  1. Hey NISMO, my four RP-140SA's have shipped. Ground shipping of course, so I guess late next week I will get them. The Marantz amp is on the way too. I am so excited!
  2. I recently posted my personal experience with the RP-280F Reference Premiere system I purchased. https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/159027-reporting-new-rp-280f/ I wanted to post my feelings on 2.1 channel as well. For some basic setup history for those of you who care, you can see in my signature my hardware. I used a miniDSP DDRC 88A Dirac live processor, to calibrate the peaks and lows and minimize phasing/cancelling issues. Following the same process, yet for 2.1 has yielded magic. Anyone interested in the new Reference Premiere Series (Replacing Reference II) will not be disappointed. My listening room is 20Wx24Lx9H with insulated concrete walls (minimizes echoing). Everything from Metallica's One to my vinyl of Zepplin's Stairway to Heaven is handled with such precise clarity I am staggered these speakers were so cheap...figuratively speaking. Using my vinyl, I could hear every pluck of a guitar string, every impact of the bass drum no matter how fast. The R-115SW handles even the fastest metal (Slipknot and Nitro) with no issue and without becoming overpowering. True music lovers will appreciate that the RP-280F Floorstanding speakers are so capable even at reference level. Since I don't listen to organ music, I am happy to report the the R-115SW's 16Hz response is more than enough. Never was it left huffing and puffing trying to hit something lower. Music lovers rejoice. I love this setup. It is a great compliment to my music collection. If anyone would like additional details, either post to this forum or feel free to PM.
  3. I hereby declare my envy of your system.
  4. Hey there!! You can't just leave in the middle of a drive-in movie!!!
  5. Don't rock out too hard, you could throw out your neck.
  6. Several. Sorry you had to learn the hard way. First..."Where did you (the seller) originally buy this product?" - I ask that to see if they got it from a store or from some alien planet e.g. their garage. Even if listed, I ask for the serial number or at least half of it, so I can check if that serial has ever existed with the manufacturer. Anyone honest should be able and willing to give you say half of the serial. If possible, request the first half, which is either a lot # or coded manufacturing date. (This next part is less honest) but... If you don't trust the seller and they don't have specific details on the product, but they have listed a 'model' number, ask a question that they should know. Say the receiver is 5.1 and you know that, ask the seller how good it sounded with all 7 channels plugged in. Which it obviously doesn't have 7 channels, but if they say, "It sounded great with 7 speakers plugged in!", you will know it's fake. Hope some of that makes sense.
  7. And I am waiting for shipping. Should arrive this week. Ordered a Marantz MM8077 7-channel too. Needed the extra outs and power. SC-91 is 7.2, got 9.2 coming. Ordered another R-115SW too. So 9.2. Oh dear...what have I done. sounds like someone won the lotto or something. I wish. To be honest, I am getting married, and my side of the wedding party wants to help me get this stuff. There is a catch though...football parties at my place every Sunday. I think I can live with that. Joking aside though, they are putting in about $3000 total as a combined present from all them. And my soon to be wife and I have a house already, and we own our cars. Not great cars, but paid for. So we each get fun money!!

  9. I need some room for expansion, so I orderend a Marantz MM8077 7-ch. Thanks to my Klipsch addiction, I am adding another sub, and surround back speakers too. I needed all the channels I could get at a decent price. So the Marantz will power the big boys e.g. L/C/R's, and the 2 RP-160M. The Pioneer can handle the rest easily. Having the 7-ch will allow for much expansion in the future should I need it. Yikes, I am so addicted to sound!!!
  10. Ok, then all your questions are answered. I say make a choice and stick to it. You can grow the system later if you like it and have the funds.
  11. Me too! Now I get to give it back to Klipsch. I just orderend 4, or two pair of 140SA. Time for ATMOS!!!
  12. Thx NISMO. And, to break the good news, I did!!! Ordered 4, or two pair of 140SA's. Dolby ATMOST, here I come!!!
  13. Just got a price match on my Klipsch and saved $450!! Please see my post called "MONEY BACK, FYI for new buyers.
  14. Hey all, as some of you are aware, I recently purchased the RP-280F system. Most of it just went on a huge sale online and I just got back $450. Others of you have responded to other posts telling me you have ordered Reference Premeir. Be sure to get your price matching .
  15. Gotta say, I am sooo happy with them. I can't praise them enough. Thank you for the compliment.
  16. A1UC got more than bargained for with this thread!
  17. Hmmm, that's a good question. I don't know. They are listed about all the other Reference and Reference 2 Series, but below Palladium. I will try to find out. I meant what did they replace in your system, your previous speakers, my question was worded odd….sorry. Oh my bad. Well, two in one then. Klipsch says they replaced the Reference II Series. And in my system, I had old DCM KX Series 2 speakers first. Huge 12" drivers, good for the boy I was. And some KLH 3-way surrounds. Now, you can see what I have in my signature. It is so fun being a Klipsch owner!

  19. Reiterating a previous suggestion, how about you start with a nice 2.1 system? Or even a 3.1? It would be more in your budget, and give you the flexibility to perhaps get a decent series of speaker you will enjoy for the long run. You can always add speakers later.
  20. Agreed. Jloew, we are doing our best to help guide you in a direction that is beneficial to you. It may be time for you to pull the trigger on what you can afford, use some of our advice and just enjoy what you get.
  21. Thank you. I really like it. Perfect level of sound and amazing quality. I am very happy with the new Premiere Series.
  22. LOL! Firestarter! Seriously, I don't even know what you mean, "a lost cause" arguing with these replies. Your opinion is always interesting, and to me arguing is not only tolerated, but encouraged! Of course I mean "argue" in the higher sense that we defend more than one side of an issue, an exchange of ideas. It's how I learn the best sometimes. And so they ate the King's minstrels...and there was much rejoicing! Hooray!!
  23. Posted the pictures good man! Not as impressive as yours', but I like it.
  24. Here is the current setup. I even had Spartacus on the screen for y'all.
