  1. I sent him an email saying I will take them, and will call tomorrow. That is <10 miles from where I live. Thank you. I have been dreaming about a pair of LaScala's for years, and did not want black. Now I just need to buy a large house to put them in, and a tube amp.
  2. In the living room I currently have a pair of KG5.5 and a KV-3, all medium oak that I bought new in '95, along with a pair of KG5.2 in oak that I bought on eBay. There is also a KSW-12. In my bedroom I have four KG2.5's and a KG2.2V, all in oak and bought on eBay. I also have another pair of KG5.5 in the closet that I plan to use to convert the living room to 6.1 someday (one will be hacked to make a center, the other the rear).
  3. Thats a lot everyone!!! Thats what I was looking for. STL, you have done the math on those port dimensions; I got them from one of your old posts. I have also found some good HornEd posts. Need to think this through some more. Not sure if I want to build a new enclosure or mod the 5.5 with a new motorboard.
  4. As stated, the domain name was clearly a play on the Microsoft brand name, and while I am not a huge MS fan, I would have to side with them if I was on the jury.
  5. Coincidentally, one of the repliers above just got a 2.2V center off Ebay for $75. I assume that would be me. I was/am actually looking for a 2.5V to go with the other four 2.5's, but when that 2.2 with a $75 BIN popped up, I had to jump. It sounds great. I am trying to decide if it sounds better than my KV-3. While not as loud (less effieicient I suppose), I think I like the 2.2's sound a little better.
  6. I would suggest yet another pair of 2.2's and a smallish sub. Both can be had on Ebay.
  7. Do I ask bad questions, because I rarely get answers

I didnt know you were on here man How did you know it was me How do you like your KG 5.5's man? ---------------- I read a lot more than I post here. And I forgot to mention my psychic abilities (more like intuition). I like the 5.5's. Like I said I have owned a set since '95. and recently bought a second pair and a pair of 5.2's. Along with a Denon 3803 they should make a nice 6.1 setup.
  9. I have a black 2.2V I can use as partial trade as well.
  10. What conition are these speakers in? No scratches or dinges. Got a pic of them http://www.klipsch.com/media/Products/115_large.jpg I have had a pair of 5.5's since '95, and still like them a lot. I was looking to get 400.00. That is a good price Erfan.
  11. I want to use a KG 5.5 for a center to compliment three other 5.5's and a pair of 5.2's. Would it be feasable to replace the front panel in the enclosure so the the arrangement would be Woofer-Horn-Woofer, with the horn below center line and a pair of smaller ports above the horn (two 2.125" diameter ports that are each 3.125" in length). How are these put together, and would I destroy it trying to do this? Thanks
  12. When I first got active in bulletin boards, I owned and raced a 1998 Camaro Z28 1LE. Hence the screen name. I have since sold the car, but kept the name.

  14. I find that it is best to try it both ways and let your ears decide. I expect that those will prefer to be set to large, even if you have a sub.
  15. I have bought several Klipsch off of eBay with no problems so far. I recently sold a pair of RS-35 off of this board. I would try here first.
  16. As I was bidding on a Denon receiver last night with a couple minutes left on an ebay auction, the seller ended the auction. Presumably because it was not going to net what the seller wanted. I was mad for a minute, but what can you do.
  17. I don't have that near many machines, but I am basically a Solaris admin. My main responsibilities are storage (HDS 9980/Brocade 12K), Veritas (NBU, vxvm ,vxfs, vcs, etc), Remedy, Weblogic, Oracle (not a real dba yet, but getting close), and several telco/wireless specific applications. I administrate a bunch of dev servers. I am also team lead of my group of 4. We have <200 servers, all Sun, ranging from Netra T1's to 6800's. Several years ago I worked at a tool design company administrating CAD apps on AIX and Solaris.

A money order is supposed to be in the mail for them.

gm, The speakers are in the same condition that I took them out of the box when I bought them new. I live in an apartment so they have never been "cranked up", and even if they were I don't think my little 70 wpc Denon could hurt them I looked up the credit card statement, and I ordered them on 10/19/2003. I will sell them for $325 shipped if that works for you. Please email me at chuckb@1le.net Thanks, Chuck
