ya forgot to mention the human metronome up there w/ur gaggle.  Raymond Cooper.  Zero better than him on the planet!

I did notice Ray Cooper and his passion on that video

I would describe him as a flamboyant perfectionist

Taking a huge risk here by posting images of a openly communist album. 😁

This 1988 Billy Bragg album, punk folk, has the subtitle 'capitalism is killing music', referring to the 1980s campaign 'Home taping is killing music'.

    I plead guilty!

Note the horn speaker in the cover art.

My album still has its original price tag. I paid 379 Bfr for it, which is slightly less than 10 euros/dollars.

    A little sidetrack post

I have a scar on my right arm from an injury sustained in Greece when I was about 8 yo during the socialist movement in the late 60s

  3. I have a quick update as this post is being sent via mobile phone as we are in darkness without power

We have had all around us major weather destruction starting on Christmas Day with cyclones and now on New Year’s Day major flooding

Where my home is we only got the edge of both weather events and are safe for now

    But electricity is cut off

Now I’m not that old but I do remember when I was under 10yo candles and oil lanterns used in our home

So after I post this I will light up some candles

Well, my tonearm lift quit in the up position so it’s other discs until next year. Not the worst option by a long shot.

    WD 40 perhaps

Or my preference- lanolin penetrating oil like Inox

  8. Remember when I mentioned a record I was looking for in the collection

Well I couldn’t find it and that made me mad as hell

So I purchased Richard Wright - Wet Dreams (The new Steve Wilson mix)

And at the same time I purchased an obscure release that I’m sure no one here has heard of - By the way it was released only on cassette and again  on vinyl a few years ago, and when I saw it I just had to have it.

So I will keep it a secret for now and keep you in suspense until it arrives

  9. I do have to apologise about my absence in posting records lately

However I have a good reason?

Granddaughter 3.5yo and Wife decided to take over my music room for Christmas for a few weeks

So I can still play in background mode via the Bluesound Node as the whole system is obstructed

Don’t believe me - ha or should I say HoHoHo and just post a picture

They even put trolls on my TT

Wishing you all a veryMerry Christmas 🎅 and I know it’s a day or two early as we are 12 hours ahead in Australia 🇦🇺 but I will be head chef on Christmas Day so I may only have a quick check on the forum to see what’s new 🤘

ACH JA ...I couldn't say NO again , since today I have my NoS Entré 1 MC in operation.

Originally manufactured by Soltear Acoustics Inc. Japan. The Lentek Entré 1 MC was designed by Mr. Matsudaira, who began his career as a designer at Tokyo Sound Co. in 1959. For ten years he worked for NHK (Japanese National Broadcast) where he designed tonearms and cartridges. In 1967 he moved to SUPEX as chief designer. From 1970 to the late 1990s, he worked as a senior designer for many famous brands, including Entré, Miyabi, Kouetsu, Audio Craft and Air Tight. In 2003, he founded his own company My Sonic Lab in Japan.

    Technical specifications:

    • Frequency Response: 10 Hz – 50.000 Hz
    • Output Voltage: 0,2 mV (3.54cm/s, 1000 Hz, 45 degree)
    • Channel Balance: within 1 db (1000 Hz)
    • Channel Separation: better than 28 db (1000 Hz)
    • Compliance: 10 x 10-6cm/dyne
    • Impedance: 3.0 ohms
    • Recommended Load Resistance: 100 ohms
    • Tracking Force: 1.8 grams + 0.3 grams
    • Vertical Tracking: 20 Degree
    • Stylus: diamond Elliptical, with a radius of 0.3 mil x 0.8 mil

Look up the Manuka honey it has to do with the foliage that produces the flowers they pollinate! It can actually have antibiotic properties to it.

I found it was much better in hot tea per @Full Range instructions!

Manuka honey is a New Zealand term

But the tree species that produces Manuka honey Is a native Australian Tea Tree or Leptospermum scoparium

Yea it’s great in tea with apple cyber vinegar and I have it almost every day

What I mean George is I quit the upper tier of updates and dropped back to the beta level where they are more stable way more stable. But the thing is they're only good for a certain amount of time if you don't update.

With the problems getting internet here... I will not give out my SS number when trying to find options for purchasing internet. One doofus thought I might do that. Well that company is out. Too many trees for starlink and it cost too much anyhow, so I'm back at the drawing board and won't have it immediately. But will have all my CDs.

    I haven’t looked into it but ?

Are there Bluetooth systems that can deliver “stored on device” streaming for close proximity use ?
