  1. Crazy, might catch someone that is just barely familiar with Klipsch to recognize the RF7 but not realize these are v1. They do look to be in good shape, extra woofers is nice. Seller would be lucky to get 1/3 asking IMO. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk

    RC-7

No affiliation, if I were in CA I would check this out. Looks to be pristine. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Klipsch-RC-7-Center-/254874937692?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292 Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  3. https://www.ebay.com/itm/393071494993 No Affiliation No dust cap damage, minimal cone dimpling, minimal cabinet wear, 1 broken foot, has grills with some broken tabs (expected). If I were anywhere near Pompano Beach FL, I would jump on these. Verify smoking status though. The foam in the cabinet retains smell, however a white vinegar bath will significantly reduce any smells from prior owner. Foot can be purchased at premium from ebay seller or can 3d print, just need 1/4-20 heat insert thread and good to go. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  4. You lucky dog! As soon as I saw the post for the 76s I went out to grab 'em up but they were already gone. I am flabbergasted they were shipped without the magnets breaking off, congrats! I managed to find a pair locally that are in ok condition. Had to replace a woofer and have some refinishing to do as well. I am interested to see your your refinishing journey goes. 5. Looks to be a pen, possibly to give an impression of relative size of the horn loaded tweeter and magnet. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks for posting! I have FB marketplace notifications for klipsch postings but I did not get this notification. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  7. I wish I was headed through Vegas! I agree completely. My first RC7 I purchased 2nd hand and had shipped. That exact scenario happened to me. Thankfully the parts were still readily available at that time (2006 maybe?). Seller credited me the cost to purchase replacements and I just swapped the tweeter and woofers. I had a cabinet of loose magnets rolling around by the time it got to me. I think what you suggest is probably the safest approach to shipping really, remove the woofers and tweeter, package seperately and then ship cabnet and seperate box of components. I had read an article talking through purchasing a bunch of foam to build out bracing within the cabinet to support the drivers, but after all of that I think it would be just as easy/cost effective to break it down and ship seperately. 9. I am certain it is overkill, but for the novelty of it all, am trying to either get another pair of rb75 to match my current pair and hang as my front and rear heights. If the rb75s are too difficult to find, then planning on hanging rc7s as my heights. Currently running rf7s for my front/surr/back surr with an rc7 for my center. I would have gone RF7 for center as well but do not have the room for an AT screen. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  10. I should have specified, a pair. I will update my post. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  11. Looking to purchase your RC-7 and your pair of RB-75s. Unless you are experienced in successfully shipping these, I would prefer to pick up. I am willing to travel within 400 mile radius of 50003. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  12. I have a pair of RB75s currently being used in my family room as my front L/R. Bought them with my RF7s quite some time ago for rear duty in my 7.1 system at the time. I have not heard the 600s. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  13. I did consider the possibility of the RC7's in place of the RB75's. Toying with the idea of using the RC7s as heights. Surely overkill, but would be super fun to play around with. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  14. Someone already jumped on them, only listed for 3 hrs! Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  15. Appreciate the heads up. The search continues... Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  16. Agreed, I have not coordinated freight shipping. Attempting to get quotes on packing and shipping services to see if feasible. Greatly appreciate the community here looking out! Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  17. I am in Central IA, and willing to travel! Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  18. Looking for pair of RF-7 (any finish, any version) and RB75 (any finish). No damaged woofers/tweeters/crossovers please. I am ok with some cosmetic wear to cabinets, expected to some degree given the age of the originals. Thanks! Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  19. I was afraid of that. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  20. Can anyone recommend a more current bookshelf as a suitable substitute to the RB75?
  21. Hey Gorm, have these ever been mounted? Why part with them? I am in the Des Moines area and would be interested. Any chance you have a need for a pair of RS7's? I was considering going with the RB75's for my rears and side surrounds since I don't have the room to do RF7's all the way around.
  22. New construction under way, plan is for an AT screen in my theater area and while the RC7 has served me well so far, I would love to get my hands on another RF7 Classic to use as my center channel.
  23. Thanks for the screen suggestions. I was hoping to go for something in the 130" range, preferrably a curved screen but if the price is prohibative then obviously would go with the more traditional route. My initial desire was for a 2.35:1 screen, but with so few blu-rays being delivered in that format I will probably go with something more traditional. I was hoping to stay under $2k for the screen. I will have 9' ceilings in the basement where my theater area will be.
  24. thanks for the feedback SuBXeRo. I really don't want to have to give up the RS7s/RB75s either. You think a coffered ceiling with speakers mounted high would offer up that enveloping surround sound?
  25. I had originally posted in the Archetecural thread, but the traffic there seems pretty light. I was hoping perhaps the pro's here on this forum could assist me in planning out my home theater. Our new home is scheduled to begin construction here in the next few weeks and I am having a hard time figuring out what I want to do insofar as speaker placement in my home theater, the room is not exactly par for the course for a theater room. I am curious if it would make more sense to try to get in ceiling rears/surrounds or try to have something done insofar as adding beams or a coffered ceiling or something to mount the surrounds and rears. My front soundstage I intend to mount behind an accoustically transparent screen. Attached are the floor plans for the open theater room. The dim's on the diagonal wall are not final, they will be more set in stone as we go. (hopefully the link worked) LINK
