  1. Ok, went to a local thrift store today and found RF-3's, RC-3, SB-3's and I think KSW-12 subwoofer for $35! Problem is all of the woofers are trash, except 1 on the RC-3. They said they all work, but, is it worth it to get them to refurb-at least the SB-3's for my great nephew? Cabs are pretty scratched up and only 1 grill for an SB-3

  2. Great mowers. I have the HRT-217 or similar I bought refurbed 15yrs ago at HD and it still runs strong! Have replaced the blade, and need new tires this year. Best mower I ever had

  3. I do have some KG 1.5's that I'm using for sides with my Cornwall II's. I'm contemplating going back to Reference for Home Theatre and would use my Rb-51's as sides with some RF floor standers. My first set was the RF-62 ii's which I sold for my Cornwalls which are really too large for my space. But, I LOVE THEM. I don't know what to do-HA

  4. Putting together a beginner system for my great nephew who is 10yrs old. I have some Fisher components from the '80's or early '90's. I don't want to spend over about $50 for a single Realistic or pair of bookshelves. I might give him my RB-51 ii's, but, his sisters will probably break everything, so, I want to get something cheap. Open to suggestions. thanks

  5. Well, I've had my fair share of "Youthman Deals". My first deal was a pair of Cornwall II's for $150-cabs are a bit rough but they sound great. Next deal was KG5.5 in perfect condition for $75. My latest deal is RF-52's, a RW-10d, an RC-10, 2 blu-ray players and an Onkyo TX-SR705 for $100 all of them local to me. Oh, and my best deal-Frazier Super Monte Carlo's with original boxes , receipt, and in mint condition for $50. I think I'm done for now, till the next one comes along.

  6. Yes, skip Sling. My brother had Sling and cancelled and went with HULU Live. I tried the free trial of hulu live and didn't like it too much. My tv is a Panasonic Plasma from I think 2010, and I had a wi-fi dongle for the Smart features. I plugged the fire stick into an HDMI on the tv and set up my modem and watched a YouTube video to set it up. I'm going to cancel Netflix too, cuz I can get most or all of their exclusive series. Go for it!! If you don't like it you can get sling or hulu live on the fire stick.

What is Kodi? And can you get the  networks NBC ABC CBS and Fox. When I tried to get them through sling TV apparently I’m not in the correct region to be able to receive those.

I just google how to Jailbreak an Amazon Firestick and it said to download KODI. You have pretty much ANY channel you want. Some are live, and some are on demand. I'm watching live golf right now on the Golf Channel and will be watching whatever college and NFL games I want live over the weekend. I'm only in my 2nd week of having this. It is a bit cumbersome to find exactly what I want at times, but, for free I'm not complaining. Yes, you can get the networks live too. Probably won't be local that's why I got an antenna. You can watch any new tv show from the Networks on demand right after they air live. Worth looking into IMO

P S I was paying Direct TV $120 a month plus $55 for internet. Now I pay for internet only

  8. I just ditched Direct Tv and bought a refurbed Amazon Firestick for $35 and downloaded Kodi and get all the sports and tv live and on demand for free. I still need to tweak it a bit, but, so far am liking it. I can get all the Amazon Prime, Netflix, and Hulu series free too. I tried Playstation Vue, and Hulu Live for the free trials and cancelled. I get my locals OTA and stream everything else.

  9. Update! I tried watching a blu-ray last week on my PS3 and the audio was cutting out as well, also, on Netflix. So, I freaked out thinking that my AVR HDMI inputs/outputs were failing and I needed a new AVR-mine is 6-7 yrs old. Anyway, I ended up buying new cables from Monoprice and everything is fine with the PS3 and blu-ray and Netflix worked perfectly last night-whew! But-the Directtv box is still messing up when I switch channels sometimes the video is gone and I have to turn it off and on to get it back. Dang, I hate calling Directtv cuz it takes forever to get any help. BLAH

  10. Thanks that's what I thought. I already had the 52 because I started out with RF-62's. I do have some '85 Heresy I's, but, my current audio rack will not hold it. I might just switch back to the Frazier Super Monte Carlo that I was using. I think it sounded better.

  11. I think my cables are starting to fail.  I keep losing signals and sometimes the audio doesn't come through properly IE: Stereo when it should be 5.1 digital. I'm not sure if this is due to the cables or the SAT box. My SAT box crashed and DirectTV just sent me a new refurbed unit in the last 2weeks and that is when the problems started. Should I just buy new cables? And what are you all using. I bought the orig cables from Monoprice about 5 to 6yrs ago, so figured it is time for new ones. Thanks for the advice in advance

  12. Yea he is weird-HA. Well, yesterday I took my GIG to the bowling alley for my league, and now I need to find bluetooth speakers for 2 of my friends. One of which already has one but now needs  Klipsch. These poor sheltered people!

  13. Easter Sunday is a great day on it's own, but, add to it introducing family to the world of Klipsch. I had purchased the R-20b sound bar for a friend who flaked out and I decided to give it to my brother as a gift for being a great brother, so, I took it to his house for Easter dinner. Well, he had some off-brand sounder already so declined my generous offer. We brought it in the house and his son-in-law-I guess my nephew in-law? hooked it up to his phone and they were all blown away. Played some Beatles, Tom Petty, etc. and the nephew in law ended up buying it from me for what I paid-even though I was going to give it to my brother. He doesn't even know where he is going to put it but once he heard it he had to have it. I told him he needs to come to my house and hear some real Klipsch speakers-Cornwall II's.

    HAPPY BELATED EASTER TO ALL!!!

  14. Hi Dee, I have a pair of RB-51 that are sitting unused. I have the original box and all paperwork, there is one small blemish on one corner from it falling off the couch before I got stands. Otherwise in perfect condition with very little usage. Was thinking $175 shipped. Let me know

  15. Hey Stephen, that is almost my exact set-up, my center channel is a Frazier Super Monte Carlo, but, I use Cornwall II's for fronts and KG 1.5 as surrounds. My room is pretty small and not optimum.  I know what you mean about the little KG's, they are great little speakers.

  16. I'm not sure what to do with/to my Cornwall II's. The terminal cap says 1985, the tags are missing so I'm assuming they are from 1985. I think they are oak and have brown grills. My question is-should I start with the caps? They sound really good now, but, I know they could sound better. Any advice is welcome.
