  2. Roy, I am a mechanical engineer by training but currently own a manufactures rep. company dealing with industrial automation. rigma
  3. That is just stunning! BRAVO Do you plan on using any grill cloth on the LF or HF? Yes, the bass bins will get cloth(duracrest) in the next few days. I think I have come up with a neat way to do that and will post pics to show the process. The 402 will follow, maybe in a couple weeks. We want to get them in the room then evaluate some options for the 402 once they are in place. rigma
  4. With first coat of sealer. It really brought out the contrast in the grain. The pic doesn't look as good as they do in person.
  5. We spent allot of time finding that match. The first piece of veneer, the one on the website, had to be exchanged because we could not get a match. Even though it was a prettier piece the pattern on that sheet was off center just enough to prevent cutting 2 similar panels. The pieces we ending up using had to be cut from the center of the 4' x 8' sheet. rigma
  6. Bruce, Thanks for the kind words. I live about 20 mi. east of Nashville in Lebanon. You are welcome to stop by anytime. There will be no shop though, that is my garage and will be cleaned up and have cars back in it in a few days..LOL rigma
  7. The veneer has been applied to the fronts. Next is to sand and seal the veneer, 2 day process. Paint the top and bottom access panels, and edge band them. Haul upstairs Wednesday evening, install woofers and 402. The goal is to fire them up by this weekend! More pics posted today at www.jubilation.ws. rigma
  8. Thanks TheEvan, the cut out is both top and bottom and is for acess to the woofers. There are plates not shown in the photos that will cover and seal these openings. They are the size and shape of the top and bottom. rigma
  9. Rigma, I am no expert, and not a woodworker, but I have been around some folks who do a little bit. That is the most amazing thing I have every seen. To start from scratch and build from plans is quite something. Travis Wow thanks Travis. I just post some more pics of the begining of the veneer process. rigma
  10. New pics today at www.jubilation.ws rigma

  12. wow!! that is going to look nice! just one small suggestion......on the wood borders around the horn, it might look better to miter (45 degree cut) the individual pieces instead of butt joining them together. just a thought.....and you asked! have a blessed night, roy delgado Yea Roy, that is what I will do. pauln did the original photo shop for me and I did not know how to change from butt to bevel. They are Black now. Hope to veneer tomorrow. Man I am getting close now! rigma
  13. Here is a Photo Shop rendition of what I have in mind for the finish. Thanks pauln. Comments please.
  14. Here is what I had in mind. Comments please. rigma
  15. Wow thanks pauln. That gives me a good idea what mine will look like. I was not planing on the veneer down the sides of the bass bins but may have to reconsider that. rigma
  16. pauln, Can you do me a favor and add black grill cloth to the bass bins and this veneer, and to the horn a frame in the same veneer also with black grill cloth? rigma
  17. We are getting very, very close. They will be ready for paint tomorrow. I don't have a paint booth so I will have to have a good weather day to paint. Then the veneer and up the stairs..install speakers & hook up. My best guess is 2 weeks until real Jubilation! I will post new pics later today. rigma
  18. Gosh maybe I should feel better. It must have been a poor joke when you called me a liar on the forum[:S] rigma
  19. It's better than mashed and re-hashed poo poo.[] rigma
  20. That's one of your better posts in a while Indy! Thanks for the chuckle. How about a contest? How many friggin wood screws are in those Jubilees? And how on earth did you get those bizarre big pieces of horn glued up with just the beveled edge and two stand-off blocks? Did you use biscuit joinery or ???/ Too many screws to count. About half way down the page at www.jubilation.ws you will see orange straps which I used to pull the panels up snug. I used epoxy on all those type joints. When the straps are tight, use clamps at the ends and you screw the panels to the stand-off blocks it makes a nice joint.
  21. correct. so when you going to blow thru them puppies? have a blessed day, roy delgado ps ignore deano......he's going thru jubilitus expectantnous verisoonous.... No predictions but they are getting closer. I won't get to work on them again till Monday evening. deno will be OK soon! rigma
  22. Roy, My assumption is that the K-31 are connected in parallel, am I correct? rigma
