  1. If anyone has a "Buffalo Wild Wings" in their area, the hot pretzel and cheese appetizer is very good. :emotion-21:

I know where I'm going on Tuesday then.  Could use some Parm-Garlic wings as well.

Cold beer is a must with wings......

I prefer a gentlemen's drink myself. A rum and coke does just fine.

  3. My understanding is you would probably need to modify the cabinet.  If I remember right, another forum member tried to replace it with a better driver, but ended up needing to refit it entirely.  You might be better off just using another Promedia 2.1 driver.

  4. I think your subwoofer is haunted.  Better call the Ghost Hunters over at TAPS. :D

In other news - I have a sub that uses a downfiring slot port that seems to work out just fine.  Although I can adjust it to be front firing (since it's setup to work that way as well), I don't mainly because...finding right angle subwoofer cables in town is a nightmare...

  5. That's the first guy I fenaggled with.  He had a damaged RC-3 II that was trying to sell it as new.  The surrounds were in nice shape, but the center was a disaster.  He actually texted me earlier this morning.

At any rate, I'm set on surrounds now - so that means some other lucky dog is gonna get them.

  6. I've done A/B listening between the 82's and the 3's before and hands down I always selected the 3's on their own.  The 82's seemed tinny to me.

To each their own, but I can say the same for the surrounds and centers too.  I may own some new reference stuff, but if I was given an option I'd go back to the single digits in a heartbeat.  But again, that's just me.

  7.

    You can buy the rf82-ii

I guess I tend to forget there are other Reference speakers then RF-7's, and RF-5's.  These where the speakers that first got me to notice Klipsch.  When they replaced them with from what I felt was a down grade, I guess I felt the same as you.

I can relate to this, I've always thought and do still think that the 3's, 5's, and 7's were better.

  8. Yeah, but I gotta wait for money to replenish.  I had some really shoddy things happen these last two weeks in the midst of that sale that really got me good in the way of being cash strapped.  When it rains it pours. lol
