That box has to be close to 18-20cuft...?

Space becomes the commodity.

Will do. But just received the additional HT-18's and once they are in, probably won't add anymore, as 6 18's should do the job easily
-
15K views! Thats insane!!

There's physically no way to implement that size enclosure into my room, concealed behind my small wall wall. I'm working on a design and will post the outcome when done. Will be similar to a horn type sealed box. But thank you for the information Rowman611!

Opposite of Caitlyn J., i'm just sayin'

Well, the topic does say "Subwoofer humor"

That should be a awesome video and audio to boot!

The only time I make it to Indy is for the MotoGP race once a year. But that's nothing but a big party for 3 days!
-
Definitely will and open invite to you as well to my place. FYI, I'm adding 2 more SI HT 18's for a total of 6. But, will be behind the front left wall, stacked. With another iNuke6000dsp, all on the way. Should be even more intense. I hijacked my own thread! LOL!

Probably acts as a horn loaded sub with the parameters of the location I would assume. Would love to hear it!
-
IMO, I love my LG's
-
I thought you had some of those (5) subs located in the rear??

My system was designed around the Atmos placement, and it sounds awesome. I'll mount the RB-61II's 3 ft. above and try the two different input sources (Front height as it should be and Front Atmos speakers just for fun) to see which suits better.
-
I have a new pair of RB-62II just laying around waiting for a spot in my lineup. So, I was wondering if anyone still uses front height speakers. I also wondered if I installed them in the the front height position, that I could feed them with the Dolby Atmos front signal. Thoughts...

Drive-in theater, gosh, I wish we had one around me. I remember going with my parents. Neat experience.

Did you trailer all the stuff out along with a couch?
-
Shipping out today from left-coast. I'll post some pics once they are here.

Swatches just arrived! I'm impressed with the leather samples from 4seating versus the ones from Palliser. The swatches from 4seating are much thicker and supple. Will place my order today. I'm going to go the premium top grain leather, power recline, color black, row of 4.
-
Well, I still waiting for the samples...coming pony-express.

Those like very nice, but as you mentioned, also very expensive. Nice room btw!

Nismo is right, it really is an immersive experience and I for one thoroughly enjoy the sound experience. Everyone that I have demoed my system for has stated that is was like a 360 degree experience. I would suggest, if you are building a new system, to incorporate discrete in-ceiling speakers into the build project to include Dolby Atmos. There's always the questions of why would we now use "reflection" as we have worked towards stopping FR reflection. Think about it...If you want sound to come from the top, then install speakers in the ceiling. IMO.

First Experience with Audyssey Calibration (not quite what I expected)

The real question is, did you answer the door? -
Head unit = Marantz AV7702 Pre/Pro Ceiling speakers = Proficient Protege C791

Worded exactly like the THX sales pitch from the early 80's. Now the question is 30 years later, how many people believe that it's still relevant material? I have (4) ceiling speakers for the use of a Atmos track and it does sound cool. You are gonna see most speaker vendors offer "modules" to be placed on top of others and you will hear the paid experts rave about how much better the modules are than a ceiling mounted speaker, for one reason, much easier to add modules than try and fish wiring in a existing built-out home. The masses will go with the modules. And the FR stuff is just marketing. IMO
