I alternate between First Watt -M2 and Hand Made Weston Acoustics amps from Australia My amps were a custom made design they were built with tube rolling in mind - 4 types can be used http://www.westonacoustics.com/ Here are some photos Both hand built by Earle Weston When I say hand built I mean hand built as he also winds his own transformers This is the main amp and has an output from 6 to 14wpc depending on tubes used ( KT88 tubes in photo ) And this is the preamp with inbuilt DAC and headphone amp

I am feeling your pain However the sound issue may not have been the bands fault Tuning and sound setup is normally performed by other technicians and sometimes the venue may only allow their own people to use the equipment

Spinning now a traditional rock with prog leanings album from 1978 This release is dominated with keyboards and guitar I’m sure most members will know this band and songs Extra info This album was part of a purchase I made a few weeks ago I was surprised that it was a sample gatefold record that Discogs say is from NZ Suprised that it’s as new and has the promo literature inside, this includes a story of the band a magazine clipping and a B&W photo See photos Artist - Styx Title - Pieces Of Eight

In my opinion both my suggestions are better than a stock standard Vincent If you want the tube sound you can add the IFI itube to either phono amp https://ifi-audio.com/portfolio-view/micro-itube2/ Another member took my advice and is now super happy

A briliant album and I love it Because I have listened to Close To The Edge for longer I rate it as equal As these things go with signals from the aether I was just on eBay and found a Yes Fragile T Shirt Think I will treat myself and get one
