  4. Hard to believe these are still available. If you have Crite's Cornscalas and have the 700 bucks jump on these now! Sure, Crite's xover are fine but these are in another league. Wonder how much better these are as compared to my SuperX? Hmmmmmmm
  5. Thanks for the Klipsch k510 suggestion. They look like a drop in replacement for the 2380 in the Crites Cornscala. I did send an email out to American Cinema for availability. Other than that, very little in via Google. Are these horns still being made? Any substitutes?
  6. Good morning, guys Can anyone explain why a particular manufacturer would chose one over the other? What are they trying to achieve? What are the sonic differences? I've been told by many to replace my 2380A on my Cornscalas. I think it sounds pretty good but to be honest I haven't heard anything else to compare it to. Thanks b
  7. I'm impressed with the photos taken with the iPhone. How much do you want for that?
  8. Well, go ahead and buy the Monoprice. Then order a pair from either Morrow Audio, Clear Day, Grover Huffman, Anti-Cables or Triode Wire Labs ( Pete, the owner, has Khorns) to name a few and listen for yourself. All have at least 30 day return privileges. True, some prices for wire are ridiculous and the laws of diminishing returns set in quite quickly IMHO but you do need to listen for yourself to tell if the extra cost is worth it. You really have nothing to lose My two pesos
  9. Hi jacksonbart the Cornscalas appear to be flush against the side wall but in reality they are toed in. Much more now then the photo below shows
  10. Schu How about these? Located in California and may be a drivable distance for you, http://www.usaudiomart.com/details/649201596-klipsch-cornerhorns/
  11. For the love of God, sell them to him Skippy. What if Schu arranged for the packing and shipping? All you do is collect the money!
  12. Little Skippy That's a very very attractive price even without the Alethia Xover. You may want to consider reinstalling the original xover and sell the Alethiea separately at your cost. At least those can be shipped. Just a thought
  13. Plenty of linestages in your price range but with phono a little more difficult but I did come across this. Should work well with the 300B amp http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=134602.0
  14. None, but the reviews are pretty sterling on price/performance. However, these guys are getting a LOT of raves from price/performance at 179.00. Looks like you can build you own! http://store.uturnaudio.com/pages/build-your-own-orbit TT: $179 Acrylic Platter: $75 Grado Blue Cartridge: $105 Orbit Cue: $40 Cork Pad; $20 total:$419 Done!
  15. This one comes to mind and it Includes arm and cartridge. Dont think you can find anything else cheaper http://www.amazon.com/Music-Hall-Driven-Turntable-Cartridge/dp/B001FUF8FQ
  16. hello gentlemen I'm thinking of replacing the JBL 2380A clone that came with my Crites cornscalas. I dont want to perform surgery so Im looking at placing it on top of the speaker but my concern is the height. The tweeter horn would be at ear level but the midrange would be firing over my head. Anyone see an issue with this?
  17. I dont believe its an issue with the 5i or current Naim amps. Older amps did have a problem for sure
  18. Paying retail? WTF are you talking about...you might want to cool it with those meds.... I dont think its the meds but the CHRONIC PAIN. I can only imagine being in that type of pain 24/7 so lets give Dean some slack. He's just having a bad day dealing with the pain today I'm sure.
  19. Bob I've owned Naim gear in the past including the Nait 5i but never with horns so IMHO I dont see this pair working well together. Naim is known for there sometimes aggressive presentation and with the right speaker can provide a toe-tapping good time. With horns, I see the combo being shrill to the point of being unlistenable but then I could be wrong

  21. The DCM50 is a major upgrade over D405. The D405 is a more forgiving driver ( less accurate), giving a "warmer" sound as some would describe. The DCM50 can be ruthlessly revealing. Anything in the audio chain, whether good or bad, will be revealed so be carefull what you wish for . If you have the stock Crites xover, dont even think of going to the DCM50. Swap it our for the ALK, or better yet, the SuperX. Then make the move. You wont regret it. Parts Express has a return policy if the DCM50 dont work out. Take advantage of that and give it a go. Very easy to install, also.
  22. No relation to the seller. just an FYI http://app.audiogon.com/listings/full-range-klipsch-klipschorn-loudspeakers-loudspeakers-2015-02-17-speakers-94587-union-city-ca
