  1. Yup...... See all kinds of crazy stuff on old 25 year old cars...... I can't get the owner of this old Accord to junk it..... I started condemning this old car a few years back......but he just keeps bringing it in with problems he wants fixed..... So I fix it MKP :-)
  2. Afternoon all..... Carl, hope the toe is feeling better.... Got this old Accord in the shop and it's got some headlight issues..... they work sometimes then they don't...... there bright then get real dim..... Hmmmm I think I found the problem......lol lol MKP :-)
  3. For real richieb, There seems to be no shortage of crazy weather going on around the country. We had a warm front come in last week and caused some major crapp here...... and were on the East coast. You Midwest guys be safe!! You go IbizaFlame MKP :-)
  4. Ahhhhhhhhhhh............ Success MKP :-)
  5. +1 Enjoy your Klipsch MKP :-)
  6. There's a pressure dressing on it now. I'll bust it open tomorrow when I change the dressing. YEA YEA........ Do it.... MKP :-)
  7. Funny how crapp happens like that..... well not funny MKP :-)
  8. You know that nail is going to come off..... lol lol...... Sorry Carl.... been there A BIG trailer hitch fell on my toe a couple years back and it about dropped me to the shop floor... It hurt so bad I knew once I took off my shoes, my day was over. Sooooo, when we got home... and yea even the bottom of my foot was bruised.... I feel your pain my bro...... looks like me and you have one thing in common.......... we got ugly feet MKP :-)
  9. I don't think the nail got down to the cords in the sidewall and I don't think the tire will blow out next week, but as a professional shop I must recommend that the tire be replaced and tell my customer it's unsafe to drive on. Tires and cars can be replaced....... but not people...... I always air on the side of caution..... MKP :-)
  10. Nice..... I bet that one hurt a bit I got my toenail smashed a couple years back and the nail never grew right again.... What fell on it Carl? MKP :-)
  11. Hey Wezzor I'll throw this out there.... other might chime in..... I'm not the knower of all audio...... but I've own quite a few amps and speakers in my day and I have yet to hear a "bad" amp that was working properly. Some amps do sound different than others.....mostly in the bass dept .....imho..... Right now I just paired up my LaScalas with a Carver 4.0t amp and it sound great...... this is one of the best combos I've matched up in quite some time. The bass is more punchy with that amp compared to the Adcom 555II I was using with them. Do the Adcoms sound "bad"? No they don't the Carver just give the LaScalas a different sound in the bass dept..... and I like it. I understand I'm talking about a much larger speaker than what you have... just trying to make a point about how amps differ. One of the only amps I didn't care for was a Adcom 545II that I had for a few months..... That amp ran out of power for how I listen to most music. It had good sound at lower volumes but it couldn't drive my speaker to higher listening levels with out clipping..... So down the road that amp went... Again with the Klipsch that you own it's not gonna take a whole lot of power to drive them. IMHO I think any 75-100 watt SS amp will drive those RP-160 with out any issues. 75-100 watts is a good bit of power for those smaller speakers. I hope some others will chime in with there thoughts..... but anyway, jump in..... what have you been thinking about for amps? MKP :-)
  12. Time for Michlins Don't leave it alone, but pulling out is up to you ? not my tire.... just some old Accord in the shop...... I'm just gonna point it out to the owner..... what he wants to do is up to him lol lol Yea Gary, we got some weather around here also. we missed most of the bad stuff around the shop and house but there were a bunch of reports of trees through house around the Baltimore area. Looking around my trees at my house I gotta get some dead branches cut off. I noticed there is one BIG limb hanging over were we park our cars..... not parking there any longer till I get the tree work taken care of. Yes Chuck condolences to LF.... I know about the dental thing Chuck...... I just got another crown put on a tooth that I had a root canal done several years back. Counting this crown I'm close to 4 g's on this one tooth. We have no dental so I save my side job/cash money to get my dental work done. These tooth issues dig into my audio buying money That's what my dad says...... your right!! Wishing all a great Friday.... later.... MKP :-)
  13. Hello Wezzor and welcome to the forum. I have no experience with the RP-160'so that you have. But it shouldn't take a lot to power those guys. Are you looking at new amps or used? I take it your across the pond Good luck..... MKP :-)
  14. Afternoon all..... The question of the day....... Do I pull it out or leave it alone?? lol lol MKP :-)
  15. Here is a pic of the little hook that got the door open....... This really saved the day. MKP :-)
  16. Yes it is...... and I'm just Humping along We are supposed to get some really bad weather later this afternoon.... got this warm front coming in gonna be in the 70's today..... Had a kinda job come in the shop yesterday...... a 98 Accord that drivers door will NOT open from the inside or outside......oh yea what fun..... I've done a few of these back at the dealer.... Honda had a bulletin for the 90-93 Accords. So it's been years since I've fooled with one of these problems. We would have to rip off the inner door panel (with the door shut) to gain access to the door latch then use a 90* drill and drill in the right spot on the latch and hope you get it the 1st time. I sucked at that part.... we had one guy at the dealer that seemed to hit the right spot most of the time. So once the door panel was off we would call him over. Well that guy is not at my shop so before I started drilling I did a little Goggle search to see what info is out there now, cuz we didn't have Goggle back in 1990. Well I came across two videos of this problem where the mechanic made a little tool with a hook on it to grab a little tab that you can't even see. He showed on the removed latch where the tab is and even that was hard to see on the video. So I made a little hook tool out of a timing belt hydraulic tension pin and dove in..... about 30 minutes of fishing around the latch the door popped open... OH YEA.... So much better than the drill method. Back at the dealer we would have cars come in from other shops that tried to get these stuck doors open..... some of them were so hacked up that it took twice as long to fix. Well my new latch just showed up from the dealer...... Time to get Humping....... Later.... MKP :-)
  17. Never seen the Del Taco here on the East Coast...but we do have the Taco Bell.....I like it once and awhile.... Now when I lived in El Paso we would go over to Juarez Mexico and get some "real" tacos..... man they were good. mmmmmmm Juarez was a crazy place even 30+ years ago.......I can't believe I made it back to base some weekends.....cuz I ate so many tacos....yea that's it..... I saw stuff over there you only read about MKP :-)
