  1. I have no plan to upgrade anything I have so I'm not worried what they already have is excellent. . Next step would be cinema gear or triad platinums.
  2. No no no you have this all wrong it's going to be the THX ultra 3
  3. Ok I understand now . When I had my rsw10d I had it in a similar spot in my old house! Lots of pretty speakers in the room
  4. lMichael, It was never a problem for me because I bought Youthman's RT-10d twins after I had owned the B15 and SB13+ for some time. I decided to get the RT-10d's for three reasons, they are drop dead gorgeous, they added a very symmetrical touch to the front of the room , and they added a wonderful balance to the RF-63's for music. The fact that they also offered some really nice thrust for action movies was an added bonus that I did not really expect. Bill I may have misunderstood but I thought you meant they didn’t offer the impact you needed do you use only these 2 in your setup Bill
  5. I completely understand what you mean Jason and I wholeheartedly agree. I experienced the same thing with the KW-120s with some content even after they were tuned to 20hz you can hear port noise at volumes reaching towards reference and it is very distracting. The same goes for the PB-13. The new subwoofers I have ordered should have no problem but for the sake of this topic I agree with you 100%. Great for non-enthusiast that seek only the very best at the very loudest.
  6. I liked the sound of the dean g modified rf7iis. That's for sure.
  7. My pair of RT-10d's sound fantastic with music and complement my Revel B15 and SVS SB-13 Plus with HT, but they would never alone have the impact for HT that I "need". Bill I had the same exact problem when I owned the RT-12d. now it was an amazing sub and I only had 1 but my space was smaller as it was before we had our custom home built. In the smaller space it definitely sounded great but what we have come to experience and expect from home theater bass just couldn’t be had with the RT12d and I don’t think even 2 of them would have brought that impact I had with the THX ultra-subs. Even the 4 of them had their drawbacks but they were the best subwoofers I have ever owned. I haven’t heard their KPT subs but I have no doubt they are great. Just not WAF by any means lol. I also had an RSW10d and I wish I never ever gave that to my father. I would love to have it in my 2 channel Lascala setup now. I wouldn’t be suprsied if Klipsch new line of speakers has a new 15” sub in the mix that is up to par with some of the other more notable subs in the $2,000 price point as the PB-ultra 13 is. Bill
  8. I'm not sure which sub ill put with these but I don't listen to music at high volumes only movies. I'm def up dr suggestion among members that use these I don't need it to fill bass through out the entire garage either. I have it close to where i usually am. The garage is 27' wide and about 48' long.
  9. Got both lascalas in place. Will be running 12awg speaker cable to them and start hunting pre pros. A special tha is to wstrickland for helping me move these into my garage.
  10. I'm a big fan of having wires in walls and hidden from view I used a similar method with my two TVs. Installed brush plates for all cabling. Your setup is very neat and clean cut.
  11. I think pioneer elite and onkyo pair very well wih klipsch. I also agree with the others that Sony is better with Video than audio. Sony is a broad company making tons I different things. Onkyo and pioneer elite make audio gear. When pioneer did make t a though they were among the best there was. I'd go give an elite avr a listen. Lets not even say the word Bose ok gentlemen?
  12. How many inches on between the ceiling and top of the projector. ? I need to make sure it will fit within my area.
  13. I'm leaning towards the bracket. It would certainly look neat mounted in the alcove
  14. Originally it was 5 weeks lead time but Jeff said they are finished. From what I read he has amazing quality and that the wait is worth it.
  15. The JTRs haven’t arrived yet Carl but when they do I will definitely photograph them un-packaging, and with them in place both with the grills on and off in place under the screen I promise!
  16. I’m thinking next week when after I bring the new subwoofers up to the theater and get them in place, I will order the ceiling mount bracket for the projector and just mount it inside the box so I know it won’t move. Just flip it upside down and get it done.
  17. I am actually concerned about it moving. I thought about ways to secure it. The new Lens will be a fixed lens instead of the motorized sled version. If I go with the mount that attaches to the top of the projector I could just mount the projector to the top of the recessed box in my wall. I’m not sure which rout I’m going but I don’t think it will stay stationary in its resting spot
  18. I stopped drinking soda 6 years ago... But hires was the best root beer you don't see it anymore.
  19. Thanks derrick I’m looking forward to it. They should be incredible from everything I have read and definitely have single digit in room response. Im not to worried about the electrician cause I want to have it done right and I’m pretty patient fella. I think I’ll grab my neighbor to help me haul them up there (3 flights of stairs ughhh) as they are 200lb each unit we should be able to do it. I’ll take photos of their arrival and then un-packaging and pics of them before and after in place under the screen. they are actually a little less deep than the KW-120s which is nice but much longer at 40” long. Installing some nice brushed wire plates for the new XLR and powercon cables to come through the wall with. I ordered the plates this week for the wall.
  20. Well with the Dual JTR captivators being shipped out Monday morning I took the time to break down my audio rack and remove the middle shevles since I don’t have separate sub amplifiers (the 4000 watt plate amps are in the Cap S2’s). I received all 9 XLR cables last night and replaced my RCAs with the new XLR interconnects. Then got it all hooked up and ran my two XLR outs from my processor and through the walls behind my theater for the new subwoofers. Got it all cleaned up and now wait their arrival. The electrician is scheduled to come in two weeks to connect power con rececpticales and the 2 new 20amp circuits for the subs in 2 weeks. Now if only there was someone to help me haul these 400lb speakers up to the theater…
  21. Bose had end. And it was such and end, worthy of rememberence- lord of the rings
