Less strain on your eyes during long viewing periods -Improves TVs black level performance I've never struggled with eye strain at home, more on my computer at work and I was already pleased with my TV's black level performance but I still thought it was worth a shot. They recommended a $30 LED strip off of Amazon but stressed the most important criteria was the 6500k color. Therefore, I just purchased a $16 6500k White LED rope light from Wal-Mart and wrapped it around the wall mount twice. I thought it turned out pretty well, and I do like the effect that it has. Anyone else have experience or tips with Ambient lighting for your viewing area?
  16. Got these back on my desk at work after 6 months of trying the Gallery G-12s and then a brief stint with Quintet IIIs. They just couldn't compete with the SQ or looks of the XL-12s. I just can't get away from the Icon X line. More than excited to re-deploy these to my office desk duties.
  17. Purchased ~month ago off eBay due to lack of availability of a certain model I was searching for. I deployed them on my desk at work. I have located what I really wanted and would like to flip these. I wouldn't call them mint, however the are in very good condition. One of the grills has a small snag on the top left hand corner and is not noticeable unless you are looking for it. Other than that, no other visual issues. PM any questions. Thanks!
  18. No $14.99. The deal ended last night. I bought a set. They still have them for $24.99 Open Box http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=0TH-00A0-00046R
  19. After $10 mail-in rebate. http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=0TH-00A0-00046
  20. You won't be disappointed. I love mine. Never understood why these were short lived and never a hit. I assume because they are active as opposed to passive and the high retail price tag. I think they are the most elegant looking speaker Klipsch has made, after the palladium of course. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts once youve had some time with them! Enjoy! I have been thoroughly enjoying these wonderful speakers the past 2 days! I have owned the DT STS Supertowers, Martin Logan Purity towers and about 12 different towers the past couple years. My initial impressions are that these are right up there with my beloved RF-63's, the 63's might go louder but these really shine at moderate volume levels. My room is small so I won't be able to crank them up past -20 or so. My new SVS SB-2000 really helps anchor the low end. Jonny, if you don't mind me asking, what do you have your towers crossed over at with the dual subs? Also, are you running speaker wires or RCA cables to the speakers? I am also very impressed with this NAD receiver. I am a Pioneer Elite guy at heart but this T-757 has really impressed me. It might be lacking some features but I am very impressed with the sound. It was a great day when I picked up this gear and I will be enjoying everything for many years to come! When I run Auto Setup on my Harman it sets the towers to Full Range. However I pull it back to the THX recommended 80hZ crossover and let my subs do the heavy lifting. I do think these XF-48s are pretty adequate down to the 40hZ range. While I prefer the sound of my Harman over the Onkyo I replaced it with, I believe the Audyssey setup was a little more accurate on the Onkyo. In my current 5.2 setup I use speaker wire. I read in multiple articles to use wire since you are for the center and surrounds, as it will sound a little different. However I used the XF-48s in a stereo setup before I moved for an entire year and used the line level inputs. Both sounded good and without conducting an actual A/B comparison I can not tell a difference.

  22. Are they really the same company? I've always wondered...their websites look very similar. I believe someone on this forum stated that they were and I remember reading it. Not sure what the philosophy is behind 2 different names. Are they really the same company? I've always wondered...their websites look very similar.
